Correct gender result at 12 weeks

Had an ultrasound at 12w 5d our tech said it was an 80% chance its a boy. I feel it was to early I still feel its a girl. Could she be wrong? I was reading online that they have to look at how it's pointing because girls still may have something similar to a boy part. I don't find out til the 26 but I wish I could know now. :)

    I guess we'll find out! I had one at 13w1d and was told 80% sure of a girl. We also find out on the 26th. She made a comment about how it was sticking out but I don't remember her exact words.

    I think that there's always a chance they could be wrong at that point. Basically you were told 80% boy and 20% girl.

    It's probably a boy. I don't think I would start shopping based on that but I would prepare myself for the possibility of boy because it seems like you are really hoping for a girl.

    My sister was told at 12 weeks her baby was a boy.. 70% sure... and... at the 20 wk scan.. it was confirmed... few months later baby was born... it was a boy! 80% chance is really hight I think. At my 12 week my Dr said 50% chance it was a girl lol.

    My sister was told three times by three different doc that her baby was a girl. Well when the baby was born it was a boy!! So be careful. If its not a super clear pic even at 40 weeks, then just be ready for whatever. Her friend had the same thing Happen as well. Was told a baby girl and had a boy. Costly mistake. And made th. Baby shower a waste.

    At 11 weeks and up now they have the have a jack n jill test. Which they take your blood and check your DNA. Result was claimed to be correct up to 98%

    Same thing happened to me! Except the tech said she was 90% sure the baby is a boy. I thought that was extremely high, as I was just shy of 12 weeks. My aunt is a perinatal nurse in another state and told me it is way too early to tell just by ultrasound and to take it with a grain of salt and wait for the anatomy scan.....which isnt until June 4th.
