I was thinking I wouldn't get sick this whole pregnancy then BAM 33 weeks in I get a sore throat, ear ache, body aches, and chest congestion. I took a sick day today; I never take sick days but DH reminded me that if I take care of myself now I could prevent this from getting worse. He's so wise. He will make a great dad!
Not really noticing a lot of pregnancy related symptoms...
Is mean a symptom? I just can't deal with people today. The sounds of certain people talking just makes me irate. I'm still anxious about my 3 hour glucose test tomorrow and that's probably my issue. Baby is moving tons today, which is amazing, but I'm definitely feeling pelvic pressure. We've been having dreary/rainy weather all week and it's not helping me with being so tired. I want a nap.
@ngaines27 Hope you feel better soon! Get lots of rest.
As for me, I've been feeling a little bit like I'm back in the first trimester with this early morning nausea and headaches. Also, as I've said before, annoying dry skin, but I'm increasing my water intake and trying to keep a consistent skin routine to see if it helps at all. Overall, feeling good and happy that it's my Friday because these kids are already on my last damn nerve.
I'm exhausted today. Woke up at 2am to a blood bath of a bloody nose. I've never had one before, but D/H used to get them all the time. It lasted over an hour. My allergies have also kicked in and have a wonderful sore throat. Yay me!
I had a dream last night that we had a girl (AGAIN! Four or five girl dreams now, zero boy dreams, and we are Team Green. What does that mean?). It was awesome and hilarious because:
a) After she was born, DH said, "I think we should name her Cora" which is a name I lobbied hard for, but he refuses. It was very exciting.
b) It didn't hurt AT ALL. Even in my dream, that was rather exciting.
c) After she was born, we went to Brussels and filled up on all our favorite beers. Someone asked why I was drinking, and I said, "Oh! We had the baby!! Want to see pictures? She's at the hospital this weekend, but we will pick her up on Sunday, on our way home."
I woke up laughing.
But I also had another leg cramp in the middle of the night. I am trying to use my Hypnobirthing techniques on my leg cramps, and just relax and breathe into them. It works surprisingly well if I can remember to do it. I act like that has any relation to childbirth, but the belief that it does is keeping me calm, so whatever. LOL!
@amark11 I think the OWT is that you end up having the opposite of what you dream. But I would think that's bosh. Your dreams are part of your subconscious, which knows more than we do on the surface. I think its more likely if you dream of a girl, its a girl. Can't wait to find out!

I actually read that the baby is the opposite sex of what mom's to be dream about, but it was a website of old wive's tales. Lol. I had a weird dream at the beginning of my pregnancy that I was back in my mom's old home town, and she was with me (she's been dead for almost four years, but I do dream about her around once a month or so). Anyway we went to this soda fountain and sat down and there was a little boy that was around 5 grinning at us. In the dream I thought to myself, "that's my son." Long story short, I'm having a boy. I still feel weird thinking about that dream. I'll be interested to see what you end up having!
Hope everyone's feeling great!
@KarasTwin crossing my fingers for you! I'm also easily annoyed today, but I have no excuse.
@frankengibbs I meant to reply on the other post to you ! I've also been trying to bring my water intake up for my dry skin, haven't seen a difference yet but its barley been a couple days. I hope it gets better for you!
Ok! I'm going to ask for some help....... I am in god awful rib pain..... This baby is breech and keeps shoving it's head/something into my right rib cage... Someone posted a link awhile back to spinning babies or something?!? Could that person post again ??? And while someone else said doing pelvic tilts for 30 minutes each night worked ....... I tried that.... My fat self could barely get off the ground. Right now I'm alternating heat and ice..... To get him to move maybe....... I'm in misery. And also I feel a headache coming on..... Maybe I should write all this in my pregnancy journal. Heartwarming. Ha.
@knwilliams01 keep up the good morale! strong lady!!!!
@KarasTwin mean is so a legit symptom. I have it right now..... Lol
@frankengibbs I think we are all reverting back to 1st trimester and then some! Hope your headaches don't get too bad.
Ok ladies...... Hopefully someone can help me spin this baby.....
I didn't get much sleep last night! I'm super congested and had to mouth breathe which was waking me up. Finally was able to get relief when I added a third pillow
The ravenous hunger has returned - aka DH is bringing me home cooked food tonight for a break from hospital/takeout meals. Woohoo!
Me as well! I work to not restrict myself and the result has been a whole lot of noming on less nutritional food. Also seem to be way dehydrated so boo...back to the water/Gatorade routine.
@laurendutch do you use breath right strips? If not give them a try they aren't fool proof but they make the difference between sleep and no sleep during my allergy season.

No symptoms out of the usual for me today - the main ones I've noticed are baby moving around a lot (as usual) and my bump getting in the way of things (as usual). I hope those of you who aren't feeling so great feel better soon!

I do it 20 minutes 3 times a day. I use my husband's workout bench at a reverse incline. FYI it's a lot on the back and with pregnancy taking away my strong core it has caused some lower back pain so I recommend having a spotter when you do it. I also recommend playing some music... To keep your mind off of howling you have been there and to hopefully encourage your LO to get its groove on/ move out of that breech position
Exhaustion, headaches, nausea. I just generally feel miserable and unwell! Trying to remain positive and remember that the only thing that matters is that baby girl is healthy. Oh... And that 8 weeks isn't THAT long... Right?!
@klkonwi and @amccoy129 thanks, ladies! I'm not so happy that I'm having to take a personal day tomorrow, but I think I need a day off, even if I have to spend it taking a glucose test
I just ate a nut. One single nut. I literally thought I was going to die.
I have never been allergic to any foods in my life, and even throughout my pregnancy thus far have snacked on the bowl of mixed nuts we keep on our kitchen table. I just ate peanut butter yesterday! 15 minutes ago, I grabbed a nut and ate it and within 30 seconds my throat was itching and I could not stop coughing. It went away thank goodness, but I was panicking there for a bit.
I'll be keeping my distance from you, cashew/macadamia/pecan/walnut medley.
I have heartburn and a very "full" or heavy feeling throughout the day. The snowy weather and a friends sad news of the loss of their 20 week pregnancy has me feeling blue today too.
Hope all you ladies with colds feel better soon.
@klkonwi I'm not sure of the exact site, but I did watch the video on that website which had a few good inversion exercises to try. I also spent a good amount of time on my exercise ball with my legs/pelvis open and tilted forward to open space for LO to move. Rocking back and forth and in circles plus some mild bouncing helps to open up the pelvis to create room for baby. Sitting on a kitchen chair in reverse and resting your arms and head on the back rest while arching your back so that baby/belly moves toward the back rest (think cow pose from yoga while seated) is supposed to help.
i 2nd the easily annoyed thing. but thats me everyday, its just awkward for me because ive never been the touchy feely type, but it seems like everyone i pretend to like just wants to feel me up. ran into my MIL today while at the store and of course she asks in that cutesy voice "is somebody going to kick for me?" i almost growled. i hate being touched and shes a nice lady.. she just really.. really annoys me.. and of course i feel powerless to do anything because im pretty sure if i asked her/told her not to touch me i would hear it from her and FIL (im only 20, so im sure they would reprimand me) im also really tired.
Ladies, I am posting some opinions on other threads because it is the nature of those threads. But I want to say here that I have come to really lean on and love all you regulars, so I hope that I don't offend you, and if we have different opinions, we can still celebrate the pregnancies that unite us. Symptom: hormonal and weepy xoxo

It's only been a couple of days for me too so I'm hoping in a week or two at least my arms and legs won't feel as dry, though I'm considering switching to a dry skin lotion in addition to the coconut oil I put on after my shower (which has helped a little if you haven't tried that one yet). As for my face...I think I might just have the "pregnancy mask" and because I have sensitive skin it's gotten to be a pain trying to keep my skin from looking like it's going to fall off.
@klkonwi Thank you, I'm hoping that they don't get bad either because unfortunately Tylenol has about the same affect on me as swallowing an MM would have and I hate the idea of going back to locking myself in a cold dark room all day like I did before. Less than 8 weeks...I can do this...

I agree with the others, mean is totally a symptom...I think I had a touch of meanness earlier as well. Some days it's like I've lost my ability to be patient all together. Good luck with your 3hr! Keep us posted.

Nothing wrong with differing opinions! I think everything has been very respectful so far - I'm glad we can talk about hot topics without taking stuff personally! Love our June 15 group
Mean is totally a symptom. I feel like that is kind of a recurring symptom with me, I'm certainly more cranky than usual, but I keep putting it down to stress. Other than that, just feeling not huge, per se', just unwieldy. I get energy, I do stuff, then I'm wiped. Acid reflux at night. Feeling dehydrated, my lips are mad chapped, I know I need more water, its just, So. Much. Water. So yeah, case of the meanies and the blahs. Impatient, kinda
I keep walking into walls. I don't get it - am thicker, but not like I'm that much wider. Probably once a day, I go through a doorway or turn a corner and catch my whole shoulder on the wall. WTF?!
@amark11 I feel the same way. I hope I don't make anyone mad or hurt anyone's feelings by accident. I sincerely care about everyone and actually find myself wondering if someone's feeling better or if everyone's ok. Even if all the other BMs don't approve I think we're all pretty awesome.
My symptom is I can't keep my sugar up. I forget to eat small meals and I don't have room for a large meal. I can defiantly feel the difference in my size lately. Our baby is a growin fast.

I have been doing the same thing! DH keeps making fun of me for it. I have never been this clutzy! I also keep forgetting that I have a bump and try to sit or slide through narrow spots like I have done previously. It doesn't work that well...
So not being able to touch the floor while bending at the waist has been a thing for me for a while. But I am discovering tonight at my internship that I am getting dangerously close to not even being able to pick things up off the floor while squatting. Frustrating and uncomfortable, but hey, at least this means baby's growing!
@karaelaine1991 I had the same experience today when I was hanging something and dropped the nail... Had to go to the kitchen and get a pair of tongs.
Which reminds me. Another symptom today. Lazy. Hubby went to the gym and I said I would have dinner ready when he got home. Sat on the couch and contemplated ordering Chinese take out and telling him I made it so he wouldn't guilt me (we are trying to cut back on eating out to save some money this month), but then I thought what if he likes it and asks me to make it again and this becomes a web of lies I have to keep up for years and years? Decided against it and realized I could have made dinner in the time it took to play that hypothetical scenario out in my head.

Ooh, good solution! Will have to remember that haha
My center of gravity is really starting to change!
I didn't full on slip and fall getting out of the bathtub today, but I definitely slipped and landed on my bum. That was terrifying! I called my doc even though I didn't even hurt myself just to check. All's good, though. I just need to start being more careful. #:-S

Oh no, I'm glad you're not hurt! I've been starting to get worried about this too, I usually flip my hair over to put it in a towel while I'm still standing in the tub, but I'm starting to get worried that the momentum from that could cause me to slip... probably just paranoia, but, like you said, with the shifting center of gravity I feel like that's a semi-legitimate concern? It might be time for me to start doing that after I go to stand on the bathmat.

I felt stupid calling the doc, because I really wasn't hurt, just startled. I'm not trying to scare you or be paranoid, but I wasn't even doing anything except getting up when I slipped. Do your "whip your herr back and forth" moves après-bath on the bathmat, methinks.

The center of gravity thing is really messing with my bowling game. I haven't improved the whole season, and every single time when I go to bowl it feels like I am learning how to do it all over again. Since its every two weeks enough has changed with my weight and weight distribution each time what worked 2 weeks prior won't work at the current session.
Good ending: hadn't really felt the baby in about 24 hours. Had ultrasound today to make sure he was ok. I learned that our amniotic fluid tends to peak at 30 weeks, making it difficult to feel his kicks. Sure enough, he was going wild in my belly (like he always does) and im just not feeling it. that made me so relieved!
Re: Daily Symptoms Thread - 4/16
I have an annoying upper respiratory infection.
Plus, my normal restless legs, lower back and hip pain.
I hope everyone is feeling okay today!
Not really noticing a lot of pregnancy related symptoms...
Hope everyone is doing well!
