i'm realizing how much having celiacs is saving me from eating sooo muuuch junk. Deep fried foods? nope. Cookies/crackers/poptarts/cupcakes/muffins/etc etc etc? they take way more effort to seek out GF.
And yet... GF cinnamon rolls have found their way to my kitchen. And I feel the need to find some spaghettios I can eat. Or maybe I'll just have DH make us spaghetti tomorrow night. We do have homemade marinara from our garden tomatoes...
I just absent mindedly ate half a box of mint chocolate cookies on my way to the doctors to do my glucose test. Ahhh shit now I've done it.
Lol, I'm sorry but that made me laugh! I was talking myself out of eating cookies the night before and this morning before my test. But I just finished the cookies my daughter made = mom guilt. There were only 2 left, I wish there were more!!! I'm like the Cookie Monster up in this house.
But everyday I make my vitamix shake with tons of spinach, fruits, vegetables, chia seeds, and low sugar protein. So I feel that I'm allowed to have as many cookies as I want, like twice a week
Everything? However, with the exception of one chocolate chip pancakes craving this summer, I haven't had any cravings. I definetly indulging more than usual but the rest is pretty normal.
Me. Every day. Must have peanut butter. This child is going to come out as a PB&J sandwich, I swear. My newest obsession is Breyer's Chocolate Recess Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream. I'm eating some now. They also have one that is peanut butter ice cream, not chocolate. But I've had this chocolate/peanut butter (with optional banana) obsession for over a year now.

Any sort of breakfast food. I'm loving a couple of over easy eggs over a few pancakes. Break that yoke, add some syrup and yuuuuum. I guess I know what I'm making tomorrow morning.
@kbduke I had my first apple cider last weekend. Sooooo good!
Eta I'm a little disappointed because we ordered a veggie pizza for dinner, which I was very excited about. Got it home and it's a pepperoni with spinach and *I think* balsamic reduction drizzled on top. I mean, Ima eat it, but it's not what I wanted.
@phoenix870509 Today alone I put pb&j in my oatmeal this morning, made a pb&j for a snack, and for another snack I had apples and peanut butter. Not to mention my lunch leftovers had crushed up peanuts in them.
I'm jealous of everyone's food. I barely have the desire to eat and almost never feel hungry. I make myself eat of course but I feel like, aside from breakfast, I could go all day without food.
I have these impulsive, fleeting cravings that I almost never act on because they're so random and then gone in a few minutes. But I can be on the couch and suddenly my brain will give me a fake whiff of a warm pretzel and I will look up and go, "I need a pretzel!" or like last night I was about to go to bed and out of the blue I wanted cold cake so much I could taste it. "Need cake!"
And then the moment passes and I move on but there's often no provocation and the mood passes just as quickly as it comes. I'm thankful for this of course, because none of these random cravings are healthy in the least. I do find myself bemused with them though.
I HAD to have Chinese last night. I don't even normally like it but it was CRITICAL and delicious. The veggie rolls rocked my world omg.
Also sunbutter toast. It's my breakfast almost every morning.
And apples with a sprinkle of salt.
And smoothies. I made one the other morning with frozen mango, frozen pineapple, a fresh banana, some peanut butter, & apple juice. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing it was.
Kobe beef burgers with fries.
Cold pasta salad.
I hope to go to a place for lunch today that has a fabulous avocado and pimento cheese sandwich that I can't wait to devour. With a side of sweet potato fries.
Ice cream sandwiches.
Sauteed spinach and MUSHROOMS. I have been on a major mushroom kick. We went to dinner this week and it was a mushroom and cheese quesadilla all the way baby. SLURP.
Last night had a hot chocolate craving. Knew I couldn't drink the whole thing and DH didn't want any so I didn't make it. Just woke up from my "nap" and you better believe my next stop is the kitchen for hot cocoa. 90 degree weather be damned!

Holy apples, Batman! DH was in Eastern WA for work this week, his parents live over there so he stopped by. FIL works for a fruit co (agriculture is huge out there), and gave DH 3 giant bags of freshly picked apples!!! Honey crisp, Fuji, and Gala! WA is #1 producer of apples in the country, and they are SO good when fresh!!! I ate 2 last night, and 2 this morning.
@yellingbanana - those look so good and make me want to get a little forrest gump: Applesauce, apple pie, apple fritters, baked apples, apple chips, apple strudel, apple bread, apple muffins, apple butter..
For lunch, I had the most perfectly prepared Whopper with cheese ever. I don't know if it was actually the most delicious Whopper ever, or if it just happened to hit just the right craving at just the right moment, but I was in awe of how amazing it tasted.
Found guava ice cream at a Philippino market/restaurant today. Was super excited cause I love guava stuff. Such a disappointment. Weird texture. Tasted like nothing. Such a let down
I forgot to mention Waffle House. We go every Sunday morning now. I'm obsessed. I get the Allstar with eggs, plain hash browns, and bacon and eat EVERY SINGLE BITE Y'ALL.
Apple cake is one of my favorite fall treats. I'm thinking I have to make one next weekend now.
@tinattt23 I had never had guava before, but the house we just moved out of had a guava tree and they were ready just before we moved. So good! Guava ice cream sounds heavenly (if it was good of course lol).
Chocolate. Like... All of it. Hide yours or I may find it! Just totally raided the candy aisle at the grocery store. Every time DH started pushing the cart to the next aisle I would grab another bag/bar of chocolate gold and he would stop and look at me like "really?" It's weird to me since I wasn't a huge chocolate fan before, or even during this pregnancy so far. It just hit me this weekend.

All I want is chocolate milk! All the time! I'm going to have it in my cereal tomorrow morning - nutritious frosted mini wheats!

And it's sitting in the refrigerator waiting for me to get home. I can't tell you how excited I am for five o'clock today.
My Monday Bitch Fest might be not having that cheesecake waiting for me when I get home.

@ea301 I made it yesterday and it had to chill overnight. It was killing me not being able to eat it last night.
