    Major anger here.
We have a friend of my husband renting out our basement. We don't need the money, but he needed a hand.
I can't wait for him to leave! He drinks a ton (like 4 30packs a week) and never cleans up!!! He tried to talk to me while taking an online final- MBA student here- and I almost lost it! He needs to GTFO and hasn't decided when he wants to leave. Originally he said May, but for now I have no nursery BC his room will be our new spare room and the current spare will be for baby. Its infuriating!

  • I have two mini schnauzers that I've had since I was in highschool. My husband adores them so when we got married, naturally they moved into our tiny 800sqft house with us. Now that I'm pregnant they seem to just annoy the heck out of me! I can't stand them! And it doesn't help that they've taken up some awful habits like running away for hours at a time and having accidents inside. I am so angry, I just want them GONE!
  • I am craving a beer so bad... i may just get one next time we go out... before I start showing .... so no one can judge me.
  • I ate an entire container of slim jims the other day. They were the small ones, but still!!! I don't even know if they are "pregnancy safe" but all those darn rules drive me nuts anyway...
  • I have become a non-veggie vegetarian.
The sight of meat makes me gag and all I want to eat is bread and cheese.

Last night we ordered a pizza and cheese sticks and all I ate was the entire 10-inch cheesesticks. Even though my hubby let me pick all the pizza toppings.

I hadn't gained any weight 1st trimester (good since I'm already overweight), but I think I gained 3 pounds in the last 1-2 weeks.

I need to rein it in with the carbs and start eating those veggies!
  • Lastly: I have been being too mean to my husband. It seems like every night I'm bitching at him for no good reason. Last night he had one leg crossed under the other and I yelled at him because I said his feet were too close to me (I have never had a foot aversion before).

    *faceplam*

    I feel like a monster.

Right now he is sleeping in our king size bed and it's annoying me. All he is doing is sleeping. But I still feel like he's too close to me.

Maybe I'm just starting to be uncomfortable since my belly is finally getting bigger, but I feel like I need 3 feet of space at all times.
  • @TexasBride90, strange coincidence, my BFF is pregnant with their second child right now and they've had her mini schnauzer since they got married. For whatever reason, this pregnancy tipped her over the edge (or maybe the dog changed habits too much?), and they ended up putting him up for adoption. From what I experienced, he did start getting a little more high strong over the last two years. His anxiety with visitors and storms was enough for him to need a thunder vest, and he almost couldn't handle large gatherings at their house. I think she was nervous he'd have a hard time with a second child in the house. He went to a lovely family who is going to show him all sorts of attention, but I found it interesting that your dogs were the same type, too. Hers was driving her up the wall! I hope yours calm down a bit :)

  • I am having a really hard time being an awesome mommy in the evenings! I wake up at 4 each weekday and head to the gym, teach an overload, and then pick up DD from DC before dinner. By the time we make it through dinner, I feel like I need a nap...or just to go to bed! I know that once summer rolls around I'll be better because I'll get more sleep and be on a normal schedule, but it makes me feel like a terrible mom when I really just want to sit on the floor and read to her instead of run around the house.

  • @sommom1, I can't speak to the nutritional quality of the Slim Jims, but I can totally relate! When I was pregnant with DD, I think there were a couple mornings (yes, early) where I'd grab a big piece of beef jerky and a banana for breakfast (gross!). I think it's the saltiness that I craved!

  • My almost-two-year old has been getting way more screen time than is truly healthy (and he even learned the words "watch" and "show" this week!). But first thing in the morning, I barely have the energy to get from the bed to the couch, let alone to play!

  • Same here @MamaOwl15. DD and I cuddled in my bed for almost an hour watching cartoons because I was just too tired to get up and start moving. I have big hopes for more energy kicking in soon!

  • My fiancé went to run a race today and I could tell he really wanted me to go because most of his races fall on a Sunday and I work every Sunday but I didn't want to get up at 5am. He sent me a bunch of pictures of the race and that I was missing out. I feel really bad and guilty for not being there to cheer him on but waking up every 2 hours to pee I just wanted a day to sleep in. I work 6 days a week and tomorrow have to get up at 4:30am for work. I was not a morning person pre-pregnancy and now it's worse.

I really want a margarita or at least a sip of one. I've contemplated going out alone and ordering one just to have a sip or two. I'd never do it but the thought had crossed my mind.

I forget to eat dinner most days if I'm alone. Maybe not so much as forget as I just don't feel like cooking and doing dishes so I'd rather go hungry.

I was really excited when I went for my 14 week appointment and was the exact same weight that I was at my 10 week appointment.
  • My 3 year old has a super high energy level, and is constantly on the go, running around and playing ! Sometimes it's so hard to keep up, and I lay in my bed and send him to play in his room !!

I am in the same boat! TV has been a huge help. It's ok and it's temporary!

  • I'm supposed to be at work at 8 am every day, but sometimes pretend to have meetings in the mornings and don't stroll in until 9:30. I work until 6 or later every day and even non-paid overtime so that's how I justify it :)
  • I don't take prenatal vitamins because they make me sick. I just got over morning sickness last week and am afraid if I start now I will get sick again.

I've been taking a gummy kind thatmake it easier but i still forget them. Honestly, even taken sporadically they help.

  • I'm just glad that cigarettes repulse me when I'm pregnant. I was a smoker and from the math seems like i quit as soon as my body started making the pregnancy stick. It's tough to kick. No judgements but i hope whoever smokes is looking for help top quit. It's just so so bad for baby and for all humans. My man is vaping so neither of us start back.
  • I have 2 baskets full of clean laundry, clean folded laundry on the couch, laundry in the dryer and dirty dishes by the sink. Zero motivation to do anything about it and also is a good excuse to not let anyone come over this past week.

My husband has been so amazing since me catching whatever the heck I'm sick with, that I think I'll make it my weekend goal to put away/clean all of this.

  • I quit smoking this pregnancy too ! But I had a friend who smoked cigarettes and weed during her pregnancy ! Her baby came out 7 lbs and healthy ! But I couldn't do it !
  • I am too, but I was very vocal about my disapproval when my friend was smoking while pregnant. She continued to smoke, had delivery complications and her daughter has hearing problems.

My mother smoked with all 3 of her pregnancies ! I ended up with asthma and my siblings are fine ! I never smoked when pregnant with my son, and he ended up with Asthma, and I had delivery complications, my son was born with a cyst on his vocal cords !! I don't smoke either, but I've had friends who did smoke And also smoked weed, and their children are also fine ! My brothers gf smoked, drank and did drugs when pregnant with my niece and she's also fine, although we didn't agree with her decisions ...

I feel like I'm at least kind of making up for it by taking him for a walk, usually to the playground, most days. Plus we have a balcony right off our living room, and other than him throwing toys over the railing, I have no worries about him playing out there. I can keep an eye on him even as I fold laundry or get dinner going, or just sit outside with him.

Yes, I feel I'm a much better mom when we have the option of going outside. This week has been a "good mom" week and it makes me happy.

I wish there wasn't snow so I could take my son to the playground ! Had him outside riding his bike and playing with his bubble machine !
  • I took my guy to the zoo yesterday and today he's coloring with sidewalk chalk in the backyard but there have definitely been A LOT of way too much TV days! Thankfully his (super awesome) nanny is a very active outdoorsy person so she always takes him out to play on nice days. Not really sure how I'm going to handle the SAHM thing once we move.
  • Some days I just don't feel like taking my PNVs but luckily DH doesn't seem to notice. If my (well meaning, loving) MIL knew... oh the horrors.

Yeah I totally get that. That's why it's just a risk. I would never say anything to a stranger or someone I wasn't close to because I truly understand struggles. I just had that kind of relationship with this friend. My cousin did a lot of drugs, drank and smoked with her first born and he was born with Downs.

This is absolutely flame-free and I hope I haven't made anyone upset. I'd love a cigarette right now haha and I've totally had a few beers and a few glasses of wine this pregnancy. I might disapprove but I'd never deem someone a bad mother for smoking while pregnant. Much love.

I get what you were trying to say ! But lots of things can happen regardless the precautions we take
  • @ascholl1121 I have the same problem with my prenatals. Until I started taking them at night. You basically sleep through the nausea. But sometimes I forget to take them before I sleep and I choose to skip them that day cos gosh I hate that sick feeling ick! Hope that helps :)
  • @LiveNLove44 how crazy is that!! Haha mine are also insane about visitors and go absolutely nuts when a storm rolls in (like at the moment actually). But in their defense, they've both been this way since I adopted them so I knew what I was getting into at the time. These pregnancy hormones though....and my oldest schnauzer has also tried to bite myself and my hubs which is a new, undesireable, development. I've already told hubs that if one of them even growls at our baby then they'll be gone but he talked me down to just making them permanent outdoor dogs. I sure hope they get their acts together soon!
  • I too have a mini schnauzer and have been stressed about how he'll handle a new baby. He's so loving with my husband and me, but it's hard to have any visitors over because he barks like mad. On walks, he'll lunge at strangers going past. I don't want him preventing people from coming over to see the baby. I'd really like to take him to obedience training like we should have done long ago, but my husband would rather get a bark collar. (Like that'll do anything.)

What do y'all do when you have guests over? Do you crate them?
  • Well Prince, my older schnauzer has serious stranger issues, specifically with men. He was a rescue and before we was taken in by the rescue he had been badly physically abused by men whIle tied up without shelter in all weather 24/7. So naturally he hates strangers and hates strange men more and i cant use any physical punishment on him since it would only make things worse.

When we have guests over they stay in their kennel in our bedroom until the initial excitement has passed. Then when they get quiet i'll open the bedroom door so they can acclimate to the new voices, and if that goes well i'll let them out of the kennel but they have to stay in the bedroom with the door open. Once they can calmly do that i'll let them into the living room with us and just ask our guests not to touch them until they have calmed down and I think they are alright. If they start acting up again then one or both go back to the kennel and we start over. It's a pain in the butt but mostly everyone in my circle are pet people so they understand that the first hour or so of a visit are going to be mildly annoying.

Usually the barking is over pretty quick but they are both such alert dogs that any little sound sends them barking like mad. I'm not sure what to do about that because if they do that while baby or I am trying to sleep it won't end well.
