So, my SIL just had a son about 10 days ago. She admittedly put off picking out baby names and ended up naming him Brecken Daniel just before leaving the hospital.
With so many of us already finding out the sex of our babies and others finding out in just a few weeks, I'm curious who all has their baby names picked out (or options) and who's waiting until their baby is born to name them? Feel free to post the names here if you're dying to share, and ask advice if you can't decide between some. **But please do not be upset if you ask for advice and you don't receive the answer that you want. Just because someone disagrees with you, does not mean they're being rude.** Also, be advised that there is a Baby Names board here on The Bump, if you'd like more opinions.
Happy naming!
Re: Tell us about your baby names!
Ezra Simon if it's a boy.
And Ruby River if it's a girl
I love both names but still somewhat undecided on Ruby's middle name. Looking for some feedback on that one...
My girl choices from pregnancy #1 when we were team green were Claire and Cora. Still like them. LOVED Halle but it does NOT work with our last name.
So this time around, I get dibs on a name - I am supposed to list my favorites and let DH pick from my top choices. Only I have no names picked yet! I don't think I can come up with anything until we know the sex.
Declan is a name that's starting to become pretty popular, according to some baby name web sites. At first I thought I was set on my girl name..lol
For a Girl: J'Niya Nicole, but Ive changed it to Journey/Journee/Journei (not decided on how I want it spelled.
For a Boy: Josiah
My name is Joneka and his name is Joseph, so the JO theme will be perfect to continue
For a boy, the name that I absolutely adore is Jacoby Jude. My husband is not set on Jacoby, but I think it'll grow on him over time.
We have told a few people that if ours is a boy, we will just name it after his father (DH is a II, so most people who know that assume ours will be a III). But I won't tell people our girl name. I'm afraid someone will name their child or a pet the name. I have a lot of friends/family that are pregnant and all are due before me so I'm not risking it!

ETA: quote fail
He likes Brooks and well, I kind of hate it.
If it's a girl, I don't want to give her my middle name because DD already has that and I want them to have different middle names. So we decided to go with DH's grandmas middle name. He was really close with her and she passed away about a year and a half ago. So we decided if it's a girl her name is going to be Laney Jane. It's a little sing-songy but we liked the first name and it flows with the middle name.
Logan Thomas if a boy
Avery Frances if a girl
I would nominate that nurse for Twatwaffle Tiesday! That is horrible!
My husband and I are HUGE SF Giants fans, and they had three Brandon's on the team this year. I guess we just heard the name so much last season that we kind of fell in love with it. So Brandon for a boy...still working on the middle name.
The very night I found out I was pregnant my DH said if it's a boy he'll be named Raymond Douglas, the first name is my DH and FIL name and my DH has always wanted a son named after him and the middle name Douglas would be after my dad who passed in June from brain cancer. I'll be honest, I don't like the name Raymond only because I feel a child should have their own unique name without being under the family title as I call it, three males named Raymond too much.
If it's a girl DH wants to name her Skyler JoAnn (not going to happen, I just don't like the name Skyler) I'm leaning more towards either Everly or Charlotte for a first name, DH wants to use his late mothers name as her middle name, or part of it which is JoAnn. At first I really loved the name Ellie Jo but he told me it sounded too much like a country bumpkin lol , then with all these crazy hormones I came up with Everly Charotte Ann, but DH said two middle names is too much...*que eye roll and exasperated sigh*
