Scott is my dad's name and dhs grandfather who passed away a couple years ago

@Karissa764 My DDs name is Skyler Rae! Slight spelling change to yours. Haven't come up with any names for the new baby yet.

I adore Huck.  I don't care for Rowdy.

My sister just named her new girl Cali (pronounced Callie).

I love that name, it's sweet and simple.

Her first daughter is named Capri.

  • I know the baby name board might be the place to ask this, but I don't know them and I feel like I know some of you, haha. We have mostly settled on Parker if we have a boy. I was originally thinking Scott for a mn (my DH's mn), but would love to honor my grandfather who passed away this summer and his name was Gordon Joseph.

So... basically I'm asking for an opinion on: Parker Scott vs Parker Joseph vs Parker Gordon

Also, I'm sure I've posted this part already, but if we have a girl she'll be Brooklyn Mae (Brooklyn for a song MH and I loved when we were first falling in love and Mae was my great grandmother's middle name).

  • We'll never tell!!!! muahaha!  jj

We're team Green, so we want to be ready for a boy or a girl.

Girl:  Ellianna Rose or Lailey Grace

Boy:  Miles, Gavin, Quentin, Everett, Archer, Landon, Lincoln, Liam, Jackson, Emerson or Holden  (HELP!)

We picked the girl's names in about 10 minutes, but we are totally lost on the boy's names.  If we have a boy the middle name will be Shiraz (after my husband's father and my husband's middle name.)

Any one love or hate any of these boy's names or have other suggestions that are similar.  We don't really want names that will result in multiples in school.

I like Parker Joseph.  You could nickname him PJ or "Peej".

Liam is #2 in the US for 2013, so definitely don't go with that if you don't want multiples in his classes at school. Gavin is also in the top 50. Most of the rest of your list are last names, and I don't like last names as first names at all, so . . . I say go with Miles! Or start over! Good luck!

I agree, I love Parker Joseph. We were also going to use my late grandfather's mn if we had a boy and I think it's such a nice way to honor a loved one.

  • Girl: Clara Belle
    Cheyenne (no mn yet)
Boy: Bentlee Hadden (mn from DH grandad who passed away a in 2011)

We already have 2 girls ( Brealyn Kaeli and Avery Leelyn) and I'm pretty sure this one is a girl as well. DH loves Clara Belle for a girl but I'm not to sure on it. But we do both agree on Cheyenne. The boy name has been set since before we got married.

ClaraBelle is the cow in Disney Cartoons. Not sure you realized this.

  • We have Arkhum/Uriel for a boy and Harper/Remiel for a girl. I know Arkhum is different but DH and i both have really common names so we want something unique but not made up sounding.

Yes. I know. Luckily we decided on Cheyenne Hattie for a girl name.
  • We are team green but we have a set boy name and a set girl name. We have honored at least one family member with each kiddo. DD is Hailey Ann (Ann was my maternal grandma's middle name) DS Ethan Robert (Robert is for both of my grandpa's plus a few members from my husband's side). Lucy Rose for a girl (Lucy was my paternal grandma's name and Rose is from my husbands side it was his great grandmas middle name) and Logan Marshall for a boy (Marshall is my husband's middle name and was his grandpa's middle name).
  • I had middle names picked that were baby's grandparent's names.... but now I am not sure. Either baby has to have 2 middle names, or I leave someone out. And not sure if DH and I are having another, since this is 3 for him, 1st for me...

    We were thinking:

    Girl:
Emma or Elizabeth with middle names Joan Anne (grandmother's names)

    Boy:
    Benjamin Javier Asher

Not so sure about double mns....

And I LOVE Benjamin Nathaniel....and thinking about Faith as a middle name if a girl.

Will have to see if DH is ok not using any family names....

  • Its a girl and her name is Aaliyah Grace... which I love because it has 2 "A"s in the beginning like my son Aaron!
  • Girl: Hadley and not sure MN (Lucille, Ann, Marie, or Lynn all after family)

Boy: deciding between Hudson and Finn. MN (Aaron or Douglas after family)
  • We've started narrowing our list down but can't yet both agree on THE name.

    Tyler Bernard
    Chase Bernard
    Deacon Bernard
    Zack Bernard
    Hunter Bernard

I wrote out a list to see what it felt like to write them and then taped the list to the kitchen cabinets so we can look at it every day. :)

  • DS wants to name the baby Raff after the ninja turtles and he is pretty sure the baby is a boy. DD keeps saying "no baby!" :)

    Our favorite names are:

Girl: Charlotte Jane or Juniper Ione

Boy: Brooks Legend (my hubs loves legend as a middle name, I don't get it but I don't hate it either)

For a girl, at the moment, we like Olivia or Bailey. For a boy, I am still trying to convince DH to love Jack! :)

We had just got a puppy and named him Jack when we found out we were having a boy. Otherwise our Oslo would have been a Jack, too. It's such great little boy name!

  • Christian Anthony Allen. Middle names after SO. I'm carribean...and we do 2 middle names.
  • We can't decide on a boy name but have girl picked out.

    Caleb
    Kyle
    Parker

Those are in the running now- would like to use Cole or Lee as middle name. Our last name is one syllable.
  • So far I'm loving Max for a boy
And Brielle for a girl but nothing is set yet. I am so indecisive and dh says he needs to see baby first.
My other choices are Emmett or Colton for boy and Payton or Scarlett for a girl.

  • We've named our little guy Kingston Roy
  • We're still in the early stages with names, but my favourite so far is Rohan. It sounds good with DHs surname, is fairly easy to pronounce and spell and I like that it's a valid name in either of our cultures (DH is Indian, I'm Irish). I do worry about the Lord of the Rings connection though.

If we were having a girl we'd probably go with Anjali - it was DHs mothers middle name. I also like the name Maya.

Not sure we'll bother with a middle name - it's hard enough coming up with a first name, and DH has a pretty uncommon surname (it's really a first name, when his parents got married there was a paperwork snafu and it was easier for the family to take his dad's first name as a surname).

@leightrain‌ I love most of your male choices! Before we found out we were having a girl, we had several of these on our list. We wanted Archie, and were going to use either Archer or Archimedes as the full name. Miles, Liam and Jackson are a little too popular for my taste but the others are so nice and traditional sounding while still being unique.

Personally we are struggling with a girls name but a few we've considered are Nina, Elyse and Ramona.

Unfortunately all my female heroes have names we don't like because they are too "old": Ruth (Bader Ginsburg), Helen (Keller) etc. My husband vetoed June and Pearl.

We definitely want an easy to spell first name as our last name can be tricky.

  • I have a bunch of boy names picked out but...we're having a girl! We have never been able to settle on a girl name.
DH wanted to name her Stella after his grandma, who he never knew and apparently was quite racist. I don't like it.
The only girl name we have agreed on so far is Lizelle Jean (my mom's mn).

DS is Brandon (after my brother who passed away when I was 11) Joe (DH's middle name).

  • I'm having a girl :) Trying to decide between: Jovi, Riley, Ava, or Jolie.
  • We are having boy/girl twins.

Julian and Naomi, Annika or Tess.

We are not Scandinavian, does Annika sounds too Scandinavian? I'm British and H is Portuguese.
  • We're having a girl and have been set on Olivia May since before we even found out I was pregnant - Olivia for the song "Something Like Olivia"by John Mayer and May because we started dating in May of our junior year of high school.

We hadn't settled on a boy's name yet - we basically decided that for a boy we'd name him when he was born because we kept going back and forth between a few. Middle name would definitely have been Joseph for DH's brother, but for the first name we were going back and forth between Ryan, Andrew (for my dad and Andrew McCutchen - we're big Pittsburgh fans), and Michael (for DH's best friend from high school).

I think Annika definitely sounds Scandinavian, but I don't think that means you shouldn't name her that. If you love it, go for it!

  • Boy: Aiden Xavier
    Aiden means "little fire"
  • We are having a baby girl, and her name is 'Aria Rose'
  • Our little girl will be Liana Marie
    (joining big brother Levi)
  • We are pretty set on Tenley Faye! It's the only name we've agreed on. I also like Delaney, Lyla, and Diem. DH wasn't sold on any of those though! My 3 year old son is Seth Patrick.
  • Our baby love will be named Camila Michelle...my oldest daughter is a leukemia survivor and Camila was her best friend through treatment and she passed last January. Sweetest little girl  & Hubby and I both have a sister named Michelle.
  • We're naming our son Davon (pronounced like Gavin with a D) Sawyer. Same first name and initials as his daddy. He will be called Sawyer though.
