I'm 36, will just turn 37 around due date. I have a 4 yo and 2 yo. I don't feel old at all. I think I might actually be one of the younger moms at my sons preschool. But, this will be our last one. Probably.
I'll be 41 when my baby is born. I have an 8 year old daughter now. I have my 1st appt in about 2 weeks. I'm a bit scared too at how different this pregnancy might be compared with my first because of my age. I had a wonderfully healthy and boring 1st pregnancy--thank goodness. I can only hope this one will be similar. I'm 5 wks 4 days.
I'll be 40 when our baby comes, and I have an almost 8yo daughter too (next month)! My first pregnancy was great and I'm much more tired and nauseas with this one already. I hope your pregnancy continues to be healthy and uneventful! :-)
@jheni thanks! I am more tired too, but not nauseous yet. I had practically no morning sickness during my 1st time around, so hopefully that will continue. Now that I've typed that, I'll be sick all day tomorrow. Lol! I wish you another uneventful and boring pregnancy as well!!!!
It's funny -- I live in San Francisco, and so many women here wait to have their kids until their late 30's or early 40's, that I don't feel old at all, being pregnant for the first time at 34! In fact, I'm so used to all my friends and acquaintances starting their families around this age that it's actually a bit shocking for me to hear about someone I know getting pregnant in her 20's. It seems so young to be a mom! Lol, it's funny how our contexts determine what seems normal or odd to us! At any rate, I'm super happy to be a FTM at this age! I finally feel like I'm ready -- financially, emotionally, and otherwise!
37 & this will be my 3rd. I have a 3.5yr old & a 9mo old. They wear me out so I'm triple exhausted this time around! We waited so long to have kids and then I ended up being primary caregiver for my dying mom when my 1st was 1. I would have liked to space those two closer together but life had other plans. So now we're trying to make up for lost time.
I'm 38 and will be 39 when I give birth. This is my first child and I am scared and elated at the same time. God must have faith in me and know I can raise a baby at this age!
I am 35 will be 36 in March.i have a 14 year old daughter so basically it feels like starting all over again. I find it funny when everyone around me mainly my doctors say wow your pushing its like um are you joking I'm 35 not 95 wow.i guess they are very small minded .oh well its my body. This baby was planned I'm hoping it sticks this time.
I'm 35 and this is my first baby. I have a 13 yo step-daughter. It would never occur to me that we'd be thought of as the grandparents! Lol. I'm really glad we waited until now. All of our friends are having #1 or #2 right now as well.
34 here, but in pregnancy years I guess that is close enough haha. It is my second pregnancy and we have decided that two children are a perfect fit for us. I will say that my pregnancy six years ago didn't have me this tired. I'm hoping that is just because of this particularly pregnancy, NOT because I'm 34 haha. Good luck to all!
I'm 40 and will be 41 when LO arrives. It is funny to read all the talk about people assuming we are grandparents because when my 16 year old was born I used to get all these dirty looks and whispering because I looked like a teen mom...although I was 25. I also have an 8 almost 9 year old. Yes...this one was planned!
I am 40 and pregnant with my 2nd. I was pregnant the 1st time at 38 and had DS at 39. I also lived in San Francisco where being older is the norm. I now live in the south and I feel old! I try not to think about how old I will be when my children hit certain ages. I wanted to have kids at a younger age but it wasn't in the cards. I finally found my love later in life.
Mama of boys, Landon (Jan 14) and Harrison (Aug 15).
