Weekly GD check in 4/14

Re: Weekly GD check in 4/14

  • @kcl283 I feel this exact way. My dr even told me it was odd how low my numbers were after eating pretty much anything. I thought it was a fluke, but she said by technical terms I have GD, but very well controlled. Not sure what that's suppose to mean bc I am still eating carbs and sweets and have numbers well below what she recommends. I also agree on the fluctuating numbers, my numbers differ on my two monitors by as much as 25 points sometimes. I'm new to this and don't really understand it all, but am thankful my numbers are low and praying they stay low as D-day approaches.

  • I failed my 1 hr test Tuesday, they rechecked it after passing it 8 weeks ago, due to extra afl. I go in next week at 36 to do my 3 hr test. Kind of just wondering if anyone has been diagnosed this late in their pregnancy?

That seems a little late to me. I mean I would think that they would just do a NST and ultrasound to determine baby's size. I would think that most of the weight gain would have already happened at 36 weeks???
  • I have had 3 u/s this month but this was the highest the fluid level has been. So one cause of higher amniotic fluid is gd, although it was fine last week. Baby is weighing within a normal range of what it should for 35. Just thought it was rare to be diagnosed this late in my pregnancy.
