These posts have dropped off, but I FINALLY have my first appointment today! WooHoo! It's been so hard to wait, but my OB's office was booked solid when I called to schedule over a month ago. Can't wait to see the little bean and be reassured all is well.

Anyone else still waiting for their first appointment?

Yay I get to be a part of this thread, I am finally be seen by somebody on Friday at 3pm. I am so excited, I will be 11 Weeks by that time and I just want to be reassured that the little Prune or Lime is ok. At this point no one has even looked at me yet, I am anxious to get in there. Good luck with all your appointments this week.

I have an appointment tomorrow at 8 am. It is my 3rd ultrasound but I'm very high risk. I will be 12 weeks 2 days and we will be finding out the gender. I am so excited I can't even stand it. We have two little girls already and although I would not mind a third just as long as we have a healthy baby, a little boy would be a nice addition to the crew

Just got back from my 1st appointment. Baby is healthy, yay, and everything looks wonderful. But baby was measuring at 8 weeks 6 days instead of 10 weeks 3 days based on LMP. Not a big surprise as my cycles are all over the place. But that puts the due date as 9/1. I bet I still have an August baby though.

I had pre-e with my first and was sent home with the urine collection stuff to do a baseline test as a precaution this time around. My chances are 15% that I'll get it again.

Such a relief to finally have heard the heartbeat and see that little flicker. Good luck ladies with your appointments this week. May everyone stay healthy and happy!

We have another ultrasound on Friday. I'll be 13 weeks 4 days then....the initial NT scan didn't work out because the measurement was too small?!?! Just happy to see my Lil booger again :x

I have the NT on Wednesday.

It was supposed to be tomorrow but is cancelled because of this blizzard we are getting on the east coast. I was a little bummed that they cancelled but am glad I could get an appointment the next day... i'm just very excited to see the baby, the heart beat and then I feel like I can start telling more people (i'm 12 weeks)

No scan this week but I have an appt with my midwives on Thursday! I am hoping they do a doplar so I can hear my little pickle.

I will finally get to see my doctor and hear baby's heart beat on Thursday. I will be 12wks then. I've only seen the nurse a couple times up to this point. No ultrasound unless Dr asks for one. But I'm just anxious/excited to know that everything's ok and to tell people!

Went to our midwife appointment today, got to hear the heartbeat but briefly as baby was hard to find..9w6d. Midwife didn't want us to worry so she sent for a u/s. Begged scheduling at our hospital for an appt today and got us in, so relieved baby is alive, well and heartbeat is strong! Baby measured exactly what I thought I was! Congrats to you ladies as well!!

I was supposed to have my first apt tmw. But they called me today and rescheduled for Feb 2nd bc of this stupid blizzard. I'm so upset I have to wait another week, when I've already been waiting 2 weeks already. I'm almost 10 weeks. I'm super scared and nervous. I need to know my little angel is ok. Im a Fi rst time mom n I can't get my nerves to settle down. Just so upset I have to wait another week!

Had my first ultrasound today and everything looks good! Strong heartbeat at 176 bpm. I go back Thursday to see the doc... finally feeling a little more real since we saw our new little one!

Have an extra u/s today. My friend is becoming an obgyn and needs to do them so I get an extra for free (yay!).

So far all three of mine have been internal. Is that normal? This will be my first external.

Depends on how far along you are and your doctor. I had one at 6 weeks and 7 weeks internally but my sister in law had an abdominal one at 7 weeks.

Had my first appointment today. I'm going to the same doctor that I went to with my first and she surprised me with her hand held ultrasound monitor! :-) I actually gotta see this little one before the 20 week anatomy scan!!! :-) I go back in four weeks and get to hear the heart beat!

I had my first ultrasound today

@Lovetangle‌ mine was internal and I'm 11 weeks. Heard the heartbeat too. It was magical! Also made the big Facebook announcement today. We had told family during Christmas. Yay! I'm high risk, so I'll be getting ultrasounds once a month after 20 weeks to make sure development is going properly.
Ladies, make a video on your phone to record the sound of the heartbeat! My SIL did it and I thought it was a great idea! So now I can play it when I want

@Lovetangle. Mine was abdominal and we saw everything just fine. I am 9 weeks, we thought I was 10 weeks.

@pabeybaby Great idea, I so wish I had recorded it. With DD at the first u/s we got a CD with a video and all the pics in addition to print outs. This time we didn't. Disappointed in that!

Had my first ultrasound today. SO relieved and happy to report happy, jumpy baby! 183bpm. Beautiful thing. I'm 10w5days by the measurements and we were able to see (and hear) everything via an abdominal ultrasound. Congrats to all!

12wk4d here. Had our NT screen with US today. Everything is great! And said baby is measuring right where LO should. LO was somersaulting, flopping, waving and rolling on it it's head lol. HB at 143

Just had my first Ultrasound!! I have didn't realize how much pent up emotion I had since for the last two months I've tried to prepare for the worst-I burst into tears when we saw the baby moving and a strong heartbeat. So thankful to have had that moment with my husband

Had our U/S today. LO looking great, moving all over the place! Measuring further along than originally thought, at 11 weeks and 3 days, which gives us a new EDD of 8/16!

Had our first appointment today! It was so incredible! We are due 8/17 and that makes me 11w3d!! Further than I thought! So exciting! Saw the little heartbeat fluttering! So beautiful! I'm pretty speechless and I feel the "glow"

I had my 1st appt. on Tues. Jan. 27th. I was expecting to only talk with the nurse about general health info and to give test samples. The nurse surprised me by asking if I wanted to try hearing the heartbeat with the Doppler. I felt bad that DH wasn't there, but I knew he would rather me be relaxed than stressing another few weeks while we wait for the fancy ultrasound. The nurse found the heartbeat within a couple of minutes and it was 172 BPM. She then surprised me further by offering to do a simple ultrasound with the small machine they have in the office. She got the nurse practitioner to do it we got to see my sweet little baby and watch the heart beat. I am 10wks now. I can't wait until my next appt. and my fancy ultrasound around week 14.

I had my first appointment on 1/26 at 9w6d. I asked the nurse if we could try and find the heart beat(with Doppler) knowing well it was a slim chance. We actually heard it!! It took awhile to find but once she found it, it was pretty clear @ 170! Greatest day of 1st tri!

I had my first ultrasound on Monday and saw the midwife today. She's new and I really liked her but I probably won't see her again... she's usually at the office about 45 minutes away in the next town. But she was so nice and spent about 45 minutes with me explaining everything, even though this is my second baby. I have the first trimester screen next Thursday so I'll get another peek in a week!

I had my NT scan today and was told I need to go back in another two weeks because my chorion and amnion haven't fully fused. I asked the tech what it means if it hasn't fused in the next two weeks and she said "can we talk about that then?". So of course I freaked out and started crying. Did some research and found out it can take up until week 16 to fuse. So I'm just going to think positive and pray the tech got me all riled for nothing.

Another nurse came in and tried with two different doplar machines and couldn't find it. Finally my Dr did a little ultrasound with the machine in my room and found the baby. But baby measured 9.3wks instead of 12 and couldn't hear the heartbeat on the machine, only saw it? I'm feeling very worried and disappointed because with baby #1 my date was moved back 4wks and she was born early and small closer to my first due date. I don't want to go through all the stress wet had with her again. And everything I'd been doing to track my cycle, including bbt, shows I should be at the 12wks. They're going to double check with a better ultrasound next week, assuming they can work it out and squeeze me in. Just bummed things didn't work out how I'd hoped/expected. Although it was nice to see baby on the ultrasound, which they weren't gonna do till 20wks. We got to see baby wiggling around.

If you saw the heartbeat and saw the baby moving around, then that's good, right? Even if you are off by 3 weeks. I went in for my first ultrasound at 9 weeks, and I saw everything like you did. I asked if they were going to use a doppler and they said no becasue we probably wouldn't be able to hear it because it was too early to hear anything. But, becasue we saw it moving (heart and baby), everything was fine. I hope everyhting is ok when you go for your next appointment!

Just had my second NT scan this AM and we finally were able to get the blood work done also. So far everything looks good. Was exciting to see my Lil booger again!

@indsyptnm I pray that everything works out. I know my Dr didn't even try to hear the HB until 11-12 weeks because it wouldn't have been heard. Maybe another week or two and you'll have more definitive answers :x

I had my 11 week appointment (2nd visit) yesterday, and my doctor said everything seems to be normal. I saw the baby move around and heard the heartbeat (it was 157!). They took blood for he Maternit21 testing. I won't get the results for a week, so I'm hoping and praying for good results!

Thanx guys. We did see baby moving and Dr could see the heart. I was able to get my second ultrasound scheduled today and overall am feeling better about things. I know God has it all under control. I just have to keep trusting and praying.
