Good morning ladies. It is a disgusting Monday here in NC. Pouring rain and cold. Gross! Not looking forward to another full week of work. What are you ladies up to?

DH and I finally made progress on the nursery this weekend. Blinds were put up and an extra shelf was installed in the closet. Now we just have to organize the hundreds of pieces of baby clothing that are covering our guest bed. So overwhelming! We have them organized by size but besides that I'm lost at how to put them away.

We have a couples' shower tomorrow night at a sports bar hosted by DH's boss. I'm actually hoping there are not many gifts. We have so much stuff already the thought of bringing more in the house freaks me out.

Guess I should go shower and get ready for work. Ugh! Have a great day everyone!

Here listening to DH snore before he gets up. MFM appointment this morning. Today marks 36 weeks! 1 more to "full term"!! Man this has flown by. Thank goodness for no false labor contractions last night. DH & I actually got sleep.

Tonight DH will be watching the Oregon/Ohio aka "Redneck Bowl" tonight. No tv for me!

@DronkeyGal‌ The weather here is nasty, and I forgot my umbrella! It will take me awhile to dry out now that I'm at work. Luckily, it is exam day and only a small percentage of the kids are here, and I don't have to deal with any of them. My goal is to finish my maternity lesson plans today. I'm afraid the notebook for just my honors class is going to scare the hell out of my sub.

@mom2xover2002‌ My DH and I are both decked out in our Ohio State gear today. We actually scheduled to have our new water heater installed tomorrow so that he had an excuse to stay home tomorrow after being up super late tonight. We are geniuses! I'm not worried about being tired because I won't make it until halftime!

Lastly, the dog is on steroids and it seems to be helping. We are going to give this a shot before committing to an $800+ surgery on his foot. Pray that it works because we don't have the money for all that.

Monday rant...

What a crappy night of sleep. I think I peed like 6 times. I had to prop myself up due to heartburn. I would start to fall alseep and be jolted back awake because I could feel the fluids from my stomach creeping into my throat. Blindly chewed some tums at like 3am, that seemed to help. Now can I call a clone in to do my errands, so I can get some rest? Do over please?

Gloomy Monday over here as well. I think it just started hitting my boss that I could be gone at any minute 37 weeks yesterday). I checked email over the weekend and had 10 emails from her, most about my replacement (we did interviews last week) or things she wants to make sure I have done/given to her so she can contact my accounts. Fortunately, I did almost everything she is asking for while she was gone over the holidays. I told her about it when she got back, but she wasn't ready to hear it then I guess. She is full on ready now, lol.

It's a gloomy day here too. It's not supposed to get out of the 30s and is going to rain all day. Me thinks this is a good day to stay inside

We are trying to get some major reorganization done around the house mostly in the basement. Our one storage closet was about 1/4full with empty boxes. I told H they either get stored in the garage or are trashed. Who knew that would be so incredibly difficult for the man. You would have thought I wounded a puppy.

Glooooomy tired day here too... I already need a nap-- feeling very frustrated that as I'm gearing towards maternity leave I have been assigned to train not only my new team leader (which I'm fine with) but also train a new director and help out with another clinics assessments. I'm just trying to get my shit done....

On a positive-- 37 weeks tomorrow! Getting so excited to meet this little guy or girl. I'm pretty sure too that we FINALLY decided on a boy name too!

I was going to rant about DH but as I was typing I realized it was entirely too long. I didn't want to subject those of you who would have read it all to that. All I'll say is he is currently in freak out mode because he realized I will be 37 weeks on Friday and we still have half the house in boxes.

Well I'm headed in to the hospital for my preregistration class on this dreary morning and then hopefully I'll be able to make some progress in the nursery. We were very blessed at our shower yesterday. Now I have to figure out what to do with all of it.

Ladies I'd take you rainy day over my snow covered roads!
I have my 34 week appt today. Kinda excited cause I'm hoping to see baby! I'm glad my sister is taking me cause I'm so tired. Maybe I can sleep on the way. Then we will be going out after to finish up getting my stuff for my hospital bag.

Good Morning..crappy weather here too. Yesterday was my shower and it was so amazing. There was some drama leading up to it but it looks like everyone put that aside and came together. Everyone but 5 people came and they really spoiled us. I will put up some pics soon in the shower thread! I feel like I ran a marathon yesterday, I am so sore I guess from walking around and opening everything, yikes!

YAY for everyone reaching full term this week!

Oh yes! Good luck with that. I have so many good intentions that die on my couch. It does NOT help that my cat has become extra affectionate lately, so he convinces me to stay put almost every time I sit. I have to admit to myself that if I sit, it's all over. Happy Monday, ladies (or as happy as you can make it anyway)! I feel the need to acknowledge DH for committing to focusing on our birthing/childcare classes on Sunday nights in spite of his Colts being in the playoffs. That's love right there. I'll have to be sure to remind our daughter of his sacrifice one day lol.

Anyone like to make bread?

I have made it several times (no bread machine here) and I love to do it but I have a few questions to ping off some more experienced bakers.

Can you freeze the dough and yield a successful loaf. I think I would prefer to be able to freeze the dough than to freeze a cooked loaf.

Any cookbooks you recommend? I would love to make more types.

Or just your favorite recipes?

My Monday started with a phone call to student loans, that's always lovely. Lol.

My big complaint today is that I have mitten hands with sausage fingers. I drink tonnes of water but my hands are so swollen! Ugh! And they hurt. My BP is fine, so I guess this is just the joint pain that is normal at this stage of pregnancy. No fun!

Fat pregnant Fingers crossed for your pup not needing surgery @lotsofdotts‌ .

And, @mylazypony‌ you just described my night perfectly. Sorry you went through it as well.

My mom brought over a bunch of freezer meals! I'm so excited that I don't have to make them myself. My energy is zero and I wish nesting would kick in.

And it is snowing and pretty today after all the muck lately, so that is making me feel happy.

I'm pretty sure this is my standard Monday spam... I'm over my job, I just hate it... I have an interview today for the school district I live in so we'll see how that goes... keeping all my body parts crossed that I can get this job, it would take about 100 lbs of pressure off my back... I know I'm not staying in my current job no matter what so it would be nice to have something in line before this lil' lady decides to come out...

In happier news, DH and I had our first birthing classes on Saturday. I have to say, watching the birthing videos (which I didn't really want to do) actually really helped put my mind at ease... like this is a totally doable thing and not this Mt. Everest sized task that I have to overcome...

Hi everyone. I'm feeling much better today compared to yesterday. I don't know WHAT was going on yesterday, but I blame a hormone surge. I was depressed, crampy (painful, strong BH on and off all day), stomach upset, and exhausted. Boo. Today, I have none of those symptoms. 3rd tri is great at surprises.

Since there was a weather delay, my big meeting today was rescheduled for tomorrow. It is the last important meeting I have before the baby is born. I'm glad for the extra day to prepare, but I'm looking forward to crossing it off my list!

Seems like we've definitely entered the time where people are going to L and D left and right, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we all have smooth deliveries from here on out.

We had our gloomy day yesterday. It rained all day, and was wonderful. Today the sun is shining here in beautiful Southern California. Not really feeling like working today, at all. My HR department is confusing me with all of this maternity leave information. I guess I filled out my information incorrectly. And the hardest part is, I work from home 4 days a week. The HR lady is normally in the office, but she's also expecting and hasn't had a very easy pregnancy, so she's at home. We have no time to meet up and go over paperwork.

We had our hospital walk through yesterday. I was WAY too emotional for it. Everything almost made me cry. We were walking the labor and delivery floor and I heard a newborn crying and I almost lost my sh*t. Coming off of an amazing baby shower on Saturday, my eyes were incredibly watery, allllll weekend.

I woke up incredibly swollen today. I hope today goes by fast!

went to babies r us over the weekend to get some loose ends and feeling a little better about my list but we still dont have a dresser and baby clothes are sorted but lying on the bed.

I think Im going to pass on freezer meals this time and wing it. Last time we did a bunch and it was extremely nice to have but Im just too tired.

Still cant decide on a name and circumcision (not trying to start a debate). Wish we could just decide and be done with it, like a black cloud over my head

Had to take a half day for an NST and doctor appointment. Can't say that was a terrible thing to leave work and get to sit down in a recliner and hear Oliver for a half hour. Teaching has kept me on my feet constantly at work, so it was a welcome change mid day.

@holachicaaa, I was trying to keep it together but you're so right, I was an emotional wreck when I the moms and dads were crying meeting their LO for the first time! And then DH even said that after watching the video he feels a lot more confident too, when we went into the class he was convinced he'd be the guy who passes out during delivery... after the videos he was like, "I think I could help deliver her..."

Yea right big guy, not taking that chance! But he can cut the cord if he wants! That would be a really special moment for him. He also said he was tearing up watching the videos too, guess we know he'll be a crying mess too

First official day as a SAHW...slept in til 9:00 (to be fair, I didn't fall asleep until close to 2 am). So far, I have returned our (overdue) books to the library, gone to the grocery store, cleaned out our freezer and fridge (we are gross and still had holiday leftovers in there) and one food cabinet, unloaded and loaded the dishwasher, and started de-cluttering my car. My husband and I have been working crazy hours and it feels good to start taking care all the stuff we've put off.

About to throw dinner in the crockpot and make lunch. I have ambitious goals for this afternoon: either go for a walk or use the elliptical, finish cleaning out the car, wash our sheets, maybe take a nap.

Seeing all the recent birth threads is pretty exciting; keeping all the early-baby mama's in my prayers!

Not much spam here. At work -- don't really want to be, but know I'm just sleepy and cranky.

I can feel the waddle fast approaching, but so far I am still walking normal. At the docs office last week, she could tell little miss was head down, and i was 1 cm. I know it really means nothing at this point, but good to know she is getting into position.

Have another "prenatal" class tomorrow night. I did enjoy the last one but for a class that is supposed to be 7-9 pm, it didn't end until like 9:45 -- WAY too late for this pregnant lady. (though I know we are way late to the game -- everyone else on the sign in sheet is due like end of March to June - Oops)

I wanted to brag about my smarty pants 6 year old! We got a letter from his school today that he was accepted into their Advanced Enrichment Program! We've been waiting for his test results since October! Proud Mommy Moment!!!
