We're naming our son Davon (pronounced like Gavin with a D) Sawyer. Same first name and initials as his daddy. He will be called Sawyer though.
Very cute name...not that you're asking for any comments, but since we're in a forum I'll just give you some food for thought. I also "go by my middle name" and honestly, it's a nightmare. LOVE my name, but it can be confusing for others. I got made fun of (a lot) as a kid, especially on the first day of school. Government, doctor's office, HR, airlines, etc..can never get it right. (Insurance claims frequently get denied the first time around and my medical records get "lost" all the time.) Love how your little ones initials will be just like daddy's...very sweet. Just encouraging you to have a clear plan how you will help your kiddo avoid naming issues of "going by" another name.
@kbbtah That was a concern of mine, as well. My husband doesn't go by his first name either. When I asked him if it ever bothered him, he said it really wasn't that big of a deal for him and it eventually became a funny thing when the doctor called him "DeVaughn". I will definitely take that into consideration, as Sawyer may not be as laid back as his dad is.
Im having a baby girl, we've been through countless name's and finally decided to name our daughter "Jordyn Star". I absolutely Love it..perfect and unisex!
Husband and I are undecided on a first name for our Baby Girl. Middle name is going to be Ann (mine & my mom's). Plus my husband hates naming things...including pets. He had a cat named Kitty once so he is barely any help!
Josephine, Alexandra, Lincoln, and Caterina.
Josephine & Alexandra because I've always loved it, Lincoln because he's my fav president & Caterina was my great grandmothers name. Basically I'm throwing stuff out & he's commenting! Which I guess works.

Why is unisex a good quality for a name? I truly believe that it is your right to choose a name for your child but I really don't get this philosophy.
My DH didn't want to talk about names until we found out the sex. And after that he said NO to every name in my list. I did a summary of 10 from my list:
Alexia Alicia Aurora Cora Daphne Fiona Julia Matilda Olivia Vivian
At the end we agreed on Cecilia but that was tough....
