how are y'all feeling today (tonight, for you insomniacs)?
Looks like there will be some more babies being born today, noting the induction threads and whatnot. Good luck today, everyone, whether LO arrives or stays baking!
I have a week off now (!!), then one more full day and two half days. Still waking at 7:30 on the dot to take my thyroid meds, though old me could sleep til noon. Have been waking up nauseous and sore, but usually better by mid-morning, then swollen by end of day.
So all very normal and fine! Dreams are sooo weird. Ew. Hate my subconscious right now, lol!
You would think with only 3 hours of sleep last night and a cold I would fall asleep right away tonight. NOPE! I wish this kid was out of me so I could spend my time awake being productive and taking care of a newborn rather than just sitting around wasting time.
I have been experiencing false labor since Monday and it's awful. My contractions at their closest have only been 6 minutes apart but that's not close enough to warrant going to the hospital according to the nurse. They will go on for hours then fizzle out. My appt with my OB is today at 2:30. I need to figure out something. This is awful and I'm completely exhausted. Going through it as I type this..hence why I am up right now. Ugh.
Having insanely itchy skin the last 48 hours all over it's driving me nutty, dr said to just deal with it but no solutions on how to just deal with it. Wish I had of kicked him in the balls and said for him to just deal with it.
Getting really cranky, irritable and emotional which I haven't been this whole pregnancy.
Slept a total of 2 hours yesterday and I am so tired I can barley hold my eyes open.. I can fall asleep for a whole 15 minutes before I am wide awake again. It's annoying. 1 cm dialated and more frequent BH in my back. He is sitting low, feels like when I walk his head is between my legs. 36 weeks today! Most the babies in my family have been born around this time. Which technically means nothing butttt... Where as I am miserable at times and wish he was here I am terrified of what happens when he does come. I am a FTM and only child. I have been around kids but never for an extended period of time. When I was in high school my legal guardian had a baby and I helped with him but that was 12 years ago. So much had changed and even then I was 17 and he wasn't mine. Now all I think about is what I will do when he does come. Can I handle this? What if I fall asleep and don't hear him crying? Everyone says I am over reacting and just relax but that's easier said than done. On top of all my stress and worry I feel like I cannot accomplish anything what so ever. I need so badly to pack a hospital bag for me and the hubs. Baby is ready to go though. I need to clean my house and vaccume but I go to start the activity and I get tired and just stop. I need help I think to get everything ready but I am terrified to ask now. I guess it's time to pee or get off the pot about that. Sorry this is so long.. I just feel kind of helpless right now and nothing on TV so I get to listen to my sweet husband snore... oddly comforting...
Struggling with insomnia and aches and pains. At 36 I'm starting to feel like I'm getting too old for this pregnancy thing. I'm starting to do the pregnancy shuffle, as my DH calls it, where my feet don't really want to pick themselves off the floor, so I just shuffle along like an old lady. Lord help me when all this relaxin leaves my body and I have to drag my happy ass up the stairs.
LO is enjoying her 4 am snack and is kicking and squirming in there. She woke me up after I had to pee when she got the hiccups.
Good luck today @teather5! Keep us posted if you can!
So you know how you can crack your back? I accidentally did that to my left hip last night while getting out of bed to go to the bathroom, and my RLP is even worse now. Sooo not fun. It usually goes away when I get up and start walking around, hopefully that'll still be true. I'm still having weird pregnancy dreams, last night there was something about wild monkeys coming and living in my apartment with DH and me. Thank goodness that won't be happening for real!
I hope that those of you who are sick or have pregnancy-related struggles feel better soon! Sounds like there are a lot of you today. If it makes you feel any better, my aunt told me that when you think you're at the height of misery, that's when baby will come. Probably an OWT, but maybe it'll be true for some of you and baby will come very soon! If it is true, I probably still have a ways to go - I don't feel great, but I'm not miserable yet!
Feeling so deflated today after MW appointment, was hoping and wishing for some news of progression but got nada! I'm only 38+1, not even over due yet but I'm such a strong mixture of uncomfortable & excited that I'm just wanting this whole shabang to kick off. Getting horrible pelvic pain making it hard to walk, get out of bed etc like PP I'm getting the cracks down there, sometimes hip, mostly pelvis and everything else, neck, back, legs, arms, ankles...feel like an old woman. Darn back ache stopping me from sleeping for longer than 15-20 mins at a time. Sorry for the ranty moans, not having a good one today but i am sending lots of thoughts and good vibes to all those mama's set to meet their LO's today! :-D And equally thinking of others feeling sick and tired like myself, not long now ladies!
Fun day for symptoms. Been losing my mucus plug since yestersay and I'm pretty sure it's gone as of 4 am. My lovely back pain is back and brought it's friend stomach cramps. That's how my last bad round of contractions started so I'm kind of hoping that's what this is and they stay. I've been saying all along that i'd have my munchkin by this weekend so we'll see. Being right is always nice.
On top of all this, my allergies are awful and make me sound like I smoked for 20 years. Nothing i've been told to take helps. Stupid trees.
Oh well, the bright side is DH brought me my favorite tacos last night and I have been promised some sort of bakery good with lots of icing after I have this little one. Icing is my favorite.
Having painful Braxton Hicks and back pain like crazy for the second night in a row. Went on for hours, just like @FloGirl82, and nothing helps. Irregular, some mild, some not, and my 36 week appt isn't until tomorrow. I feel like "that girl" for timing the contractions with an app and worrying.
Between waking up from contractions, waking up from the cat being sick/crying for food, waking up from the worst nauseating, painful heartburn of my life, sleep is like a myth at this point.
RLP, restless legs, headaches, joint stiffness in my hands, the insatiable appetite, dehydration, moodiness, and swelling in feet and face seem like cakewalk compared to the waking up in pain.
Anyone else feel like a total wuss from their symptoms? I'm worried I'm not "tough enough" for labor!
Went to the Dr yesterday thinking I had the flu. Turns out my kidney function is low. So I'm stuck in the hospital until my levels are higher. Everything is super dramatic when they find out your pregnant too. I have no veins so either I get a pic line or I get stuck 15 times a day. I'm trying to act like I can handle it alone but I want DH to come home he's making crazy money on this university job though. I just want time to pass so I can have a healthy baby and my body will go back to functioning.
I've slept for about 3 hours. I woke up at 2:30am to empty my bladder and came back to bed. I have been tossing and turning since then, it is now 5:37 and I'm still awake. @-) what is going on... ~X(
Woke up with a terrible headache again it seems this is the new thinng this week..:( slept like poo bc belly was just achy all night and since my hands started swelling my joints in my hands hurt really bad anyone else have this or get relief from anything!?
Kind of a gross question. Sorry in advance. But I know towards the end you start to have diarrhea... So my question is.. When you got it did it have a stomach ache that came along with it or did you just kind of go to the bathroom and ended up having diarrhea out of no where? I have a really bad stomach ache along with it and I wasn't sure if this was a bug I got or if it was just part of it. Once again sorry for the gross!!!!!!
Kind of gross...but we're all past the point of TMI by now I think... I seem to have developed hemorrhoids overnight. They are driving me crazy! Sometime in week 35 they just appeared. I really really hope they go away after I have the baby! Ick.

Ugh so frustrating and scary, @devyns2nd . So sorry you're going through this. When does DH come home?
Yes, I definitely have that concern about being tough enough. I just tell myself that the pain is not a sign that something is wrong so there's no need to panic about it. And, of course, there's always meds if that starts to feel like the way to make it through.
Only got 4 hours sleep...better than other day! Laying down cuz I am sooo sore down there. I feel it is much more swollen and it bothers me when I try to shift positions. Plus if I get up, I start feeling more BH and back pain. Ugh! But, I am gonna get toughen up and I am gonna MOW the yards at the farm to get it rolling and keep myself busy!!!! :-bd
Today's symptom: Jealousy regarding all of you due earlier in June than me. I need to start creeping on the July board to make myself feel better about the wait. Seriously, I wish i just knew when she was arriving so i'd know exactly how patient i need to be. 2 weeks patient or 6 weeks patient? WAH!
@thay33 a lot of us have reported diarrhea..... Mine is different everyday. Sometimes cramps come before and sometimes not. I figure it's not going to stop for the next 4 weeks for me. I hope it stops sooner for you!

I want to wash the windows to keep myself busy, but it HURTS!!

Well it was going to be tomorrow evening but he decided to come now. Thank goodness!
Hi! Lurker here. Question for you ladies. I sleep with a snoogle and do my best to stay on a side, alternating a few times a night, but somehow sometimes I seem to get caught in the middle and occasionally I'll wake up on my back. I correct it as soon as I notice it but I have no idea how long I was sleeping that way. What I'm wondering is how dangerous this is and if you ladies have any tips on making my sleep-self knock off this behavior.
Edit: I'm 35 weeks and FTM. I tried searching before posting but couldn't find anything for this late in the pregnancy. Sorry if this has already been brought up.

I slept on my back for the longest time... Probably til or beyond week 30. My doctor never said anything about it, and I've always assumed that if my body lets me comfortably do it, it's fine.
So I am not a medical professional, but my vote is what you are describing is firmly in the Not Dangerous category. But my $0.02 are worth less than that...
.. What is sleep again? Trying to get some freezer meals made to feel more "productive."
I broke down and bought the Walmart brand of toilet paper 24 pack because........ So much pee. Lol why buy the expensive stuff anymore?
I shower about 2 times a day to get rid of general aches and pain. The shower is my therapy!
@ktornabe I wake up on my back a lot. I can't help it. The baby puts pressure on your main artery and often it will make you feel dizzy being on your back. Hopefully our kids turn out normal right?! Lol
Hoping these babies exit your bodies promptly ladies!!! @teather5

We all need to have a not-slumbering party with Xanax, NyQuil, Ambien, massages, soothing sleep sounds, and the most boring lecture in the world so that we can all sleep. Insomnia sucks.
@ktornabe - I wake up on my back sometimes with the snoogle, sometimes a little woozy, but my body always wakes me up to let me know.
I find if I put the long part in the middle of the bed and the c on the outside, I struggle with it less to get out of bed at night.
@thay33 I had diarrhea all last weekend. I had a stomachache to go with it and generally just didn't feel very good. Thought it was just s stomach bug. Monday morning I was still having stomach aches and felt like I was going to have diarrhea but nothing would come out. I had been having tons of irregular contractions for at least a week but they would fizzle out whenever I timed them. I went to the doctor after running to the toilet five times Monday morning with diarrhea urges but nothing to come out. After lots of monitoring and a few cervical checks in L&D, I was admitted and had my baby a few hours later. Turns out those urges were all a part of labor!! By my fourth baby you'd think I would have known this but it was a new one for me! Hope this helps a little and I hope you feel better soon!

Ditto. But our C Sec date is set for June 22nd, so I just have a little over 4 weeks to go. Some days that seems sooo far away tho.

34+ here, and I'm still randomly waking up on my belly. I don't know how. So, yeah my OB says if it's hurting/causing issues, my body would most likely wake me up. She didn't seem to worried either.
I am so incredibly exhausted! I have to make it through my shift at work still and I have no idea how I'm going to do it. I don't even know how I'm going to make it working until I deliver. I wish there was a fast forward button. I know I'll still be tired once baby gets here but at least I'll have something cute to look at lol. And my feet feel like they're going to fall off. Happy almost Friday ladies!
I had painful contractions last night... Once I ate dinner, drank water, and relaxed they subsided and I was able to sleep... It's frustrating to get to the point of starting to time them only to have them disappear...
