I was on birth control for 8 years and had irregular cycles post birth control but concieved in 5 months without trying, we just stopped preventing. For those who aren't having luck stop trying! Enjoy your time together and have fun with it! Stress can really take a toll on your body and make it harder! Good luck!
My wife and I tried for over 3 years. Attempted 2 IUI's and neither of them worked. We somehow ended up getting pregnant on our own when we stopped trying and we're due July 6th.
My husband and I weren't preventing but not necessarily "trying" as in not taking temps eft for the past 2 years and we just got pregnant for the first time and are now due July 17th. All happens when it's meant to be I guess
A year and a half with one loss and lots of failed fertility drugs. I have a thyroid condition, and I had a blocked tube that needed surgery but once that happened I got pregnant in 3 months without any drugs which is awesome because we were saving for IUI.
We got pregnant on the first try with all of our pregnancies. This will be our first baby, our prior pregnancies ended in missed miscarriages. We're really optimistic about this one
I was told that I probably wouldn't be able to conceive due to aggressive cancer treatment I had received at 16yo but was advised to use bc until I was ready to try. Myself and DH were prepared for difficulty when we felt the time was right to try. DH father passed away in June and we conceived in October even though I was taking bc pill correctly. It was definitely a shock but we like to think of our little one as a gift and he/she has brought so much happiness for DH and family :x
Got married in September and stopped using all forms of BC. Got pregnant just after the honeymoon. When I asked my GP for a blood pregnancy test, she told me not to get my hopes up because of my age - 36. Was shocked when I got the call confirming the pregnancy!

This is not helpful advice to the ladies with fertility issues. There are plenty of things that "just relaxing " doesn't fix
I was on the pill for 1.5 yrs and stopped. I got pregnant 4 months later.Four months with my dd as well but I was on the pill/depo shot for 15 years. I'm very thankful that it didn't take us very long. I can't imagine what some of you ladies have gone through to get to where you are now
This thread is making me super sad. I kind of hate this thread. This is kind of a thread that makes those of us who had lots of difficultly getting pregnant feel like crap.
You're absolutely right, and I'm so sorry. That is actually why I didn't respond to it yesterday I had real mixed feelings. I've had so many close friends struggle and it's just heartbreaking. We were told we lost this baby at one point but everything turned out fine, but that was the worst 5 days of my life. This is insensitive and I'm really sorry for this post and my participation in it. I wish you a very happy and healthy pregnancy.

With our first, it took 2 years to have a viable pregnancy. This time around got pregnant first try in Septmber, had a Chem. Pregnancy, got pregnant in October. Now we have a little boy due in July. We were shocked it happened, especially since we were going to wait a few months.
On BC with #1, missed 1 pill, boom pregnant. Mirena for 5 years, then back to the pill. On BC with this one, started new pill pack 2 days late, boom pregnant.
It took us the first month of trying, but i went on to miscarry. Then we waited a cycle, i didnt ovulate the month after that (Skipped it altogether for some reason)...But that very next ovulation cycle we tried and conceived this one. So i was pregnant twice in under 6 months-Never thought that would happen in a million years
I actually have been on both ends of the spectrum. With my first it took 2.5 years with this one I only had 2 periods and got pregnant. I was shocked to say the least.
A year and a half for DS, fertility issues and previous cancer for DH which caused issues. We went right back to the fertility doctor rather try on our own so between saving money, testing, and the actual procedures this one took 5 months.

I will be 35 in a couple of weeks and had been on birth control pills since the age of 15. I stopped taking them after I got married in January and in November we found out we are expecting our first child on July 20th!!! I have to admit, I was shocked! Everyone told me that it would take forever to get pregnant after taking BC for that long.
We stopped using condoms in February when we moved into our new house, but we didn't actually try to time sex around my ovulating until probably July, so 4 months roughly?
I 100% agree with u....we had a LOT of trouble conceiving so I am actually surprised that soooo many were able to conceive after 2-3 months or less. I had no idea. But we are all blessed to be here at this point right. And I have to believe that our time is now. Foe whatever reasons our time to be parents was not when we wanted. ...its now..the right time is now. Lets be thankful...I wasnt sure wr could even get pregnant so I try to never take anything for granted.

Wasn't trying at all! Had unprotected sex two days after my period ended and a few weeks later I had what I thought to be the flu. Four HPTs and a clinic visit later I still couldn't believe it until I finally had an ultrasound and saw my little "flu bug" and it's heart beat.
I thought several of these post were very inspiring and really showed me how blessed I am. However, I absolutely see how this thread could be heartbreaking to the couples who have been trying as well as to the couples who have also experienced loss. I truly wish everyone, no matter how easy or hard it was to conceive, a healthy pregnancy/delivery/baby. @inLOVEalready715@cls2015
