I am insanely jealous of those due soon ! I have 4 weeks and 3 days..... It seems like an eternity.
    Good symptom. Jealousy.

Me too! I have 4 weeks until my due date, and have a feeling I'll probably be late!

Sooo frustrated. More painful contractions last night. After the third I started to time them, then they stopped not long after that. Of course. Grrrr. Still not dilated but am about 60% effaced. 37+3 weeks, I just want her here!!!
  • Not doing too bad today. Same old same old - tired, the usual aches and pains, heartburn at night...blah blah blah. At the drs office today while in the waiting room I was just trying to get a good breath and DH is all anxious - "are you OK? Anything wrong?" Nope, I'm just trying to get some air over here. Feeling pelvic pressure when I'm standing or walking around for extended periods of time, makes sense and we learned LO is head down today. So far no cramping or adverse effects from my cervical check so I'm happy with that.

@ktornabe I wake up on my back sometimes, too. I'm going with what PP have said, I trust my body. You could always stuff a smaller pillow right behind your back so should you begin to roll that way you'll end up half on your side and half on your back. I've started doing this just to relieve some pressure on my downside hip

    I wonder how @esampson1983 is doing?!? ?
  • @klkonwi your new pic totally threw me! Pregnancy brain has finally set in for me. It's bad. I need to cement my purse to my shoulder.
  • @ktornabe my doc said same: your body will wake you up before it's a problem for baby. If you are having trouble breathing or dizzy, those are signs to switch position.

Not really a symptom but didn't feel the need to make a new post. Wondering what is causing the sugar problems with the new babies? Is there something we aren't doing?

Carpal tunnel!! I've had this for a few weeks. Go buy a wrist guard from your local drug store... While it's not the sexiest look, it will help a ton!

I have officially reached the freaked out/anxious part of my pregnancy. The not knowing when or how labor will start is killing me. Will I stand up and my water break at work? Will I have contractions that start and stop at random? I realize it's completely out of my hands and baby will come when ready but just sitting here waiting and wondering is not good. I'm trying to keep myself distracted but it's at night when those thoughts start creeping back in. And don't even get me started on once the baby is here! I will be responsible for another living being. Not to mention I DROP THINGS! A LOT!! haha Clearly, I need to get it together.

Other symptoms include: Swollen ankles/calves and tingling hands/fingertips. Other than that I feel really lucky and I should quit my bitching.

I was just expressing my anxiety to my husband about all of this! I so feel you.

Super, incredibly grumpy to everyone: husband, daughter, students. Tomorrow is the last day of work (just get me to 2:45) and in less than 10 days daughter #2 will be here. I'm not an emotional person but tears have been flowing daily- ready to be done!

@ElRuby many of the babies are being born with sugar issues. Was wondering what is the cause of it.
  • Thanks to all who responded. Definitely helped ease my anxiety. Wishing you all safe and easy deliveries with healthy babies!

  • Didn't rest well last night thanks to hip/leg pain and heart burn. Also starting to feel like the only one who wants this kid to stay in till due date at least. I want to build up as much time off as possible and need DH to be done with class.
  • Anyone else sore on the top of their bump? Mine is so sore it's painful sometimes. I got an ultrasound Monday and when I asked the tech what she was looking at she said his stomach. So I'm only guessing it's his back or butt killing me :(

I know there is a risk for my LO to be born with blood sugar issues bc of my Gestational Diabetes

@shaq818 Blood sugars are monitored a lot more strictly than they ever used to be. The more premature the baby, gestational diabetes, large for gestational age ..... The more risk and it's more common. It's not June yet so I'm guessing a lot of it is prematurity issues. Even a baby in labor a long time or a baby that's temp is too low has risks of not being able to control blood sugars. Hope that helps.

@britneythebridexo I am hella sore on the top of my bump. A really hot shower. Like I said showers are my therapy.
  • Let's add general inability to tolerate humans to my list. Since my trip to l&d, I have received daily calls from every member of immediate family, some of which live together. My contractions still come and go so the hospital doesn't want me coming back unless they get too painful, my water breaks, or they stay regular. I haven't left the house because everything people do annoys me.

Oh in reference to the June babies? Sorry I was so confused by the question!

So does anyone know what causes the menstrual like cramping? I've had this cramping since 9am yesterday (5/20). The baby is moving. I drink plenty of fluids and have been laying on my left side thinking it would relieve the cramping...but it hasn't. It's mostly on my left side but it does radiate across the tummy. If anyome could give me ideas on what's going on...I'd appreciate it. Im 35 w and 1 day due June 24th.
  • This kid favors my right side...I think they are going to find claw marks on the inside of my uterus when they take him out in 11 days...while I no longer want to be pregnant, this kid better not come early...I have to much I still have to do before he comes, but oy am I ever uncomfortable...here is to a long weekend...one where I get to get a little pampering for my hair and toes :).

  • Feeling sorry for myself and this damn HUGE hemorrhoid. It's so freaking uncomfortable. Wish they would cut it off immediately after I deliver and save me having to have stitches twice down there. UGH! Also, I've had diarrhea the last two days all day. No painful stomach cramps with the diarrhea, just spending a lot of time in the bathroom....

  • @TishaSchreffler could you be feeling your version of braxton hicks? I went almost the whole pregnancy without 'feeling' any (I knew they were happening as early as 19 weeks, we saw one on ultrasound, I just did not feel them at all) - while other women were complaining about their frequency or discomfort from BH. It was only about a week or maybe two ago (at 34-35 weeks) that I began to realize I was having some. For me they are not uncomfortable (usually) but I know for other women they certainly have been. Like with all other things, the way we interpret how things feel is subjective. That's why I say 'your version' of BH. As it is I still don't feel them super often, so when I do take the time to notice them it can seem a little weird to me. Especially if I notice that I'm having quite a few of them

  • I have a huge horrible hemorrhoid too and I've had it for weeks and it's sucks sooo much. It's hard to even walk. I feel you. I want the baby to come already I hopes that will help with the hemorrhoid. Ugh

@mellymar I have been thinking they were braxton hicks but the crampy feeling has been constant. So maybe I'm just not focusing on when the discomfort lets up or just notice it when they are mild. These are definitely like light crampy feelings because I used to get severe cramps when I menstruated. So it's moreso a discomfort than full on pain because I can still sleep. I will definitely ask my Dr tomorrow though. I also read it could be cervix dilation but who really knows. I'll give an update after my appointment tomorrow afternoon. I have been feeling somewhat funky the last few days...not sure how to explain it. Just haven't felt like myself lately so I keep warning my husband that maybe she is wanting to come sooner than expected. Lol. But I am sure you are right about bh. I also never went into natural labor before. I was induced at 40 weeks with my son so I just feel like I'm feelimg different things.

I get BH and cramps that last a while, I asked my Dr and she said the cramps are just another version of BH, getting your body ready for labor, I've pretty much had every symptom you can get with this pregnancy lol
  • @TishaSchreffler could you be describing irritable uterus?

  • So I had my check up. My Dr said it.was in fact my feel for braxton hicks. She checked my cervix it was softened but still closed. Baby is still active and heartbeat has stayed between 140s and 150s the entire pregnancy. So I guess everything is okay for now. Lol

Annoyed/ nervous - at my husband, don't get an attitude with you're 9 moth pregnant wife.... should be common sense. - I have an ultrasound Tuesday because first lo was weighing too much due to my gd. And now not gaining enough weight due to extra fluid. They said the yay want to induce me if she's not growing. I'm not yet 37 weeks. Would be happy to see lo soon, but want her to be healthy too. :-S
