@mamahawk12 actually the waffle fries are laced with Christian values and homophobic sentiments, so the more you eat there, the more you hate people with lifestyles different than your own.

It's amazing I don't immediately burst into flame upon crossing their threshold. But those hate filled waffle fries are so fucking delicious. Sometimes I just have to brush the Christianity and homophobic sentiments off and devour them. It does make them itch a bit going down. But oh, that golden, crispy fried box of potato deliciousness.....

Oh is that what makes them so deliciously tasty? And this whole time I just thought it was really good salt.

I used to live in Southern California, and I absolutely will never eat In & Out. I hate it. My family looks at me like I'm crazy, but.. Their fries always tasted like they were burned, and their burgers are fine, but I've had better. I do like their milkshakes, though. They definitely aren't The Best that Ever Was.

Whaaaat?!?! We don't have In&out here but every time I'm in California I will have at least one meal there.

We just found out we are having a girl at our scan yesterday. I started looking at baby girl clothes online last night and OMFG THEY ARE SO UGLY AND IMPRACTICAL. Why must everything be covered with sparkles, glitter, and polyester ruffles and flowers?!?! I just know my MIL is going to buy so much of this ugly crap for our LO and I am going to have to hide it in the back of the closet until she visits.
DH complained once that girls clothes are too girly, and bought a (hideous) grey and blue track suit for our niece as a "welcome baby" gift. His sisters teased him mercilessly about it for months and since we had DD he has completely converted to girls clothes.
We do avoid things with ruffly tulle attached and too many sparkles though...and it's my mother who is the problem in our family. She gave us a pink faux fir capelet with matching, ridiculous hat, and was just so pleased with it. We got home and DH was like, we are NEVER EVER putting that on DD. Ever.
On the topic of girly things... I hate those ridiculously huge flower headband things people put on babies especially newborns.

This is when I'm sad that I can only lovetit things once
My UO is that I think I am responsible for my own health and well-being during my pregnancy, I read books and consult with my doctor, and I don't rely on Internet strangers to provide me with the most basic and obvious information about the processes my own body is going through and how I should go about my daily life and then cry bullying when they don't say exactly what I want them to say.
Okay really, my UO is that I actually love sparkles and glitter--I just detest glitter-farting.

I hate the flower headbands on babies, but I love giant propeller bows on little girls (like ages 3-6). Especially if they have pig tails and 2 giant bows. I'm not the least bit girly, but I love bows.

flower head bands !!!!!! The ones that are the same size as babies head!? Ugh shoot me.
Oh and another thing I hate is ear piercing on infants! I am Hispanic and had mine done after I was born in the hospital. My family keeps bugging about getting my girls ears pierced but no fucking way am I putting holes in my babies ears!
I was at the mall and saw a mom getting her maybe 2 month old's ears pierced at a kiosk and I threw her some major shade.

I think I was 12 or 13 before my mom would let me get mine pierced. It's a good age, you can take care of them yourself.

DH and I just talked about this last night. I feel like it's a good thing to do once they can take care of it. It's also not traumatically painful. LO can decide if she wants it done, and we'll help her decide when.
My DD was four and she mentioned it I didn't hesitate to take her. We went right then. I have been told she is very mature for her age but when we went in she didn't cry or flinch and they are perfectly healed now. I took her to tattoo parlor. The kiosk and Claire's people I Do not trust with their lack of training. They were so impressed with her signing her own name on the paperwork they took a picture!

***quote fail**** Another valid reason to wait until they are older: what is the center of your earlobe at 3 might not be the center of your earlobe at 13. Just throwing it out there - to each their own.
Re condiments: srsly? I think I only eat the food sometimes so I can dip it in sauce
Re character clothes: yuck! I second Carter's for non character, non glitter baby girl clothes that are affordable and wash well.
Re ear piercing: never had mine done. Sort of excited to maybe have them done with DD when and if she asks. I just feel like it should be her decision. And I don't want to steal her thunder either.
I'm off to jump in a vat of chick-fil-a sauce now.

I was 7 (I think) the first time I got them pierced. Then I had to take them out for various sports and they closed, so I re-pierced them myself (more than once over the course of a 5 years or so). Since then, I've gotten second lobe piercings in both ears, multiple high cartilage piercings and a 10 gauge cartilage piercing.
All of this is basically to say... piercing your ears doesn't hurt, so I don't understand doing it as a baby. Especially since caring for a piercing isn't hard even for like a 5 or 6 year old.
My UO is how my co workers blame every thing I say or do on pregnancy. No....... I'm pretty sure I called the wrong doctor due to me being a dumbass and not pregnancy brain. lol
My ears were pierced at 2.5 my mother claims I begged her. I have zero idea because of course I don't remember. To each it's own on that one.

THIS a million times. People were telling me "Oh if you have a little girl you can dress her up" and I'm like, "Boys don't wear clothes?" I was excited for the little suspenders and boy ties and newsboy caps! I had to come around to girl clothes. And I still don't like anything overly pink, fluffy, or frilly. No no no. Someone tell me how to tell everyone I know not to by my child that crap.
I hate 100% of character shit and it will never be in my house, especially clothes. I also love when people say "oh just wait...". Really? What am I waiting for, exactly? My 4 year old to get a job and start buying his own Paw Patrol crap if he wants it? Because until then, I'm pretty sure I'm the one making those kinds of decisions.
I love you so much for this. I hate how people seem to think that if your child wants something you will be powerless to stop them. Someone told my mum that she would "have to get a video game system sooner or later." She said, "Oh really?" To this day, she never did. And we somehow survived just fine.
Okay lots of good stuff in here ladies...
Re condiments: srsly? I think I only eat the food sometimes so I can dip it in sauce.
YES. Most of the cravings I have had have been for condiments. I'll crave sour cream, mustard, or barbecue sauce and then I just figure out what to put it on. I legit put mustard on bread. Just plain bread. I always like condiments, but during this pregnancy it's been cranked into overdrive. I don't know how that plays into the whole cravings being related to what your body needs thing.
