LO appears to have an infection of some sort. He has nasal and throat congestion. They suctioned his nose, gave him Tylenol, inserted a needle into his arm to get some blood (not sure which one of us cried more) they put in a cath for a urine sample AND took him for an X-Ray.
So far everything has come back normal. They've sent us home for now but we are still waiting on some results. We are following up with our doctor tomorrow.
Still in a bit of shock, especially since I feel like I've taken every precaution to not get him sick. Immediate family only, everyone got their shots, ect.
I'm just thankful we're back home and he doesn't appear to be in pain right now. Earlier he would cough and then cry, like maybe his throat was sore...
Q tested positive for RSV. Poor baby has been a champ since Friday. The doctor was surprised she tested positive bc it just seems like a cold, but since she can't go to daycare this week I'm home with her until my mom gets off at 3 then I'm off to the office. I can't help but feel guilty about having to put her in daycare bc I know that's where she got it. I just want to stay home with her forever
Oh no! So sorry! I hate that for you both and I hate that you have to feel badly about putting her back into daycare. Hugs!
Oh, I forgot to say that I'm happy other people are experiencing the slobber and hand-chewing. I thought my little guy was teething, and I wanted to cry. Glad to know it's normal for this age.
