Since we are talking about exercise...

When do you find the time to work out?

I consistently find myself waiting until Brenna is in bed, and it is usually late when I get to it.  I have to wonder if I would sleep better if I tried to do it earlier in the evening.  Early AM does not work for me because the desire to sleep every second I can wins out over a 4:30 am work out session every time.  What do you do?

Ugh.  It's really hard.  I try to get out and at least take B for a walk in the afternoon when it's nice.  At least I'm moving.  He's been napping when I get home from school lately, so I've been trying to do it then.  (I already get up to pump early in the AM... any earlier and I will be a complete zombie)

A group of ladies I work with have a trainer work with them before they leave.  Another lady I work with does her work out 3 days a week before she picks up her kids.   That seems to work for her because then the night doesn't "escape her"

  • I always want to do it at night, but have neighbors living below us, so I'm afraid to. ?
  • Will somebody volunteer to be my trainer??  I really need somebody to motivate me!  I have NO idea what I am going to wear to work when I go back in a few weeks!  Seriously...I REFUSE to buy a whole new wardrobe to cover the extra 30 lbs I am toting around!  Smile

I think that being involved in organized sports all my life really stunted my ability to motivate myself.  I need somebody to follow me around with a whistle, shouting "PUUUUUSH...run faster, Tricia!"  LOL!

  • I don't :(

We go for lots of long walks, pretty much every evening, but at this point that's all I can do. When I'm done pumping next month I plan on fitting some exercise into those 120 extra minutes a day.

  • I'm lucky because I work only part time and have a gym with daycare.  That makes working out easy for me.  Of course, it does nothing for my bad eating habits.  I seriously need to lose some weight.  =/

  • This is really bad....my neighborhood has a gym facility in our clubhouse and I never go! Ahh.  Maybe we can have a weekly exercise check in and make each other accountable to one another?  I would love that!

I can only do certain types of exercise (walking/pilates/yoga) due to my c-section damage.

  • I was really lagging for a while there with exercising (like 8 MONTHS shhhh) but finally decided I don't want to be unhappy with the baby weight I STILL have almost 8 months later. I was having a hard time fitting it in and just kept making excuses. I find it easiest to use the wiifit because it entertains the boys or go for walks WITH them on nice days. It really is hard for me to fit it in, but I have to force myself. I could use a trainer too Tricia! I really want to get a 4 seat paddle boat and take it out each day on the lake with the boys. I think it would be entertaing for them and a great work out for me. Just gotta talk Chuck into going and getting it for me. Stick out tongue
