Who was the worst/most inappropriate person you dated? (if this is striking too personal of a nerve, feel free to ignore - your previous post made me curious)
When I was 16, my boyfriend was 21 and a total bum. We're friends now, and he's got his life together which is awesome. He was wasted at a party one night and DH beat the crap out of him...drama drama drama. We laugh because he now does MMA and was on a recent season of The Ultimate Fighter.
I'm in! I'm a newb and not all that interesting, but whatevs.
What's your favorite thing about DH?
Do you have a limit in mind as to how far you'd go with help TTC? Like would you do IVF, embryo transfer, etc or is there a point where you'd say nah or adopt instead? (I hope that isn't rude, feel free to ignore).

When did you join the bump and how did you find this community?
Pregnancy scare and google with my BF before DH. I lurked and came looking for answers to my questions before I created an account. Then knot lead to the bump and here we are!
Did you ever ask anything stupid? How did you react?
I asked about male or female RE preference a few weeks ago and know I pissed some people off. It happens. You just take it, learn and go forward.
I totally thought this post was about "Advanced maternal age". One track mind...
What are you studying?
I'm getting my Allied Health Services degree and will be an ultrasound tech. The goal is to work in Obstetrics.
That's so cool! If you have access to ultrasound machines, do you feel the urge to check out your own ovaries every now and then? (Sorry if that's weird, but it's AMA!)
I'd totally do it.
Do you think if you were carrying high order multiples, you would do selective reduction or continue with the pregnancy with no changes?
I would...anything higher than triplets. Ultimately I want my babies to have the best chance and I want to have the best chance myself. If reducing one or two would make everyone else safer I would in a heart beat.
I might get flamed for that and that's fine. I don't think any one fetus is more important than another, but why risk losing them all?

He will always make me laugh. And his love for his grandmother in particular is out of this world.
We would do one round of IVF but not if we need donor sperm or eggs. If that doesn't work, we will adopt. We personally feel like we could take that money and change the life of another child who needs it more than I need to have a biological child.

I think it's a personal choice, no flaming from me even though my opinion is different.

Ultimately, I would like to avoid that decision by being very very careful with treatments. Because I can say that all I want now but if it was happening I might feel completely different.
I wanted to go back to school to be an ultrasound tech for awhile! How is the schooling? Is it very demanding? Is there a lot of anatomy, science, and math courses? Are you doing it online or on campus? Sorry for the 21 questions!

I am doing it online now, and will take my certification on a local campus. So far it's been lots of math, psych, and English, and currently Public Speaking which made my life a living hell for the last 5 weeks. The science classes start in July are pretty continuous going forward. Since it's online and advanced I take one class at a time for 5 or 10 weeks, but they're back to back. It's a lot of reading and time-management but it's manageable. I might disappear once my labs start though.
I am 25. DH and I ditched the BC 3 years ago, we knew we wanted kids and felt like their was no point, so we went and got tested and that was that. Because of how long with no pregnancies the likelihood of us conceiving on our own is looking next to impossible and we should have gone to the RE already. We have officially been "trying" for 11 cycles now (current is 11) and I am not so patiently waiting for DH to get on board with the RE.
Not a question, just a comment...
I find you to be extremely mature, realistic and knowledgeable for your age. I say that only comparing how I was at 25 (not a general sweeping statement of those of you on here). You handle yourself very well.

Thank you! I appreciate that. I have only child (until I was 12) syndrome and definitely have my immature moments.
I had a rough few years young and learned to take care of myself. I credit that for getting my life together a little young. My "new" family (step dad's) and my mom are super, super educated and ethical conversations and such come up often.

I second that.
I agree as well! Although I'm only 26 so not much older.
Question:
Do you have a secret baby name you adore but know you would never use? (I.e. I would love to use Lindsey for a boy but could never.)

If you could undo something from past, what would it be?
When DH and I first starting dating, I had not cut things off completely with my ex (military). I drunkenly made some errors, just talking to him, and should not have. DH and I are past it, but it wasn't cool of me at all.

Do you think about ways to make announcements to dh and other family? When you get bfp?
We will definitely wait until first trimester is over. We will do something cute for immediate family, everyone else will get a call, and later on a FB announcement of some sort.
Edited: To apologize because I didn't read the directions. lol

On TB, when people use the report function like a dislike button. We're all adults, bannings should only be used for drastic cases of violations.
Off TB, people who are rude to salespeople or cashiers at stores/workers at restaurants. Be patient, wait in line, be courteous, and remember, people are not your slaves.

What are DH's reasons for not being on board with an RE and do you think he will change his mind soon? (If it's too personal, skip it!)
He has immune issues and a few traumas from when he was little...and he thinks he's infertile.
Forgive me if this is totally irrelevant and you're talking about a totally different kind of trauma...
My parents had conceiving difficulties due to my dad hitting himself really hard in track in high school going over a hurdle. After years and years, he finally got some sort of minor surgery to get it fixed (not sure what, I heard this secondhand through my sister, but I believe TCOYF covers some similar things). After 16 years of difficulties that did include one child, my parents immediately had my other sister and myself, and this was in his 40s.
Just throwing it out there. Hope your H gets on board/you get a BFP soon.

Thanks! He had surgery as a baby for a hemorrhoid and then got hit in football very hard. The hemorrhoid is a new discovery for me, I had no clue until recently when his mom mentioned it.
If given the opportunity, would you want to be a SAHM? As a working mom, I have many conflicts with SAHMs who make snide comments toward me (either bluntly or in a passive aggressive way) about working instead of being home.

Yes, in a heartbeat. But more than likely, DH will stay home.
