Just got the squooshie reusable pouches and sip'n choomee tops I ordered from Amazon. Threw some full fat yogurt and blackberries in a bowl, blended them with my long-forgotten immersion blender, and voila! A healthy, easy, cost-effective snack for LO! He loved it and so do i! Mess free and easy! Now to hunt for smoothie recipes, etc.
So I remember someone mentioning awhile ago that A13 did something for you guys and that you were going to do the same for A15... is that correct? Can someone explain?
March siggy challenge: Dream job = Playing with wolves
^ I think it was advice, or tips or something. But I think a lot of people were against it. I was lurking months ago on a brand new BMB and it was done there and came off as pretty annoying.
I thought it might be something like that. Annoying though? I always thought it was silly when moms to be get annoyed by advice from others who have been through it... Sure there are plenty of things that you may roll your eyes at, or have heard several times, but there are a lot of good things that are worth knowing as well. I am always willing to accept advice from people with experience.. whether I follow it or not is up to me, but there is no such thing as learning too much!

It was more advice about what was to come on the bump, like trolls and pictures of pee sticks. And a lot of the "advice" was through gifs. It was quite entertaining to lurk because the parenting ladies popped in to tell the posters how annoying it was, especially since that BMB hadn't gotten their BFPs yet.
Okay I'm kind of jealous of everyone who's down to 4-5 BF sessions a day... we still do at least ten, haha. On demand and allllll through the night. And she eats a ton of solids! I'm planning to go as long as we're both happy doing it, but I think I'm okay if that happens sooner rather than later.
For those of you still trying to find sippy cups your LOs like, have you tried straw cups? Did the trick for both my boys. My A14 was drinking from a straw cup by 9 months. The trick to get them used to a straw before giving them that type of cup. My older son didn't figure out sippies until he was about 18 months, and my A14 still doesn't get it.
Talltrees82 - I have the same addiction to Amazon lately! I recently joined prime and started taking advantage of amazon mom for diapers and the subscribe and save....and I have been ordering stuff for Easter and DD's birthday. Some one please make me stop! I have a problem lol!
Any other breastfeeding Mommas out there? Still going strong here with BF'ing 5 times a day and solids in between. If you are still BF'ing...what does your near future look like as our littles approach their first birthday?
We're still BFing 4-5 times per day. I'm really not sure exactly how I'm gonna wean him, but I'm planning on starting soon. I do want to keep the night feeding for a while longer though...I like the nightly cuddles
@Talltrees82 - love that Avent cup! It's great to transition to a regular cup without full-on spills. I haven't tried it with my A14 yet since I really don't want to deal with the mess (it's messier than a sippy or a straw), but maybe soon.
Poor LO totally face planted off a structure about 1 foot high the other day. He scraped his nose pretty badly. It was at a play gym and he crawled right up onto this thing and then right down the other side in the blink of an eye
Then last night he came down with a fever and is not feeling well. Poor guy. I've been forcing Tylenol on him and polysporin on his nose. He hates both and is not happy!
It's crazy to me how fast it's gone. I'm a little sad we won't be doing a party. We're in a self imposed semi isolation because I'm paranoid about her getting sick before her surgery....
In two weeks I will have a one year old. So surreal!
Me too! It hit me yesterday and I have been kind of freaking out! How in the world has this year gone by so quickly?! I'm so excited to be finding out more and more about who this little guy is, but it's also terrifying to see him grow and change so quickly!
DH and I were just test driving a new car (Honda pilot in case you have any recommendations one way or another) and as soon as we pull back in the dealership LO starts puking all over!! Luckily DH test drove it first while I was in the back with LO then we switched so she was with him when she puked. She always tends to get her bodily fluids on him instead of me
Sorry about the puke, @sherks. But, we bought a Pilot 3 weeks ago and LOVE it. I seriously can imagine driving it for the next 10+ years and not getting tired of it. Gas mileage is a real change from my little Nissan Versa, but it's good for the size car it is. Good luck with your decision!
@sherks11 - oh yikes! Of course she puked in the car that isn't yours did it get on the car? DH always gets the puke around here too. He was just reminding me last night of a major exorcist puke session at a restaurant with our oldest. He had to leave without a shirt. It wasn't the first time he's left somewhere without a shirt due to kid body fluids

Funny enough I was actually just coming in here to say I was going to start a thread for them. The idea is to add advice and tidbits and mom hacks and really anything you can think of that you wish someone had told you about post delivery or life with a newborn or anything like that. Plus words of encouragement.
Luckily nothing got in the dealerships' car, it all got on DH! It's a good thing he is a PE teacher and coach so he has an entire wardrobe in his car! We are in the process of buying the pilot now... I love it and it will be awesome for our Florida road trips every summer. Now our families are bugging us to fill it (LO is our first and this is a 3 row vehicle)
We were at the dealership for almost 6 hours. Hadn't meant to buy that day, but fell in love. Thankfully I had brought the stroller and some food pouches and LO was a champ. Would have been a much better plan to do what you guys did! Congrats!
So LO has now had a fever since Thursday. He woke up from a long nap today and it seemed gone, but he had a low fever again by bedtime. He's a little cranky, but otherwise no other symptoms. It's been on the high side at points, but not consistently. Would you take him to the Dr at this point?

I'd probably call the office and speak to a nurse. The nurses at our office are pretty great about advising me on whether or not to come in and never make me feel crazy for calling. I tend to be a better safe than sorry kinda gal.
@yellowflower15 I would definitely call the dr on Monday morning if your LO still has a fever and tell them the symptoms. I would rather call and let he dr make the decision if you need to go in or not. I hope he feels better soon!
@yellowflower15 I agree to call! I always do if I'm unsure and the nurses are great. Hopefully it's nothing, but day 4 of a fever I'd be concerned too.
Thanks ladies! I am not normally quick to go to the Dr - I hate to just be told that's it's a virus and just let it run it's course... But three days straight of fever was starting to make me wonder. But, the fever seems to have finally broken, so I think we're good. Thanks so much for your input!
I'm having a frustrating morning full of first world problems... My sims game keeps freezing, the roller coaster tycoon app sucks, the shirt I wanted to order online is sold out in my size, it's -10c outside and I'm sick of it. Is it too early for wine? At least I have wine!
Lo's sleep has been totally wackos for the past couple of days. Only one nap yesterday and up super early this am. I managed to get her back to sleep. We will see how today goes. I wonder if those top teeth are coming but no bumps or anything...
@talltrees82 It's never too early for wine. Especially if it's white with a splash of juice
As for FWP I am about to throw a shoe at my stupid 'smart' tv. We got rid of cable but now it freezes up constantly and has to reload my hulu shows every 15 seconds. I'm going insane!
On a side note, LO has been blowing up 'n' today. Nananana all over the place! We now have b, p, m, d, k, g, and n! This speechie is pleased as punch!

Found the thread!
ETA Looks like the majority of it was erased when the ladies had their accounts deleted. Too bad, it was entertaining!
