I had a TV dinner for lunch today. Mac and cheese. This is pretty much what I eat every day. (A TV dinner, not necessarily the mac and cheese lol). Either that or leftovers. Going to pick up lunch gets expensive.
Dinner ... hmm ... I am not really craving anything in particular but earlier I was thinking about Taco Bueno tacos, so maybe a plate of those!
Yay! I think this is the first time in a looong time I can open a food thread and not feel nauseous!
Lunch today was a really boring frozen burrito that I would have drowned in Franks if I had any... blah. Dinner is kind of materializing tonight thanks to DH working from home and the crock pot lol! Pork roast and potatoes then we'll throw together a salad.
But I'm craving a giant sub sandwich, you know the 6-foot long variety that has like everything under the sun on it? Yup, not gonna mention it to DH since he cooked for me tonight lol!
Lunch: Culver's crispy chicken sandwich and fries w/ cheese sauce. It was delicious, but I couldn't finish it.
Fantasy Dinner: Chinese buffet...my usual plate is: lo mein noodles, General Tso's chicken, chicken and mushrooms (tiny bits of chicken with whole baby button type shrooms in this super salty savory sauce) and beef and onions (that I only eat the onions out of). lol
What did you eat for lunch today? An avocado sandwich with extra veggies and hot peppers from Which-Wich. I love spicy food but I think I'm losing my tolerance because I had to pick a lot of them out!
If you could have something materialize in front of you for dinner, it would be__________________(in other words, what are you craving?)
Like @hfooter said, I'd make Indian food materialize in front of me. Also with a big, crisp green salad with sunflower seeds and ranch dressing.
@hfooter I love Indian food so much. I need it soon.
I had veggie fried rice for lunch and then a snickers bar. DH has a work event tonight so I'm having mac n cheese followed by a pint of mango sorbet.

@mrsbubbles-2 the only time I crave subs is when I’m pregnant. It’s the weirdest thing.
Indian food is the best and so right about the naan @vinerie ! The place we get it from gives huge portions so I’ll def have left overs for lunch tomorrow which I am excited about.
Most of the time I’m craving something Asian, Indian or Mexican.
Okay, so I think I've had Indian food one time and I don't remember a single bite. What would be something good to order for an Indian food almost-virgin?
I had Panera for lunch today - chicken salad sandwich, cookie, chips, pickle...the whole nine yards. But I was at a professional development thing, so it was a special treat. I rarely get to go to that kind of stuff. I normally eat like lean cuisines for lunch.
For dinner...I'm jumping on the Chinese train with @neeraja_k. I've been dying for some lo mein, fried rice, egg rolls, kung pao chicken, szechuan beef...but so far, DH won't humor me.
@mrsbubbles-2 chicken tikka masala is a typical newbie dish. I love it. We also get some kind of sagwala (a delicious savory spinach dish with meat in it). We usually do goat. Korma is good too.
@mrsbubbles-2 & @hfooter One of my favorite deli sandwiches is a roast beef and swiss on a roll with mayo and black pepper. Maybe I'm obsessed with it now because I can't have it. (I have no desire to eat it toasted/hot.)
I want almost anything with tomato sauce... pizza, eggplant parm hero, spaghetti. Also chicken quesadillas. Also Taco Bell grilled stuffed burrito.
The cafeteria at work sucks. The pizza is tolerable, only because almost everything else is gross. Although I had a chicken tender sandwich yesterday that was pretty good after I doused it in hot sauce.
Tonight? Nothing sounds good. I might manage a grilled cheese sandwich. I feel like DD ends up eating too much unhealthy food because of my cravings and aversions.

I had a Mish mash lunch. Chicken salad that I wish I made more of cuz it was so damn good. Salad with Italian dressing. Some left over mashed potatoes.
I'm having short ribs tonight, but I could really go for some gnocchi or an Italian sub from a local Italian delicatenscent. Too bad thats probably not happening for another 6 months
@vinerie I had to take some of the peppers off of my sub today too! I already posted about it but lunch was a veggie sub from Jimmy Johns. I also got chips and put half the bag of chips on my sub, which was awesome.
I have nothing here I want for dinner and my sister in law is picking DS up for dinner so I’m now hoping DH will pick up Chinese food, thanks to this thread!
@mrsbubbles-2 def Tiki masala. If there’s a place near you that does a good buffet lunch that’s a good time to go and try out the different options. There’s another dish I like but I’m having a hard time remembering lol.
@juliebird6 I had Panera for lunch too! Picked it up on my way back from the doc appointment. I had a chicken avocado sandwich and some broccoli cheese soup. YUMS.
IDK what I want for dinner - I'm about to have some soup as a snack. H is getting home late and we are going out to celebrate good NIPT results
@Firemanswife11 Oh man - I miss Bueno so much. One of the few good things about Dallas! We don't have them down here in H-town. I lived off their bean burritos and Mexi-Dips n Chips when I was college.
@hezzer78 I missed Taco Bueno so much when I lived in Beaumont. I think it started in Oklahoma. But you have HEB, so we’re even.
I had buffalo chicken salad for lunch and Chinese pepper steak over rice for dinner.
I have actually been craving Indian food for awhile before I even came in here and saw you all talking about it. Sadly, my DH doesn’t like Indian food, so I rarely get it. Also, my favorite place is a buffet, so I’m in no hurry to bring my toddler there. I need a day for myself to eat Indian food.
Tortillas chips covered in refried beans and melted cheddar cheese topped generously with Frank's red hot

Give me all the soft cheeses. Particularly Humboldt Fog or a wheel of Brie. Basically everything I can't have.
ALSO, I need girl scout cookies after reading all the chatter about them and guess what? MI girl scout cookie season is over. So I'm SOL on my cravings this week.
I had chicken tikka for dinner before reading this, yum so good! My H doesn’t like Indian either but is dealing with it like twice a month since I’ve been pregnant.
I had Wendy’s for lunch today, I was super stressed and decided I deserved all the salt.

I don't feel like going to the grocery before this "ice event" happens tonight, so looking in the freezer the only thing I could come up with what I had in there was, chicken pot pie. Fried chicken sandwiches, awesome. Cooking raw chicken, *barf*. The smell is about to make me go stand outside. ><
Going to dinner at a little Italian restaurant owned by a mom in a moms group I’m in. I’m so excited! It’s like real Italian, not that Olive Garden stuff (which can be good in its own right hahahahaha) but I’m craving something authentic and fresh!
I thought I was strong enough to open this but it kind of made me sick even though I like most of the foods. I think this is the longest I’ve ever been sick so far and the most intense. The only real “craving” I’ve had is fruit, grapes, apples, bananas. The only real food that feels good in my stomach is bacon egg and cheeses... so healthy, I know. Hopefully greens are in my near future.

I've been avoiding this thread in general because I'm never sure what's going to to sound awful, and I've been having trouble with even though thought of eating meat. I'm a vegetarian, so I never eat it, but I don't usually care at all what other people eat. But for the last few weeks, I've wanted to gag at the mention of ham.
Anyway, I clicked on the thread accidentally and got curious. I've been seriously craving Indian food, too! We finally went on Thursday night and we got Saag Paneer as always. It was sooooo good, I decided to order a second one to take with us, so I got to have it for lunch yesterday and today. I'm seriously sad that it's all gone. DS loves it, too, which is normal awesome, except today it meant he ate some of my leftovers. Not cool, kid.
(Side note: My phone thought I might mean Indiana Jones instead of Indian food? I do like Harrison Ford, but I'm not sure I'd call it a craving...)
Also, all I wanted in my last pregnancy was sub sandwiches. They still sound good, but not amazing.
I'm heading out to brunch, and normally I'm a savory brunch person but today I'm getting mixed berry waffles (this baby loves strawberries), creme brûlée, and the diet Coke I've been waiting for for weeks.

I used left over mashed potatoes and asparagus to make potato pancakes and topped it with a friend egg. It was perfect. Except the egg was cooked through
@jsnakehole OMG, another strawberry freak! Normally, I hate strawberries unless they're local picked ones, as the store ones always seem hard and rather insipid flavoured. But now? Gimme ALL the strawberries. I seriously pouted this morning as I opened the fridge and there weren't any for my breakfast.
So I was bad and had a homemade sourdough waffle slathered in Amish butter and drizzled with maple syrup, two sausage patties, and a tangerine.
Idk why but I woke with an insane craving for French toast. I never order that, I’m usually a savoury gal! But French toast I wanted and French toast I got and boy, it was fantastic.

ETA: Basically it’s better quality Taco Bell. I love Taco Bell, but Taco Bueno is a bump up in quality, while still being inexpensive.
And now I want Taco Bueno....
