Daily Symptons 4/22 - Happy Earth Day!

I didn't see one started yet for today..So here you ladies go!

I woke up in SO much pain this morning. Particularly low back pain. I have a 50 minute drive to work, and sit at a desk for 8 hours with a small break + lunch every 2+ hours. I don't know how I'm going to handle it. My desk chair isn't custom to my body & the idiots at my office take my chair and adjust it all the time. Drives me CRAZY!

I've also found the only way I can sleep or sleep somewhat comfortably is on my back with my torso propped a bit with either one of my sides propped.

Ultimately, I'm starting to get VERY uncomfortable at 33w, 6d.

  • @FireFghtrWife518 thanks for getting us started!I hope your back pain subsides a bit!

As for me, so far just heartburn. I've been really stubborn about going to get medicine - basically I'm too lazy to make the 2 minute trip to CVS haha. But I think today on my way back from my internship I'm going to make the stop, I'm seriously sick of this. I know we've been over this a million times, but what was it that you ladies recommended again? I feel like it began with a P? If no one else remembers I'll just get Maalox because that's what my mom recommended from her pregnancies but her last one was 15 years ago haha

I just switched from Zantac 75 to Zantac 150 and my heartburn is much better!

Prilosec and tums were the other recommendations from my doc.
  • For heartburn I use Zantac and tums several times a day.

Yesterday I started seeing spots for a few seconds, like shooting stars. And it happened again today! Dr apt this afternoon.

    Totally freaks me out!

Prilosec, that was it! Thank you! I'll also take a peek at the Zantec 150 and see which is cheaper haha. Thanks again! :)

I have a desk job (accounting) and back pain is killing me. I try to get up and stretch or walk every 2 hours. But also, our chairs suck and so I got one of those back pillows specifically that curve against a chair - I would recommend looking into one! It's not a perfect solution but provides additional support!
  • I'm a Zantac girl here myself. Although I admit I feel like it's not working as well, so maybe when this bottle is done I'll pick up Prilosec and see what happens. I believe the Zantac was cheaper at my local Target, which was part of the immediate appeal.

I'm feeling alright, but really nervous about my appointment this afternoon. My bp has been creeping up slowly all week and it wasn't great this morning, so I'm afraid of what it will be by this afternoon when I actually see my OB. I feel a little off today, but I can't tell what's potentially bp related and what's sinuses. Like I mentioned on another thread the other day, the oak pollen has started falling here, and it's always one of my harder allergy seasons.

  • Overall I've been feeling irritable and sleepy. My DS has chosen this week to start acting like a 3 yr old even though his birthday isn't for a few months. He's testing me for sure, which then leads to more anxiety about having a newborn and a 3 yo. Maybe his behavior is just a fluke because I've spent so much time nesting and cleaning lately. Fingers crossed.

Three was so hard! At 4, it's like they wake up one day a completely different kid. I still have a son who is a "tester" and completely strong willed (aka stubborn). When he gets something on his mind, there is changing it.
  • @finchfeeder80 try to relax when at the drs office - no white coat syndrome! (Harder to actually do than type, I know, but still)

@karaelaine1991 when I begin to have acid reflux (I don't get that heavy in chest feeling of heartburn, I more just get really burpy) I use the zantac 150 after recommends from the other ladies here. It works way better than the pepcid I was trying to use.

I'm totally bushed and feeling it after my busy day of cleaning yesterday. I am paying for my burst of energy in the form of back pain, fatigue, and general just crumminess. I woke up really early this morning and then managed to fall back asleep again, and woke up again about an hour and half ago... I'm ready for a nap already :-q

  • @frankengibbs - yes. @JessHeppell is right. Eat ALL the things.

  • I actually have some hip pain as well. Sciatica? I didn't get this with DS, so I'm not sure. I made a chiro appt for tomorrow night, but I'm hoping my OB is ok with me going, as I called the nurses line before hand to check.

Stretching isn't helping, and it hurts to walk. Not only am I waddling a little, I've got a gimp now too. Cool.

  • Sensitive nipples, anyone? Even the slightest graze... Eek!
  • Absolute emotional train wreck today... Someone slap me out of it! I can't seem to keep it together for more than 5 minutes at a time...

  • I'm exhausted today and have the same old swollen feet. 34 weeks tomorrow so I'm just trying to hang in there.

  • I've been exhausted all week and finally had a night of GREAT sleep! :) I did feel LO move in a strange new place early this morning though; right above my left hip. It was the strangest feeling as he has been favoring my ribs the last few weeks! Other than the sleep issues, I have had terrible back pain with round ligament pain so I have been taking things slow as I get up and down. Thank goodness I have only 7 weeks to go! :)
  • Miraculously i got a good night's sleep last night after a really hard day. One of the dogs I grew up with passed away yesterday so i was a legit mess from 5pm on. Nonstop crying actually seemed to make all the pregnancy symptoms go away (go figure). Today i'm just emotionally spent. Still trying to hold it together at work and had to force myself to stay off facebook on the commute in because all the pictures of my furry friend were making me cry my makeup off before 9am.. Grief is one hell of a distraction from pregnancy symptoms.

So for my Killian's sake, hug your fur babies close today and tell them how much you love their faces.

Im sorry for your loss... I understand what you mean with the preggo symptoms not even mattering..i lost my dog in february unexpectedly to lung cancer and he was only 5 my heart still hurts everyday! Its one of the worst things to go through but to lose someone when pregnant is just so much worse! I am sending you positive energy!

Today once again i am just so fatigued...a legit walking zombie!! I had a stupid low blood sugar attack this morning so that doesnt help the tiredness and LO is killing my hips !!! Its crazy how low she feels and how much it hurts the hips!! I never had any rib pain so i guess she stayed generally low so far! Hope you ladies have a great day!
  • I have old lady hip again today. Most my body feels like it's 30, and in some discomfort. My right hip feels like it's 90.

My pain is in my right hip too and I think that's the best description I've heard, it definitely feels 90!

I'm so sorry about your sweet puppy, I hope you have an easy day! With all the pregnancy hormones added to it, I would be a mess so take it easy.

I really appreciate the condolences. It always helps to hear from other people who have experienced this kind of loss. Losing a pet is so much more than just an animal dying. It's losing a family member
  • I ended up calling my ob and they wanted to see me because of the back pain I was having.

She said he's head down and thinks that's what the pain is from..and that he's not being very gentle getting into position. But, I now have a doctors note for work to "allow me to get up and walk for 10 minutes every hour." And "if this doesn't work, then I just won't be at work"
  • @Mommaswizz I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your furry sibling. I know the pain all too well. We lost our pit bull last June and we still are sad about his passing. I still cry about it at times. The pain is real and deep because they leave paw prints on our heart. Such sweet creatures. Sending you hugs today.

I will take all the hugs i can get!  I've read the rainbow bridge poem more times than i can count in the last 24 hours. I really appreciate the support!
  • My pubic bone feels like it's being ripped apart (which it probably is) and the skin just above my belly button is sooo sore and tender to the touch! Feels like it might burst right open when I sneeze or cough (which is a lot, thanks to allergies!). Pretty uncomfortable today.

  • @Mommaswizz I'm so sorry that you lost your fur baby.  Thinking about losing mine makes me want to leave work right now and go home and hug him!  Sending hugs your way
  • @knwilliams01 yeah I found a varicose vein under my right thigh..... It just keeps growing. It's sorta heartbreaking!
  • @Mommaswizz I'm so sorry for your loss!

I'm starting to get really fatigued and tired around 3-4 pm every day. My back also has begun hurting constantly. Sleep has been alright for the most part-besides waking up 4-6 times in the night to pee, thankfully I go back to sleep right away-but I am just starting to sputter out energy-wise this time of the day. It sucks, especially since I'm still working full time. I don't have any ambition to do anything when I get home from work, I force myself to do things when all I want to do is relax.

Other than that, I feel huge!! I was actually looking back through my weekly bump pics I have and was laughing at myself-how I ever though I was 'big' at 26-27 weeks is hilarious compared to how big I am now! I've even grown somewhat of an ass-I've never had one until now, haha.
