Anyone else miss the snark? I feel like I'm swimming in puppies and rainbows.

Did this all go away with the mass GBCB in December?

I went away with my bmb but lurk on this board. I always thought people were mean but when I see 5 posts on the first page alone of the same topic I now understand it all. I miss the snark.

My first BMB made me grow a thicker skin but it was nice to get honest blunt answers.

Or letting it be known that something was a little eye roll worthy.

This board isn't as bad as some of the others (yet).

ETA: I'm relatively new btw, just not a fan of rainbows and unicorns (I know your reference was puppies but I couldn't, love me some puppies!) either.

I think it will get there (I hope), just give it some time. Though last time I was around I was on the Oct 2011 board, so I suppose things have changed since then?

ETA: I will absolutely step up the snark if that's what's wanted. I thought I was supposed to be all P&R in the beginning so that newbies didn't get butthurt before getting acclimated or something. I have been laughing so hard I was crying over some of these posts/questions.

My first BMB was Dec '2010 and I remember it was all niceties and congratulations at first... but then we all got to know eachother a little better and, ofc, got more pregnant by the day and things def took a turn towards snark. Maybe just give us some time, whitneylux

I am still active on the a14 board but mostly everyone has left when it all hit the fan so no more snarky comments. As much I really enjoy the way it is now, it sure as hell was entertaining before!!!! I hope there is a good balance on here. Sorry but sometimes you need to be told your an idiot and overthinking things. We all do it!

PS DS was born in A14 but I wasn't really active on the board at all. I guess I lost interest pretty quickly. I checked it out again but it seemed pretty dull...

I miss the TTC board, the girls were great, but we have a nice handful of grads here. I'm a bit bummed out that there are so many repeat posts and so many new folks that nobody is calling them out. I don't have the heart just yet.

Thank you!!!!!! Some of the acronyms I can figure out but those had me stumped.

I'm completely new so I had no idea there used to be more snark. I do wish people would read previous threads before posting the same questions though. I'm not nearly as active as I would be if things were a little more condensed.

It is so very different here these days! In my July 13 BMB it seemed snarky from the start. I guess it was a little much but our 100+ member FB group that all met originally on TB (J13) is the tightest knit and most supportive group I've ever had online. I hope to find the same connections with this pregnancy but only time will tell.

Thank you!! So many eye rolls here over the repeat posts, and I've been wondering where all my snarky ladies at! I'm not usually the type to "gently encourage" (and by that, I mean sarcastically advise) people to SEARCH before they post, but I'm tempted. Can we just put out a blanket statement that there is such a thing as Google, and that we're not doctors?? If I see another, "is this normal" post, I may scream. You're pregnant! Yes, you will have cramping, sometimes you will spot, you will often be nauseous, you may throw up, you will be exhausted, and welcome to the wonderful world of bloat (ps..."blump" pictures?? Eeeek!).

December board (I lurked there because I was missing the snark) has a psa thread posted to the top telling people that they absolutely will get lit up if they don't use the search function and follow the basic rules. Not sure if it is working but worth a shot?

We had someone doing one daily... It cut down on nothing unfortunately, but we should try!
The D15 board has a use the search function post sticked at the top, but I think it caused a huge fight when it went up.

Yes. Usually I just ignore multiple posts but this was craziness. It makes it hard to give good advice when you answer 5 times. I feel like I just skip over them.
