    Im 38wk+1day and I haven't had any internal check yet.....  is this normal?! I feel like I should know this..... I was induced with my last child and was 80% effaced and 3cm dilated at 38weeks.... I feel very much in the dark this time around. I do know she is super low and it's getting painful to even walk normal :(

    I have a friend who is currently pregnant as well, and they wouldn't do an internal on her until 39 weeks.

    I'm 37w 5days with my first baby. Dilated 1cm, 80% effaced, and baby girl's head is at station 0. I'm starting to get anxious!!

    @vdavis89 I just got my first at 38 wks 2 days. I think every doctor is different. With my first I was checked at like 36 weeks. Again it all doesn't really matter much but it is cool to know :) I was a "loose" 1cm (not sure exactly what that means I assume close to 2 lol) and 50%. The doctor said you can walk around for weeks like that or go into labor tonight!

    I'm 38 weeks and have refused all internal exams. As a previous poster said, it's pretty much useless information. My SIL was at 3cm for 2 weeks. Another friend of mine was at 0cm and went into labor that night. My OB said unless I'm having consistent contractions, he won't check me, and I'm very happy with that plan!

    36 weeks, no dilation, just random BH and lost plug. Baby is very high and very breech though:(

    guinevereistopaz7777 I totally mistyped haha I am 36 weeks, 37 tomorrow. I had my 36 week cheek up yesterday and found out I am 2 centimeters dilated and 75% effaced ! She said at my check up with an US on Tuesday, if I am 5 centimeters dilated she's sending me to the hospital and our bundle of joy will be on his way ! Whhhoooooo

    I'm 38+2 and 5cm as of yesterday. Baby boy is 7lb about.

    36 weeks and I am 50% effaced, but not dialated. Also, the baby is still really high.

    At 35 weeks and 2 days I was 1cm and 50% effaced. Baby is breech still.

    Just had my GBS test at my last appointment, they will start doing my internals next week. I know that baby boy is riding super low though and walking is uncomfortable.

    I haven't been checked yet. This is my first baby but I don't think I've had any contractions so I have asked not to be checked. My mom says I'll definitely know when I have contractions. I haven't felt any pain and will be 38 weeks tuesday. I still want to ask my midwife to wait one more week but the last few days I've been feeling especially uncomfortable, I think that's just the baby pushing on my hips though?

    No idea on dilation or exact efacement as it's not done here. But kiddo was 4kg (8.8lb) at the appt last Friday (we have US every week) and parting words with the doc we're see you next Friday unless you go into labor before then. FX for this week!! I'm 38+3 today.

    Getting induced on the 30th due to GD... As of today I am a loose 1 cm, and 75% effaced. Not much progress since my last appointment two weeks ago (1 cm and 70%). Really hoping I can make more progress before my induction to be more favorable!

    I'm 36w 5d and I just saw my midwife today. She said that my cervix is really soft and about 2cm dilated, 20% effaced and LO is at -1. LO is also measuring 2 weeks ahead so I hope that means she is coming soon and that I don't stay here for a few weeks.

    I am 38 weeks and 1 day with baby #2.. Yesterday I had an appointment and I am 4cm dilated and 80% effaced. The doc told me I could have her any day now. I'm hoping sometime soon!

    My baby is still stationed at -3 :( but dr says he could still come tomorrow or 2-3 weeks from now.. I hope he comes soon!
