Oh Lord.... y'all have officially shamed me and I have some incentive to work harder. My husband and I take the dogs for a walk when he gets home, but honestly that's about as much "actual" exercise as I have gotten. I can't walk up the stairs without getting winded! Seriously... a trip to the grocery store the other day had me feeling way too exhausted, I wasn't even sure I'd make it home to put the groceries away!
I was holding out for the magical 2nd trimester energy that supposedly returns, but I haven't felt it yet. Maybe I need to be pushing through it?
Don't worry too much I feel the same pre preg I would workout 5/6 times a week and loved every minute went to my trx class last week and felt awful once completed and body was so sore rest of week I really want to get back to it but just no energy
I do insanity 5 days a week. My goal is to make it as long as possible. Surprisingly I have had more motivation than before I was pregnant.
Yeah me too! I actually got married last year and sort of got lazy for a minute, my husband's wonderful Latino family just cooked for me every day and fed me to death haha!! So as soon as we decided to start trying for baby in December I got back to a serious workout and health(ier) eating routine and I'm so much more motivated now with my baby inside me!!
Went grocery shopping for the T25 5-day fast track for me and hubby. We were looking at our pictures from when we were dating and oh my, have we gotten chubby haha! Will have to double up on snacks to make sure I'm getting enough calories, but it's a very healthy meal plan so I'm not worried. Doing T25 and 100 squats tonight. Don't forget to do your Monday pelvic exercises ladies!! :-)
What a fun thread!! I've been loving this pregnancy because I've been able to continue exercising since day one. With my other pregnancies I was way too sick. I do free workouts on YouTube from millionaire hoy, they are killer and I'm loving that I'm still able to do most of it without modifying. I also have been doing Pilates. I was big into running before I got pregnant and I ran three miles on Saturday and later that day was completely shot, couldn't move a muscle! Anyways, it's been really cool to see the difference with this pregnancy, a lot less aches and pains, especially back pain! I'm curious to see how fast I bounce back after delivery.
@runerrand So great to hear your experience! Having energy to stay fit is definitely my favorite part of pregnancy (# 1 for me). I hope to keep it up through the end of this thing and also bounce back to a healthy weight quickly after baby comes!
My goal is some Speed 1.0 tomorrow, I love me some Shawn T (I'm sure I'll be cursing minutes after warm up) . And I am going to a new bootcamp for baby & bump wearers on Saturday that I am excited for.
I exercised 5-6 days per week before I became pregnant and even taught two zumba classes a week on top of my regular weight lifting workouts. I had every intention of keeping it that way (with limits) but 24 hour morning sickness had another plan for me. To be fair to my students I gave my zumba class to another instructor and I was away from the gym all of February and March.
I was so upset! It seems that much of my progress was lost but I'm hoping it's just being covered with a layer of fluff.
I was finally able to get back into it yesterday (shoulders and tris) and today (legs)! I feel amazing and the last two nights I've slept the best yet in the last three months. Usually when I'm up five times in the night to pee I have a hard time going back to sleep...but with exercise I'm asleep before my head hits the pillow again.
@Elecin great to hear your story and I'm glad you're getting your energy back. Working out is what helps me sleep too! Without it, I get really restless legs and toss and turn a lot. Keep up the great work ladies!!
I have been crossfitting for almost 2 years and I'm 15.5 weeks right now. I used to do 5 days a week and I've slowed to 3 days per week mostly due to increased exhaustion. The only things I modify are any exercises that work your ab muscles. It's not recommended that you continue to do anymore ab- isolating workouts as this will lead to the ab muscles separating more than they need to. If they happen to rupture, the surgery is incredibly painful and harmful. One of the girls I crossfit with is a nurse so that certainly helps when deciding how to keep my heart rate in a healthy rage while still continuing the WODs with everyone else. I plan to keep my 3 day a week routine as long as I can throughout my pregnancy. The summer months I'm sure are gonna be rough since crossfit boxes don't usually have A/C, but I'll listen to my body and decide how to proceed. Good luck everyone!
Can I join in on this? I was doing very dynamic, hot yoga (dharma, acro, lots of handstands, even trapeze, etc)- and when I got preggers I immediately stopped and went right to prenatal yoga (yawn). But my doc told me the level of stuff I was doing was not safe for preganancy at my age (35)!? I've been walking MILES and MILES a day ( I don't work living overseas) and lift small weights at home. I miss my hard core, 105 degree upside down workouts --- but know better than to risk anything! I feel so out of shape already. This group seems awesome and I plan on checking in to keep me motivated to try new things! Thanks ladies!!
I'm finally feeling better and not throwing up all day long so I'm back to being active. I'm slowly getting back into it because I haven't done anything since my morning (all day) sickness started at five weeks. I walked two miles with my daughter today and plan to row once she goes to bed.
Yall are making me feel slack with these great workouts! I go to zumba once a week and walk incline on treadmill or exercise bike. Using small weights for arms and do 100 squats a day. My doctor hasnt been helpful about this subject so ive kind of been modifying things but miss my corr workouts. Are there are good workout videos for pregnancy??
@us2ukmom So proud of you! Walking and lifting weights is great for you and baby, even though I know it's not quite as exciting as what you're used to. I find prenatal yoga a little boring too haha, but still try to squeeze it in here and there. I'm sticking to modified T25 workouts and Jillian Michaels Cardio Blast, and lots and lots of squats! I went to doc today and have gained 5 pounds at 17 weeks, so I'm pretty happy with that too! I had a few lazy weeks in there, no doubt, but trying to exercise every day now!
@sidskinner, 100 squats a day is nothing to scoff at, that's pretty awesome! I always throw in some plié squats, sumo squats, and weighted squats to mix it up. I don't know of any good videos specifically designed for pregnant exercise, but I'm sure there are a million on YouTube. Let us know if you find any good ones!
I was a devoted Shaun T fan up to my 6th week of pregnancy. Completed insanity, and just stuck with T25 over and over because it always kicks my butt. After my 5th week I had NO drive, energy, or desire to work out. The rest of my first trimester I ran 2 miles on one day and did 1 video another day. Two days after completing a T25 video I felt like a truck ran me over! I woke up crying because my whole body hurt, Especially my boobs. Today. (16+1) I was looking back at my hot pics and motivated myself to workout. I hope I can continue motivating myself and getting motivation from you ladies as well. Here is the routine I did today. (I added 5lb weights to my squats and 3 lbs ankle weights to go with my donkey kicks) I actually thought it was a perfect routine to start off with after being off for weeks.
Did shoulders and triceps on Monday, cardio and yoga yesterday and I can't wait to do legs today. I've also been following an "if it fits your macros" eating style and it helps not go crazy with my cravings and binge. I feel so good this week! Yay baby!

You look beautiful! What an inspiring mama you are :-) Thanks for sharing! I'll get my workout in after work this evening for sure now haha
P90x3. I have done the program before. This time I am modifying some and only working out 4 days a week. Plus walking the dog. And I teach a class full of 4 year olds for a living.
I did an hour "advanced" pre natal class, lifted (shapes little black dress workout app) and walked all over London for FIVE HOURS (got some cute maternity beach clothes while I was at it Then I at a chicken burrito from chipotle (yes, we have that here!) but I was starving! Ha! Love this post- keep it up ladies!!
Zumba for me, three days this week. The fam and I are hiking this weekend, so I can get my fourth day in. This is my second and I was not active at all with my first pregnancy and I paid for it after he was born. It took me forever to get back into working out! This time around I am trying to stay as active as I can!:)
Ohhh my goodness. Returned to the gym this morning after weeks of not including some bed rest for a few weeks (it was supposed to be last week, oops) walked about a mile and my legs HURT! Hopefully I can work through the soreness and pain and get back there tomorrow! Can't imagine all the mama's to be who still run while pregnant, so strong!
I used my TRX yesterday for lots of lower and upper body and I feel great! I think I need to add another day into my week as my lower back is starting to bother me
Did an interesting mix of legs and shoulders last night and I am SORE today! Thinking my two mile walk and some stretching is about all that's going to be happening for me today!
Love this thread and seeing all your different workouts! Nice work ladies

Yep it's always tough getting back on track, but I'm super proud of you! I love that soreness, means it's working :-) I don't run anymore, just too uncomfortable ugh, those mamas are incredibly strong!! Keep up the great work

I also noticed a few nights ago that my lower back is starting to get tight and a little sore at night, but I sit at my desk all day for work so need to get up and stretch more throughout the day! Good for you girlie, we're setting a great pattern for our babies down the road!
Hi all! Hope it's not too late for me to join... I am 17 wks along and started this preg about 25 lbs overweight I did 21 day fix last summer and loved it- now that out of the first trimester nausea & fatigue (fatigue still but not nearly as bad!) I'd like to start it back up today
Never too late to join @karend2014 Hubby and I also gained some weight last year after we got married, so I came into pregnancy 15+ pounds overweight ugh. I'm staying active and eating pretty healthy, so I'm not worried. Doc said for me to continue exercising as before, but modify things if I'm tired or really hot, so that's what I've been doing. Keep us posted on your progress! I'm glad you're feeling better and can get started today! :-bd
60 min of piyo yesterday and climbed 1200 stairs at an incline we have at a park today plus a couple hours of yard work! I feel soooo much better on the days I workout so have been trying to do minimum 5x/week!
I just ordered a maternity support belt thing after a 4 mile run/walk last weekend and having significant tightness in the pelvic region - holy ouch! Can't wait to get it and try it out!
I've been doing Zumba Mondays and Barre Wednesdays, but I'm stopping Barre because my balance is going to crap. I'll probably do Zumba twice a week with some walking when it's nice and yoga when it's not.

I'll look into getting one of those too, let us know what you think of it.
So I was beyond lazy yesterday and today! Worked at my desk all day, did some housework and laundry, but never exercised! So tonight I started up my squats and could barely do 50 without panting like a pathetic dog haha. Pretty crazy how two stinkin lazy days can cause such a setback. Gonna make myself do a second round before bed and hopefully at least get 100 squats in for the night! Stay on top of your workouts ladies :-)
I spin 2-3 times a week, take a Zumba class once a week, and now that it's getting warmer out, I can get back to power walking with light weights! Working out is one of the only things that makes me feel "normal"--even though it's hard to get motivated, I feel so much better when I get it done!
I took a steep 45 minute walk this evening and my butt felt like it was on fire! Any recommendations for workout clothes that handle sweat well? This is gross, but my butt and crotch got all sweaty and now I feel like it's going to be rashy tomorrow! :-(
Wow, you ladies inspired me! I started strong but lost all motivation when my fatigue and dizziness struck. So far this week has been better than any, so I'm trying to make a plan to start stepping it up. So far it's just been some light walking 1 or 2 days a week. But my favorite pair of leggings ripped in the seam today and I think it's cause my thighs are thickening. I gained 5 pounds in the last month! I'm up 8 pounds total at 17 weeks. I don't want to go past 10 until week 25. So all this super woman motivation is great !!. Way to go all of you! You're amazing and I want to join the club!
Re: * Weekly Workout *
I really want to get back to it but just no energy
Today I think I'll take a walk for some fresh air, do my 100 squats, and do a kettlebell workout.
What workouts are you ladies doing this week? :bz

Finally did my 21 day fix total body cardio
