What have you been calling your LO?

I've often wondered if anyone else does this but myself and a few friends: Do you have a nickname for your LO? Not a nickname for their official name...but a weird name that you've been calling the kiddo while you've been preggo.

We've been calling ours Blueberry since the beginning (I think I finally realized I was preggo when the app was saying LO was the size of a blueberry) and it's entirely possible that it will stick as a nickname :-) I'll pick up my stepkids from school after they've been with their mom for a few days and they'll ask "How's Blueberry today? How big is Blueberry now?"

I've also had friends name theirs Pumkin, Cletus the Fetus, and Bean.

Anyone else?

The first few week it was "parasite" because that sure was what it felt like lol but my mom yelled at me for calling her grandbaby a parasite! I gone between peanut, nugget, and even niblet!

We call ours Bean! Before we knew the gender, we would always say, "the bean is this" or "the bean is that". Now we can say that Bean is a boy!!!

I call my DF "mister", so our baby is little mister. He calls him Peanut. My parents call him Mogwai, like Gizmo from the Gremlins movies.

Our last name is May. Our nicknames are EMay and JMay so my best friend called the baby "Wee May" the moment I told her and it stuck! Works perfectly because we announced the sex, but keeping the name secret. Wee May makes that much easier!

His name is Noah so I say "my little NoNo" to my husband, but otherwise lately he sure has been named my little monster lol he's such a stubborn thing to all the U/S techs and never corporates, and has now turned me into a bottomless pit but never wants what I feed him lol I know I'm in for it once he gets here haha

I've been calling him Little Bean and recently fell in love with the name Liam (DH is not totally in board) but I've called him Liam Bean a few times.

I've been calling him "parasite" as well. I'm 24 weeks and tried all the time because I work 50+ hour weeks. It's more of a joke to keep saying that my little parasite is stealing all my energy.

My coworkers and I call LO "Big Bird." My coworker said we needed a nickname and that's the first thing that popped into my head (probably because I was obsessed with "Full House" growing up and that's what Michelle nicknamed Rebecca's baby). It's stuck, so Big Bird it is until baby is born!

Our LO started as the Crumb - DH's nickname for me is Biscuit, so DH called baby the Crumb because the baby was a little piece of me. Once we found out she was a girl he changed it to Crumbelina and we all refer to her as the Crumbelina even though we've already picked her name. Pretty sure Crumbelina will be her nickname for a very long time!

It's a long story.... Well not really. Here we go.
So I really wanted to call my girl Arya (way before the GoT TV show came out I liked that name)
My husband's Rs are very strong and he especially emphasis the R in that name because he wanted the girl's name to be Alia. So he would come home from work and ask,
"How is Arrrrya?"
Then it was
"How is Arrrrr-ya?"
He drop the ya eventually.
"How is Arrrrr?"
Till one day he finally asked.
"How is our little pirate?"
And it's stuck.

When my husband and I are planning baby logistics, I might say "this kid" bc it emphasizes our playfulness, in a way I'm not sure makes sense now 8-}

I love that I'm not the only one who called my baby "parasite" hahaha. I would joke about him being my loving uterine parasite. At first we called him Embryo and then switched to Baby B (for our last name). That one has pretty much stuck for us.

I started calling it parasite, but switched to gummy bear at the first ultrasound. It had little arm stumps and a huge head. it looked like a gummy bear and the name stuck. We aren't finding the gender, so it'll stay gummy bear until he/she arrives.

We call him "the ________" we fill in the blank with whatever fruit he's the size of the week. This week he's already being referred to as "the cantaloupe" lol. Or we call him by his name, or we call him little man. It varies lol. :x
