3 days past my due date... I've been having Braxton hicks every evening since my due date... I'm ready for REAL labor! Last weeks doctor visit showed not dilation, and cervix was still really high. Hoping tomorrow's visit is a little more promising.
Due date is tomorrow and I have had zero signs of anything. I've been .5 cm dilated and 80% effaced for two weeks. Doctor went ahead and set an induction date for NEXT Monday night!! I'll be 41 weeks if he doesn't come on his own this week. Not putting a whole lot of faith in that though. He is super low she said, which explains the crazy amount of back/leg pain. But for planning reasons, I don't mind him waiting until his induction date. As long as I can lay in bed I'm ok. Knowing the end is near helps.
Today is my due date. Have been to triage twice thinking it was the real thing--consistent contractions, etc only to be sent home. I'm 3-4 cm dilated, 80% effaced. Come out baby!
Appt. was today... 40+2. I'm 3 1/2 centimeters dialated and +1station... so this prodromal labor is actually doing things. One week ago i was 2 1/2 cm. dialated and a -1 station. She massaged my cervix and I bled a good amount and contractions are getting painful. All my mucus plug is gone.Hopefully things happen soon... ready to have this girl!
I was due April 2nd, and still no sign of him being ready to hatch. I am I guess only 50% effaced -- which is weird... last week she said about 80 to 90% effaced... can that really change like that? I guess I am now at a 1-2 cm dilated. I have an ultrasound tomorrow that they are doing to try to determine if baby is going to be really big, since baby has been measuring big since about 20 weeks. Now they want to see how big he approximately is, and possibly schedule a c-section, if they think that he is going to be an 11 lb baby. Considering that I was 9lb 8oz, and my husband was upwards of 10lbs, I am worried about a big baby - I am most worried about trying to give birth naturally, and then baby getting stuck in the birth canal, and I am DEATHLY afraid of him getting stuck, and having to vacuumhim out, or worse! Forceps scares the crap out of me! I think that scares me more than doing a c-section. I am seriously afraid of that more than I am of a c-section.
I was due Saturday... I've been doing everything under the sun... Using an exercise ball, walking, sex, spicy food, evening primrose oil, and I was even desperate enough to try castor oil. I've only had cramping and low back pains and some sharp pains in my groin... Where is my baby ???
Well we've reached our 2nd due date today and nothing yet. We had 2 different dates since both Doctors she's seeing calculated it differently. Like the others here, just having normal contractions/pains and not labor ones as yet. Bags are packed and already in the car. I expect an induction as they told us that they won't let her go past the due date because of her gestational diabetes. On the way to our appointment now to find out.
Still walking, bouncing, sex-ing (haha), squatting, and... still nothing. I even got desperate enough to try out the breast pump for nipple stimulation, which was great bc now I know how to work it, and it was cool to see colostrum coming out, but produced zero contractions. Induction day is looming closer (Friday) and I'm losing hope ( And I just need to vent: a friend is 34 weeks pregnant and keeps texting me to "commiserate" about how "SO OVER" pregnancy she is. I am afraid to even respond at this point out of fear of ruining our friendship, as I know nothing nice will come out. Don't complain to 41 week pregnant women about how awful 34 weeks feels!!! [-X
I was due yesterday and have an induction scheduled for Thursday (because of medical reasons). I've had BH since last week and lost my mucus plug on Sunday night so I'm hoping and praying that this baby decides to come naturally before then!
Might as well join the club now...I am due on the 9th but at my visit today was only 75% effaced and not dilated at all - no change in the last week! I know I should be thankful to be able to carry a baby to term (and longer) because so many women can't.. But I am seriously ready to meet our baby girl!

My due date is tmw and no action in site so joining the club. working the rest of the week and looking forward to one last nice peaceful weekend with the hubs.
Due date is today with no labor in sight, so I will sadly join the over due club as well. Hoping that I have progressed since last weeks appointment where I was 1cm and 90%....
Scheduled my induction today and had my first cervical check. I've refused them as I didn't want to get discouraged, since I know they mean nothing, but I still had a meltdown when he told me I haven't dilated (and therefore a membrane sweep wasn't even an option). I'm 41 weeks tomo. This baby is way to comfortable.
Finally at 40+3 on April 8th I had Kalista Lua... 8 lbs 4oz. with a natural homebirth... it's all a daze how it happened. Ladies it will come. I labored 16hrs and 1 1/2 hrs of pushing. Went from the day of being 50 percent effaced and 4cm... moved slowly from 4-7 1/2. Then bam, it happened fast, cervix was paper thin and went to 7 1/2 to 10 on no time... ftm... just encouraging you... when labor starts you might not really think it's it... but things progress suddenly and quickly...
I have an induction scheduled for Tuesday at 41 weeks if he still isn't here! I have been dilated to 3 and 80% effaced for almost two weeks now! Hoping he comes on his own in the next four days.
Still waiting 40+4...still only 1 cm. Had contractions yesterday but they stopped. At my Dr's appt next Monday we will talk about next steps. Hope it happens before then...
Today is my official due date. Just went to the doctor. My induction is scheduled for a week from today (4/16)... I am just feeling so discouraged. This is my second, and I thought it was supposed to come quicker this time. I have been 1cm for 3 weeks now. I've had contractions here and there, but they don't last long enough and there aren't enough of them yet. Just so frustrated that my body won't progress on it's own. It's making me feel a bit like a failure.
I just feel the pressure. I know logically that I of course have no control over going into labor. It's just hard when my husband took this week off work, and everytime I call anyone in my family, they think I'm in labor. I just can't help feeling like I'm disappointing everyone.
I'm just going to try and relax, and give myself over to the process. It is just discouraging.
I have a scheduled induction today at 40+5 but the hospital has no open beds, which is weird to me. Beyond frustrated and soooo ready to meet this very comfy baby!!
Baby arrived about 24 hours after induction via emergency c section. Poor little baby had his cord wrapped around his neck and the doctor said it was holding him back like a bungee cord! Luckily he remained totally chill in there, no fetal distress. He is doing great, but it sucked to have to have the c section!
40+1 today. Have tried membrane sweep, castor oil, sex, bouncing, walking, and now on EPO although i don't think ill be inserting vaginally. Had a ultrasound yesterday and the tech suggested the baby was about 9lb 4oz which has me freaking out about delivery, i had planned for an unmedicated birth and if the baby is in fact that big I don't think it's even an option anymore, not to mention fears of shoulder dystonia and fetal distress. Midwife won't consider induction until past 41 weeks which is totally understandable, but this kid is going to be massive if i go that long. VERY upset today.
I am also very upset alongside many of you. My hospital won't induce until at least 1.5 weeks overdue. Currently my induction is scheduled for the 17th which is two days shy of two weeks overdue. I am lacking grace these days and am actually becoming angry. I am willing to try all the snake oil, so to speak, but in the end these overdue babies decide, I suppose. I want/wanted so badly to do this whole thing naturally but I see that snowballing out of my control. Sad - and the daily texts from family and friends don't help. I am sure my husband is as annoyed as I am with the same old conversation about when she will get here! Can't really plan a trip out of town or do anything else except....just.....wait.....day.....after.....day.....
My due date was April 2nd, but what made me more upset and anxious was my friend having her baby 3 weeks early and the day before my due date. It made me so envious she was with her baby and I didn't get to meet my little man yet. There were lots of tears and disappointment and prayers had in those four days before I started feeling true labor pains. The contractions I felt were much more forceful and painful than ever before, you will know the difference between Braxton hicks and real labor by being unable to sit or stand! But once I felt them I was so happy I would no longer need to wait for baby to come! Little did I know it would be a 31 hour wait of many labor pains to come. I would never tell a woman past her due date to be patient because I know the emotional pain behind it.
Joining the club. ( As of today I am 40+1 (was due April 10th) and I haven't felt one real contraction yet. I have been stuck at 3cm and 80% thinned for 2 weeks now. I am going for vbac but my doctors won't let me go past 40+5. So they are giving me until Tuesday (40+4) and then they are going to break my water. If she doesn't come after 19hrs I'm having a repeat cesarean Wednesday morning. Please pray that she comes before then because I don't want another cesarean. It was so awful and painful last time.

Due date was April 9th - had an u/s Friday to confirm that he was OK to wait it out and all his measurements were normal .... so the wait continues! We will be setting an induction date at my next appt. My OB does not let moms go past 41,3 (April 19th). I was a good 2cm and 75% effaced at my last appt. Lost my mucous plug last Sunday. Been having BH contractions since 33 weeks. Was high risk for pre term labour so I have been off work for 3 weeks - heading into my 4th week off work and I am ready to meet our little guy!
Still no baby. Due date was 4/7 and I'm scheduled for an induction Monday night. Went to the hospital last night because I was having rhythmic contractions. They checked and said I wasn't dilated at all, even though my doctor has said I've been .5 cm for two weeks. Had to stay and be monitored for about an hour and a half and since there was no change they sent me home. I'm still having rhythmic contractions, some stronger than others and now have no clue what to do. Just praying my water breaks or the next two days go by really fast. Kind of crappy when you go to the hospital because you do exactly what the books and doctor tell you to do and then they send you home. Frustrating.
I'm 40+5 and very frustrated. Had a sweep on Thursday, and I've almost passed the 48 hour mark for that to work. I was told I'll be induced on Monday, but haven't received a call yet. Ugh.
