I've not seen one of these posts in a long time, so figured I'd post one to see what you ladies are having or had for dinner tonight.
Talking with my mom last night I mentioned how badly I wanted chicken and dumplings, so that is what I'm making now!
Re: WFD (What's for dinner?)
Would you be willing to share the recipe for that? It does sound good and Im always looking for new stuff to add to my rotation.
I like mine cheesey, so tonight I used extra cheese since my husband is out ofl town, but when I make it for him I use double the meat. It's a rough recipe cuz I altered my mom's recipe and I really don't measure anything....
1 lb buffalo
2 cloves garlic
28oz tomato sauce
6oz tomato paste
16oz cottage cheese (or ricotta)
16oz mozzarella
2 eggs
1/4 tsp pepper
1tbsp parsley
1 1/2 tsp oregano
1 1/2tsp basil
1/4 cup parmesan
Lasagna noodles (approx. 8 noodles depending on pan size)
In a large pot mix tomato sauce, tomato paste, basil, pepper, basil, and the cooked buffalo and garlic. Let simmer. (I simmer it in my crock pot 4-6hours usually, it allows the flavors from the fresh basil to extract into the sauce)
Then boil your noodles and drain them.
Mix the cottage cheese, eggs, parmesan, parsley and oregano in a bowl.
Layer the lasagna: I do sauce, noodles, sauce, cheese mixture, mozz, noodles, sauce, cheese mixture... etc.
Bake at 375 for 45 minutes!!! It'll feed a small family. It feeds my husband and I for almost a week!!
Hope it serves you well
Pancakes, eggs, sausage and toast.
God he knows the way to my heart
Tomorrow night we are going to be having beef stew.
I have my 3 hour test on the 11th, so I'm so not excited about that, lol.
Lol! We have Girl Scout cookies galore and I love chocolate but this baby only wants fruit cups! My husband offered me cookies and I was like nope I want a fruit cup! He looked at me like I sprouted 2 heads for passing up chocolate! Haha!
Girl Scout cookies are also my weakness...especially the chocolate peanut butter patties...omg. I need some.

Yeah that's why my DH was so surprised! I love chocolate and GS cookies! We have all my favorites! The peanut butter patties, the thin mints, chocolate covered short bread and the caramel delight things. ( can't remember all the names of them) I have only had one since we got them. It's crazy because most everything I like this kid hates! I love fruit so it's great we are at least on the same page there! Lol My first born hates chocolate! I was like there is no way I gave birth to you ! Hahahahha! I guess this little LO might be the same way...... Either that or she will be a chocoholic! Haha
I noticed too that a lot of things that I like this LO doesn't seem to like. It was really bad with the first 17 weeks. I love sour cream and I tried to have nachos from taco bell with sour cream (my guilty pleasure) and I ended up throwing it up. I was so bummed. I also couldn't tolerate mayo which I love as well...chicken was another thing on my no fly list. Its weird because those are all things that DH really hates. I told him one day that there is no denying that its his child because she hates everything he does. Its getting better now though...I can eat all of those things again except mayo.
Have you noticed that you like things that you used to not like? This happened with me with mustard. I used to be a mayo girl for sandwiches and hated mustard, but now I love it. I also like BBQ and hated that before.
So funny that your kiddo doesn't like chocolate...I thought everyone did! Maybe the taste buds will change later in life...I know mine did from when I was younger. For your sake I hope not though because that is more chocolate for you, lol!
LOL! Sounds like I need to come to your house. I've not been out enough to find any girl scouts to buy cookies from. I've actually read that now you can buy them online which scares me lol...I'd be so broke if I knew how to do all of that.

Yeah this LO tends to like the same things as my DH! I pretty much like everything except tend to stay away from really spicy foods but she likes them apparently. So does my DH. I also don't like chips or popcorn that much but LO loves popcorn ( like her daddy) and Cheetos?? I would normally not eat Cheetos especially. Haha! I knew I was having a girl right away but from the food cravings and such I almost think they have it wrong! I had 2 sonogram techs tell me girl and I saw it plain as day but when I have my 3D/4D done in a few weeks I am confirming sex again to make sure I am not losing my mind! Haha! I wanted sweet stuff all the time with my other 2 girls but not with this one! Unless of course it's fruit! Haha
When we did our ultrasound and had the 3D pictures printed off...I swear she looks like him already and I wanted to cry. DH is attractive, but I wanted her to look like me, lol. So not only does she like what he likes apparently, but she also looks like him.
I've heard of women knowing what they were having based off of food cravings...if I'm ever fortunate enough to have another child I hope its a boy so I can see what the differences in the pregnancies are.
Also, its neat that you're getting the 3D/4D ultrasound...I'm heavily leaning towards doing it too because it would be something really neat for my Dads birthday present...hes so thrilled about the baby and they give you pictures, DVD, and a stuffed animal with the babies heart beat recorded in it. My dad isn't a stuffed animal person, but I'd keep that. :P
I am super excited about my 3D/4D sonogram. I had a lot of sonograms with the others but only 3 with this one. 10 weeks, 23 weeks and they did echocardiogram ( I didn't get any pics from that one) on the baby. I also had 3Ds with the others except my first 2 children but they didn't offer them 16yrs ago! lol So I feel like since I have more pics of the others and had the 3D with the others it's only fair to follow suite with this on as well:)
It's nuts though because she has pretty much followed the normal pattern as her sisters with the exception of food!
Don't feel bad about LO looking like her dad! I completely understand. If you look at my first DD it's look like I had no part in her! She is fair skinned, strawberry blonde and green eyes like her dad! I am the complete opposite with dark hair, dark eyes and slightly olive skin. I have always heard that the 1st looks like dad, 2nd like mom, 3rd like both. So far true for us! DD #1 more like her dad, DD #2 more like me, DS like both of us. Makes me wonder what this LO will look like!
Second was my NT scan...so neat seeing that she actually looked like a baby by then. Third of course was our anatomy scan.
I really am not sure if I get another one before shes born...do you know? I've heard of people getting them really late in pregnancy to see the position of the baby, but I'm not sure if it was just her or if all moms get another one.
I really do want to get a 3D one because since I'm not sure if I'll have another child after her I sort of want to do everything that I can. What all do they do for the elective one? I know they give you a bunch of stuff, but is it just getting to see what your baby is up to?
