i need advice, I'm 34 weeks 2 days along. This is my 3rd pregnancy, I went into preterm labor at 30 weeks and was able to stop it with medication. I am now have a pretty constant low dull backache, contractions off and on and nausea. I have gestational diabetes and my sugar has been pretty low today even after eating a little rice. Any advice would be great.

Call your doctor. My masters is in education not medicine.

No, I never said that she should not seek medical advice, I said that as a community, we should treat each other in a more compassionate manner. There are better ways to tell someone to seek medical attention than the quoted text above.

Uhm no. She's not seeking general advice. She's seeking medical advice for a medical problem that she is having. Our general advice is that she not waste time on the internet, be a responsible adult, and call her doctor. Just because we don't pat her on the head and coddle her for putting her unborn child's life in danger doesn't mean we're not being compassionate. Actually, I would argue that we are being very compassionate to her child.

And FYI, as someone who works very closely with the medical community, advising people that giving possibly lethal/bad medical advice is okay IS a legal liability to a company.

@bumpadmin, I get the impression that no one on your team actually has much experience with TTC, loss, pregnancy, the list goes on.

For your general information, the OP listed classic symptoms of labor in her post. And at 34 weeks that would mean PTL, or pre-term labor which IS A BIG DEAL. She needs to get off the internet and call her doctor ASAP, not be coddled.
