Re: RTT 2.0

  • smushi Thanks! Hope the shots work for your LO! Its no fun having sick LO's and even worse when you can't really do anything to help and it just lasts forever!

I am sick of winter, sick of sub zero weather, sick of snow, sick of the wind chill, sick of no sunlight, sick of being cooped up inside...sick of sickness Raaah!

  • Does anyone have Amazon prime/mom. The discounts confuse me.
  • The confuse me too
  • Way weird. DD just had a breast milk poop..except she hasn't had breast milk in 2 months.

  • Little dude will not go to sleep! I'm going nuts. This is usually the easy part. Here's hoping this means that once he does go down, he sleeps well for the rest of the night.
  • I love the ghost threads. They make me laugh so hard. I wish all the regs would come back!

Also, I'm watching Princess Bride for the second night in a row. It's on tv.

  • Love the ghost threads too! Very entertaining. Too bad a lot of the original posts have disappeared. But still good for a laugh!

Sending healthy wishes to all the sick babies and hoping everyone gets a good nights sleep!
  • Sorry for all the sick little babies! We're dealing with a cold and teething right now, so I feel for you.

I also think I would be going insane if I lived up north. I don't know how you ladies are managing! We have had two weeks of cold, windy weather and no sun down here in Texas and I hate it! Thankfully i'm sure it'll be 95* here next month :P
  • It's supposed to snow tomorrow. What sort of swear words am I allowed to use on the Bump now? F@*$%#^@!
  • @emilyann64 can we all come stay with you for a month or two? ;)
  • @Talltrees82 yes! That would great! We could work on our tans :P
  • We facetimed DHs family last night. They all commented on how great he looked and how much weight he lost. I'm the one on weight watchers and not one peep about me! Not fair how easy men lose weight.
  • @lilac02 that sucks that they didn't say anything about you. I bet you look great! My husband can lose weight and build muscle so fast it drives me crazy. Good for you for doing something healthy :)

This drives me nuts too! DH is a wrestler and can loose 20 pounds in a week no problem. That would take me FOREVER! Also I just got in the scale the other day and I'm 12 pounds lighter than when I actually got pregnant. Might be because I just had the flu but I'm still taking it as a win

I have a savings account not attached to my bank accounts to keep me from spending the money. I have to email a guy to get my money out (it's a legit investment company, not to worry).

So I'm short this month for groceries so I email to have money transferred to my regular bank account, and usually it's in there within a day or so. Well it's been over a week and no money. I had to email the guy again and he said he'd "look into it". What the eff?! It's really stressing me out that I can't access my own money and I can't buy groceries, to the point that I'm considering closing that account. Fukc!

ETA: as soon as I posted that, got an email that it will be there by the end of the week! Phew.
  • That would be stressful @Talltrees82 ! Glad it got sorted!
  • So it took me three hours to get to work today! I was on time and the train into the city was on time. However, the train service in the city was delayed. I waited outside almost 45 minutes and gave up and took a cab. I hated to spend the money but I still can't feel my fingers and toes!

I sent my boss an email that read "I am on time. However, public transportation is not. So I'll be in late."
  • I am sick of being hungry all the time and fat! DD will be one at the end of the month and I feel like I still look 5-6 months pregnant, ugh. I was within 4 pounds of pre-pregnancy weight then when I quit pumping a month ago I gained 5-6  pounds back immediately. PP I was very fit (not super skinny but healthy and felt good at a size 10) and had muscle definition so being 5-10 pounds heavier now looks even bigger as its pudge! I try to watch what I am eating, but I am still hungry all the time. I work out on my lunch break for 30-40 minutes every day since August and I am sick of feeling uncomfortable in my own skin.

I know pregnancy changes your body, heck I had my DS just 3 years ago and was actually happy with my body before gettign pregnant again. I just feel like this time it is taking so much longer and is so much harder not only to lose the weight but get back in shape and not have such a belly budge. :(
  • @lolax2 I totally understand your frustration and I'm sorry you're feeling this way. I'm 15lbs over pre-pregnancy and it's not going anywhere fast. When I got pregnant I was 10lbs heavier than I wanted to be! I finally got real with myself and got rid of a garbage bag of summer clothes that will most likely never fit me again.
  • I'm 15 lbs over pre pregnancy weight too. The worst part is that post pregnancy I was 10 lbs less than pre pregnancy. So basically I gained 25 lbs. It really really sucks

  • DH is stuck working late again. Which sucks for him. But it also sucks for me because he was supposed to hang out with LO from 5-7 so I could get some work done before my brain craps out for the night as a result of being up dealing with teething pain for the last several nights. Looks like my brain is just gonna have to suck it up and work later. Blergh.
  • I'm a couple of lbs under what I was pre-pregnancy. This would be great except my overall body structure changed. My boobs are three cup sizes bigger and my hips are permanently wider. I went up a pants size just be of my hips!

That sucks...I hope you and your brain get some rest soon!

  • DD has been perfectly silent for 15 minutes now...i was a little worried because silent children means they are up to no good. Turns out she was just playing with piece of lint...nothing dire lol

  • Guys...I used to think I would take a cold over a tummy bug, but now I'm not so sure. Caroline has a hard time even drinking her bottle or nursing because she's so stuffy. Please let this be over soon!
  • Man, its nice to wake up to a smiling baby who slept pretty well (one wake up and it was before 10pm). It happens so rarely around here it has turned a normal Wednesday morning into something akin to Christmas!

@emilyann64 --I hope your LO finds some relief soon!
  • emilyann64 I feel for you. We are dealing with the same thing, poor LO is so stuffed up that she keeps coking and sputtering on her bottle then has a coughing fit and cries then doesn't want anymore :( It stinks having sick babies!

  • The high here today is in the 60's, and the high tomorrow is in the 20's. No wonder everyone is sick! Come.On.Spring!
  • We are having a heat wave today at a balmy 30 degrees!
  • Thanks @LolaX2 and @Sporty1216 Hopefully these guys get better soon!

Same here! I'm about to put my bathing suit on and lay in a snowbank to work on my tan!
OK. So really I'm going to go shovel and see if I can find the wood of the porch again

  • I am struggling today! So sick of snowsuits, fighting the stroller through the snow, salt being tracked all over the house. Seriously it took us longer to get ready to walk the dog than we were actually out walking the dog. I quit winter.
  • Whoever recommended pots and spoons for LO to play with while cooking in the kitchen - THANK YOU!!! Kept LO busy and happy the the whole time I cooked dinner!!

Do you actually manage to walk the dog and wheel a stroller by yourself? I tried it once and it didn't go over so well...my dog is just too big and willful (in spite of training)

  • Thought provoking question of the day: when a rapper uses the term "project bitch", is he referring to a women who lives in the projects, or a women who IS a project? :-?
  • Most likely a bitch who lives in the projects

  • So excited! We had two contractors come over to give us an estimate on finishing the basement! Things are moving. I think it's going to be more than we originally thought, but it will be worth it.

I do. She's a 30lb border collie, so she needs the exercise but is small enough that I can rein her in if I need to. Sometimes I have to get pretty strict with her while we're out. I've had the leash get wrapped in the wheel when she gets excited about something.

My first thought was that he was referring to his personal assistant!
  • Where the heck does one buy prune juice or pear juice? I can't seem to find it!
