Well she just wants me to do one week off of work and then get reevaluated next Tuesday at yet another ultrasound. To all those girls complaining they don't get enough ultrasounds you should consider yourself and your baby lucky. My husband asked if there's a buy 5 get 1 free lol He's always trying to keep it lifht
Exhausted and stressed early last year I agreed to volunteer and help with my daughters yearbook. Boy am I regretting it! I am going on a volunteer strike next year.
Yeah, I'm now getting weekly biophysical profiles, which means ultrasounds. Which is cool, but my poor HSA. I get two bills for each u/s. One from the perinatal clinic, which is for the tech who runs the u/s, and one from the hospital for the actual u/s machine. It's roughly $200 a pop. My HSA is the only way we've been able to afford all this. I checked Anthem's website this morning and I've already hit my deductible for the year. I'm interested to see if/how that changes what I pay, especially for the delivery.
Breech baby --> breathing is not easy especially if I am talking. But only 24 more hours - an OR slot opened up for tomorrow at 3pm. My OB wanted to do it tomorrow originally so LO will be born on 5/6 at 36 weeks.
breathing is hard for me too. im so out of breath all the time. it sucks
klkonwi i'm pretty sure no BH here either. I've questioned it once or twice but the sensations only last a like 4-5 seconds so i'm assuming it's just this kid rolling around .
Ugh. Let's see: hip pain, BH all the damn time, heartburn, stuffy nose and I am exhausted. But at least I can blame my exhaustion on DH. (See SO rants/raves thread)

I feel ya! I have same insurance as you...but your much cheaper than mine! My is a little over $500 EACH! ahh
Holy crap they gave me Cheratussin for my cough. Basically guaifenesin with codeine. I'm pretty sure I remember @klkonwi having codeine in her headache meds so that makes me feel better about it, but damn... Codeine. Hitting the hard stuff, now
ETA and they tell me to take 5ml but the pharmacy doesn't give me anything to dose it with. Good thing I'm pretty sure I have some sterile syringes around for cat med dosing, etc
We have a Mexican restaurant here called Tequilas that makes the BEST margaritas. They don't use any sweet and sour mix, just a blend of various liquors and lime juice. It's freaking heaven and you get tipsy rather easy. I'll take two please.
As for symptoms, swollen feet, which means down to three pairs of shoes, two of which are sandals. Numbness and tingling in my hands on occasion, BH, and irritability.
I had a lot of dark brown discharge this morning so my ob had me come into my office. They did an ultrasound and exam and all is well. He confirmed that it was my bloody show and that I could go into labor early. He said it could happen in a couple hours- days- or weeks, every woman and body is different. I'm a second time mom- never had a bloody show with my first. I'm 34w5d. Anyone have a bloody show? How long afterwards did you go into labor? I've certainly ramped up my nesting today!
In an odd turn of events, I'm sleeping more soundly and peeing less at night...not that I'm complaining. Mid-afternoon fatigue is ridiculous, but working from home makes it easy for a post-lunch catnap.
I seem to be the only one on here that feels like I pee my pants all day! Constant leaking....this is so gross! When/if my water actually breaks, I'm scared of what it's going to be like! My poor students will be scarred for life if it happens at work!
I'm sooooo tired all the time. Mostly I can't sleep because I'm pretty sure this girl is trying to bust outta the womb through my belly button. Or rather the discolored, flat, thin skinned area that use to be my belly button. Sadness. Annnnnnnddddd I want a margarita. Or a Corona. Or a sol. Something. Just...Ugh.
Ugh. My dog just decided to jump on my belly while I was laying on the couch. I'm watching for bleeding, but I read I should be fine. Just paranoid now.
In the spirit of my insatiable appetite and Cinco De Mayo, I made up for the margarita with almost a full bag of those thin Tostitos Cantina chips + 1/2 bag of almond m&m's...pretty much eating the house like someone has starved this babe and me for years.
@bobjo31 Sol is my absolute favorite on Cinco de Mayo, definitely craving an ice cold one.
I have been doing really well up until this past week, I work on my feet all day and haven't had any problems, but Friday I ended up leaving working early because I had an episode where I got really hot and sweaty and thought I was going to pass out. Called my midwife and she said it was pretty normal, especially if I locked my knees and wasn't paying attention to my body mechanics. Then Saturday I slipped on a cord at work and "sprang my vagina," at least that's what it feels like. So painful! And the I had another hot and sweaty episode today and had to take a break before getting back to work. It's been a long few days and I have a feeling it's just gonna keep getting tougher and tougher to stay on my feet all day. Boo.
My feet are SO swollen. I tried to wear a pair of flats today and my feet were pissed.
I feel like I live in a constant state of having to pee. Like, there's never a time that I don't have to. It's how bad I have to go is how I decide when I make my move.
Also been having some contractions. I must make a really weird face when it's happening because my fiancé is always like "are you okay?!!". Luckily it only lasts a few minutes.
