Pregnancy would you rather.......

Let's spice up the boards with some funnies......

Pregnancy would you rathers.... I think I'll post these. See what happens and if ppl like then I'll post some new ones everyday!

1) would you rather get stretch marks that look like a grizzly bear attack or varicose veins that look like google maps during traffic hour?

2) would you rather the on call OB be your ex boyfriend or the anesthesiologist that gives your epidural be your high school nemesis?

3) would you rather have uncontrollable nausea for 9 months or be on bedrest for all 9 months?

Remember you have to pick !

  • Interesting...

    1. Stretch marks- I can go without a bikini but I can't go without dresses and skirts in the summer heat/humidity
    2. OB be my ex- I didn't end things too terribly with most of my exes; and I don't trust my nemisis
    3. Uncontrollable nausea

    Ohhh, this is fun.

    1. Stretch marks for sure.
    2. This one is difficult.....I think I would say my ex be my OB. I don't think I'd trust my high school nemesis to be placing my epidural....
    3. Bed rest definitely- although I would totally go insane, I absolutely hate throwing up!

Varicose veins - at least you can get rid of them!

OB be my ex - I think that would be hilarious.

Best rest - uncontrollable nausea is the pits.

    Fun thread!

    1. Stretch marks for sure
    2. Ex boyfriend as OB
    3. Bed rest!

    1. Stretch marks
    2. Nemesis - I was on decent terms with pretty much everyone and those I wasn't as fond of never really knew how I felt.
    3. Bed rest!

    1) now that I have stretch marks i def say I would take the varicose veins
    2) ex boyfriend as my OB. Bitches from high school 'still be crazy' 10 years later even!
    3) being home is driving me crazy. At least when I had nausea I could still work through it........ ! :)
  • aj1327aj1327 member
    1) stretch marks-I need my dresses and shorts!

    2) ex boyfriend-the nurses do most of the work anyway. I'd trust him to catch my baby.

    3) this is the toughest! I hate both choices with passion. I guess nausea because not leaving my house or being able to go places might make me crazy!
  • Stretch marks

Can I pick the Ex? I'd probably pick the nemesis. I think she's grown up a lot and I almost feel for her and her crappy marriage.

Bed rest with no kids? Haha!

    1) vericose veins -easier to get rid of
    2) ex as OB -I stopped caring about what he thought a decade ago
    3) this one is tough but probably nausea since I can never sit still.

I agree, fun change of pace!
  • This is really fun. And you have a cruel mind, @klkonwi. A cruel, devious mind. :P

    1) Stretch marks. I rather like the idea of having something that looks like I've been attacked by a bear. Besides, they fade. I sport my scars with pride
    2) Hmmm. I'll take the HS nemesis. I was always the one picked on in school, so they would have no cause to cause me pain. No vendetta to get back at me for. I'd trust that by now they've outgrown their bully streak and treat a patient with professionalism. They may still act cray and be a bitch as a person, but I would count on professional pride in their field.
    3) Initially I was going to go with bedrest but then thought about how much my hips hurt when I lay down now. Screw that. I couldn't deal with that all day. Not all day, everyday. Uncontrollable nausea means that I I'd likely be puking a lot, and I wouldn't know when I'd puke, BUT I couldn't puke ALL the time, so I'd get some random time when I'm not puking. My tummy may be upset, but I could go thru a semblance of a life

  • 1. stretch marks, like PP said I could go without a bikini

    2. Ex- I'm not really on bad terms with any of them, plus they've already seen what's going on down there before

    3. I guess I'd have to pick the bed rest even though it would drive me nuts, I was so happy when the nausea went away!

    Fun thread!
  • 1) def stretch marks!!!!!! I have a ton on my stomach but luckily they have avoided my arms...
    2) ex for sure...
    3) nausea! As awful as it was... If I was on bed rest I would have another two years in nursing school rather than one!

Fun thread! :-) have a great day ladies!
  • This is hilarious hahaha awesome post @klkonwi !

    1) I'm going with stretch marks.. they're ugly but at least they're not really painful
    2) lol my first thought is Which ex? (not that there were many but they ran the gambit of sweet to cruel). I'll go with Ex because like a PP said, the nurses do more of the work any way. And while I don't have a real nemesis from high school, i dont trust any of those ladies not to accidentally paralyze me for life.
    3) I think i'm going with bed rest. Because netflix lol
  • Ok so my husband is the only guy I've been with and so that would make things a little awkward. Plus, just running into them at the store is the most awkward experience ever! Seriously...I'm so embrassing!
  • 1. Stretch marks, hands down. Varicose veins come with permanent issues, stretch marks are just unsightly.
    2. Ex as OB. It just seems less risky....
    3. Bed rest! It would drive me crazy but I have hyperemesis during my pregnancies and it's life-threatening when it can be controlled by medication, so signing up for uncontrollable vomiting is basically suicide. I can handle a little boredom if that's the alternative.
  • Stretch marks, because varicose veins freaking hurt sometimes.

I guess I would choose having an ex be my OB. I'm afraid my nemesis would accidentally miss and I would feel everything.

The last one is the hardest. I HATE NAUSEA!!! I think I might go cray cray not being able to leave the house with a two year old around. I guess I'd pick nausea if a gun was pointed at my head.

    Genius thread! Love it!
    1) Varicose veins!
    2) Ex as my OB!
    3) Nausea! I've been on modified bedrest for the past 5 weeks and I'm going nuts. I'd rather be out and about. (If I could tolerate it with nausea)
  • 1. Stretch Marks for sure! I already have them and can deal.
    2. Ex as OB. I think my nemesis would mess up on purpose and would love to see me suffer for the rest of my life. Plus, I would be proud to have once dated a doctor. Lol.
    3. Bed rest. Uncontrollable nausea would likely put me in bed all day anyway. So, I may as well be nausea free while I'm there.
  • Stretch marks.. For sure
    Epidural..
Bed rest (I've been sick entire pregnancy it's not fun)
  • Love this!

    1) Stretch marks only because I have seen my SIL struggle with varicose veins for months after having her second child. Hers were pretty painful apparently.
    2) OB be my Ex BF. Things with most of my ex BFs have all turned out ok. We can manage to be polite when/if I run into any of them. My HS nemesis though would probably still take the opportunity to screw with me, even in a serious situation, if she could. Yes, even 12 years later!
    3) I think i would have to pick nausea because I would hate to be confined for that long.

@Mommaswizz my exact first thought was which ex as well?!? I mean........ We all have that one loser..... Who would make it hell!
  • These are horrible!  Makes me appreciate my problems right now, lol.

    1. Stretch marks.

    2. Ex boyfriend.  Though that would be so. awkward. (My HS nemesis would probably be sure to paralyze me.  She wore a shirt to school one day that said, "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful."  And she stole a good friend's boyfriend.  I have never been someone to take that crap.)

    3. Nausea.  I can't imagine the back pain of bedrest that long.  Respect to the ladies dealing with any type of bed rest.

  • Love this!

    1) Stretch marks!  I don't know from experience, but from what I've been told varicose veins can hurt!

    2) Ex boyfriend OB.  Awkward as all else, but at least I could rub my happy little family in his face at the end of it!  Here's to hoping that I at least cleaned up a little down there though...

    3) Nausea.  Huge respect to everyone dealing with bedrest, I'm not sure I'd be able to do it.
  • Love this!!!

    1. Vericose veins - you can get rid of them.

    2. My high school nemesis. She is now my best friend in the whole world. :)

    3. Bed rest! Both options would be completely miserable. But, I cry and pee all over myself every time I throw up and I usually can't get out of bed when I'm nauseous any way.

I totally stole this from pinterest so I'm not taking credit for originality!

Hahahahaha I figure if it's one of the sweeter ones then at least he won't judge my giant laboring vag and if it's one of the cruel ones, I can only hope i definitely poop on him :-)
  • 1) Bear attack stretch marks... Cause all the stories I could tell "yeah, bear was like 13 feet tall"
    2) high school nemesis... Its already awkward with a stranger being my OB, I would die if it was someone I knew.
    3) bed rest... I hate feeling nausea more than anything.

    Fun thread @klkonwi!
  • 1. Stretch marks - because varicose veins can cause trouble
    2. High School nemesis as OB - we get along now and she is a nurse with a child so she gets it
    3. Bed rest - I can find ways to make that interesting, including getting a massage technician to do a home visit. Besides vomiting makes me really sad
  • klkonwiklkonwi member
Yeah. If I had to pick id pick the how long til labor starts.... The weight ones really get under my skin. I'm very sensitive about my weight and I believe it makes even the most confident women turn into jackasses when they talk about their weight. Esp to strangers!!!!!
