I never realized how widespread the PICA and whatever the smell/feel version of PICA is. You all seem to have a good sense of humor about talc/soap/ice/chalk. It strikes me as very weird, maybe because I've never seen it personally. I hope you guys have the medical and personal support you need. I worry about you guys and exposure to some of this stuff...even the soap. Does it resolve after you give birth? Best of luck weird pregnancy habit mamas, I'm sure you are doing your best to keep you and your baby safe and healthy! I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you.
I was an ice eater with both of my other pregnancies and it literally stopped as soon as I delivered. We shall see if it's the same situation this go 'round.

Mine 100% went away too! I went from Eating crushed ice multiple times a day to not touching it at all. I also went from wanting to eat things like chalk and powder to having no desire. I feel for those that don't have it leave. I think it's a relief to know some others feel the same way and being able to joke about it makes me feel better about it.
Not gonna lie, haven't wanted to drink/eat the Gain bubbles, BUT I have thought about using the dish liquid for bubble bath. Not sure about that either, so hand washing it is!
When I was growing up, I was allergic to bubble bath. We occasionally used dish soap to create a bubble bath! It didn't harm my body or my bath...but maybe if you try to shower afterwards to make sure your skin is not sensitive to it?
@NotISaidtheCat I'm not eating it anymore!! I just making a point of the doctor thought it was funny instead of prescribing something or giving me info on dangers of eating it!! Which I had googled. After I gave birth with my last child those cravings went away. So my point was my doc didn't do his job about the pics cravings that is all lol I thought we was just having a discussion about weird habits . I wasn't looking for advice sorry if I made you angry #:-S

It may come to this after a long stressful day. I just ran out of my lavender bubble bath tonight!!
I have mild anxiety at times normally and this is most definitely an anxiety thing but ever since becoming pregnant I have a totally new and pretty constant worry about injuring my wrists. I have never injured them before and they aren't weak or anything...it doesn't make sense. Usually my anxieties are at least relevant - not just total nonsense like this?! Any one else with this type of thing?
@krystleshel I took recently started going to the Landry rooms & smelling tide liquid detergent & powder as we'll husband said I have a soap fetish the last couple months of pregnancy.
@klkonwi I've been doing that since 2nd tri! I turn it on when I walk in the door! Found out distant cousin works for P&G, said they call what I am a "Gain-iac"!
@ngaines27 Sonic sells their ice??!! This would be a game changer! I am so obsessed with that crushed slushie ice.... I get one at a minimum 4X a week!
IVF #1 September 2014 - Transferred one 5-day blast : BFN

I'm with everyone else who's suddenly obsessed with eating ice. I've never liked a lot of ice in my drinks, but the past few weeks I want a lot and am always crunching on it as I drink and after the liquid is gone. Chick-fil-a ice is a lot like Sonic's, it's great too! Not sure if they sell it, but I've been enjoying it in my drinks when I eat there.

Yes! This!
Never really craved crushed ice before, or really enjoyed it, but I've been spooning it out of my drinks lately. Ice, ice, baby?
