I am a Special Education Teacher! I am also working towards my graduate degree in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Between those two, which keep me busy enough, I tutor middle and high school students. In my free time I look at all things pregnancy and BABY! I'm a little obsessive - can never be too prepared!
Lol I'm super late to this... But I used to work at a law firm, before I lost my job due to 3 weeks of bronchitis and laryngitis.... Now I'm a medical courier though I do pick up other stuff sometimes! I frequently transport human organs, prescriptions, meds, medical records, etc. I'm always going to hospitals and picking up from doctors... I like it but work decided to screw me once the other co owner took over, and especially once they found out I was pregnant (though I'm not anymore).... Now I can't pay my bills. I'm desperately trying to find a job I can do from home now (and not direct sales) especially since my husband said he would feel more comfortable about ttc if I could work from home.
Edit: what I did before, I didn't always transport crazy stuff!
Wow, I love this thread! This has honestly made my day!!! I am an administrative assistant at a smaller company and we sell doors and locks and keys...super exciting. However there is always an 'emergency' going on because a certain order for a big contractor hasn't shown up yet and it falls on me to figure out the date it will arrive here.
My happy job is Mary Kay. I am an Independent Beauty Consultant and it is my time for myself. I love to go hang out with the girls, and be able to talk about things with women and I get to decide when I want to work my business.
kyleneum13, I love reading your stuff! I'm glad I am reading this and seeing that everybody else is 'normal' so to say as well.
I am registered nurse and behavioral health case manager. I work with a team of nurses, therapists, case managers, recovery support specialists and a psychiatrist treating people with severe mental illnesses. It's a pretty fun job since we get to meet with people in their homes and work on anything from understanding medications to going grocery shopping. Plus I rarely have a boring day and generally come home with some fun stories
My goal in the next 5-7 years is to go back to school to get my doctor of nursing practice in psych/mental health and have my own practice

Sorry just saw this thread, but would like to join the party. I'm an accountant working in house for a casino in Las Vegas. @27alex - I know the retail feeling. I used to work for Coach, Armani, and French Connection. Dealing with shoppers is never fun especially when you're in a management role. Kuddos to you for not getting stuck in a career you don't like.
@heawilliams my DH is an in house graphic artist for a casino here in MO. Those gaming license forms we had to fill out when he first got hired are a doozy!
@jennymack79 no kidding. They wanted my first born, half my hair, and blood to work in finance. It is pretty cool though. Just makes it hard to place a bet on a football game when I know the odds are with the house.
