I have been awake for maybe 30 min and I used all of my lives on Trivia Crack..for the next hour at least lol. Same name as here if anyones bored in an hour.
Eta : I feel all the lurvs this morning and apparently I exaggerated, only like 20 min left! Hubs is outside and it is cold so this is my entertainment this morning. Maybe I can convice him Taco Bell for lunch...yummm
We told our final group of good friends about the baby last night. The first question was "when are you having your shower?" Ummm I have no idea since I'm not throwing it for myself! I am the first of my non-known-since-I-was-a-kid friends to be pregnant and so I think no one really knows what to say or do. Second question was about naming. I too had a ton of girls names picked when we found out it was a boy. Both sides of the family, and many friends want us to go with DH's name, to make baby cakes a III (or IV depending on the etiquette rules we follow). I'm just meh. Let me stop puking for a few weeks, then we'll talk names.
MIL and FIL ate both pushing for us to take her out of daycare and have her back with MIL.. but after a big fall out a few months ago, that's not happening
For some reason I'm really annoyed by a FB post one of my friends put up. Her 3yr basically told her she can't have any time to herself because it was her decision to become a mom and my friend was like, "She's right".
First of all, her kid is one of those little divas who is spoiled and everything she does is "cute". Which completely does not endear either one of them to me.
She's a little diva because you agree with stupid comments like this. You're life doesn't revolve around your kid. We are all entitled to have time for ourselves...kids included.
DH is obviously bored at work, and I'm sick of his constant texts about keeping the fire going. It's like he needs a play by play of everytime I look at the fire, how many flames on the fire, how many logs, exactly how many seconds before I put a new log on.... STOP OBSESSING OVER THE FIRE AND LET ME DO THIS ON MY OWN. In taking care of the toddler, don't have time to give all the details he wants.
This had me laughing out loud. DH is obsessed with our fire too - angle of the logs, correct combination of small and big logs... Probably bc our heat is not working, but I can't wait to add another one to the list - "how many flames are on the fire." :-?
Married to DH since 2010, TTC since 2012
2 Furbaby pups, Miley and Ally
Unexplained IF, 3 rounds clomid= BFN, IUI+femara 2/14 = BFN, IVF 5/14 = BFP! MMC 7/14. FET 10/31/14= BFP!!! 2 gestational sacs, one baby with a heartbeat. Praying for our little bean sprout!
We're struggling on names too and I've decided to give up until we know the sex.
We have Emma Christine for a girl. And dh and I originally loves Grayson Paul for a boy. But Grayson is getting trendy and I don't like the way Owen and Grayson sound together with the same n ending.
In suggested others like Wesley and Zachary. But he's not a big fan.
I'm sure we will come up with something. Our middle names have been set since we for our bfp lol. Paul after my dad and Christine after my childhood babysitter (who my mom babysat when SHE was little.)
Married 3.10.13
Finally pregnant after 20 months of trying, and 3 doses of Clomid!
10 year old step son who is excited to be a big brother!

I'd probably get annoying back and send him constant pics and videos of the fire.
Really!?! My DH knows I can't stand the smell of breakfast( eggs, bacon, hash browns) and what does he do this morning he makes it. I want to cry I feel so sick, and I was already up at 4 am vomiting I can't even gather my strength to eat my Cheerios! And these babies need to eat more then he does! He can be a jerk sometimes, he really doesn't understand morning sickness at all!!!!!
@LadyAnnibal that's a perfect description! I also feel like a 4 year old who just wet the bed haha. But I'll be 27 with my second. I haven't told my religious judgey grandma yet. Or dad. Good luck!!!
My awesome hubby is finishing several projects that were my idea we start before our BFP (but now I'm too sick to help). In the last several weekends he has installed our new floors, pretty beadboard, cut and painted new baseboards (still be be installed), and is currently painting our hallway. He's doing all this while I lay in bed. He's pretty much amazing (and I think he's extra motivated because we sold all of our old living room furniture and there's no comfortable place in out whole house to chillax- aka we need to get the room finished)

He started asking again. The man is crazy! We have electric heat and the cost out here is absolutely insane so I understand not wanting to use it, but there's no need to obsess over the fire so much!
I agree. I want to name her something I love. However, he's a dick and says that even if I name her something else he will still call her his name. I didn't realize he was such an arrogant dickhead til I got pregnant. There are other beautiful female biblical names that I love..like Rebekka and Delilah and Ruth and many others but he's dead set on Sarah. If it weren't for his ex Sarah would be great. Blah. He's claims he's a dictator in this relationship (haha).. Why'd I allow him to impregnant me. PS. He's a good guy. Don't get me wrong..just hate that he won't budge away from Sarah.
MH really likes the name Christian. I like it too, but all I know it's the name of the guy in stupid 50 Shades of Gray and with the movie coming out soon, the LAST LAST LAST thing I want to be associated with is that dumb book/movie. God, I would be mortified if anyone thought I named my kid after that.
He keeps bringing up that name and I keep changing the subject.
Hate to burst everyone's bubble, but the man can fill out the forms, too. DH filled out all DDs paperwork while I was napping. I was so afraid he messed it up somehow, but nope. Thank God. But they didn't even have me double check it. So, if you think your partner will do something shady as fuck, I'd let the staff know.
DS has pottied twice in the potty chair this weekend. We haven't been super diligent about it, but he's only 22 months. Our in-home daycare has been encouraging us to try to potty train him. I ordered some cloth trainers today (for an awesome price!), so I'm kind of excited, but mostly apprehensive.
Any STMs have any advice? I'm not really looking into any intense 3-day programs, unless it's really all that works.
We're working on potty training with DS. He has been using the potty off and on for about a year now, it's more than time for him to be out of diapers (during the day, not even thinking about night training yet). We aren't intense about it, but now we're really encouraging him by asking if he has to potty, inviting him to come whenever we go to the washroom, and giving him a small treat when he uses the potty (one m&m for a pee, two for poops). He does so great with it, only problem is he doesn't get the pant pulling down thing so he is either naked the entire day or in underpants and we take them off every 2hrs or so and put them back on once he's gone. We're sending him to the sitter tomorrow in underpants and sending his potty with him. He LOVES the praise, so I'm really hoping that this is it and we can be out of daytime diapers before the new baby gets here. For nap today I'm having him use the potty before and putting a cloth insert in his underpants - he can stay dry through nap, but I want to do the liner just in case.

He's already named children, this is your first so you get some input. I would stick to my guns and name her something different - he can call her whatever he wants. And honestly, the way you describe him concerns me. I think you need to evaluate the relationship and perhaps look into counselling, he sounds quite controlling and calling himself the dictator is a big red flag to me. I hate to judge a relationship I know nothing about, but I am concerned for you and hate to see someone being controlled/made to feel anything less than equal in a partnership.
@SamiReeves that man sounds like a dickhead and a control freak. If you are really concerned about him being this way I would seek counseling or even a neutral third party. I am sorry he is treating you this way and being a jerk about the baby's name. Creepy internet stranger hugs to you
I'm pissed. I picked out the perfect outfit for DDs valentines/18 month photos, and put them in my online cart. Today, I get the coupon I was wait I for, and I got to checkout. And behold! The leggings are now out of stock!! @+?#/$)@;#/!?@"@+&+&.!;@"@:
Morning ladies! @LadyAnnibal, good luck! I still haven't told my side of the family. I know I should and I keep moving the deadline to tell them.
On the name topic, if it isn't unanimous, it isn't decided. MH wants Cecelia for a girl and is fine with the name I picked for a middle name. I, however am not on board with Cecelia. No boy's name yet.
My random: I'm debating whether I should wake hubby and ask him to get bagels or just go myself and hope and pray the smell of coffee from the cafe doesn't make me sick. I used to love coffee.
Thanks for the support ladies. You are all great! >:D< Everyone I know but him is on my side with the name. His family and friends even. He's just being a poophead. I have 6ish months to get my point across. I refuse to name her Sarah.
DD is suppose to be napping but I hear her chattering away like a monkey. I don't care because she's not crying and mama needs some mama time (don't judge me).
My random is from yesterday: my friends and I drove to LA to the CA Science Center to see the exhibit on Pompeii and the Space Shuttle Endeavor. It was incredible. I'm so glad I found nerdy friends who get excited about stuff like this like I do.
This signature is all for YOU. I'm on mobile and can't see crap.
I don't know if I wanna cook today or just eat leftovers ? Still have laundry and light house work to do but I wanna sleep. I hope that fatigue crap isn't coming back. I was on a roll.
Annoyed right now because there is a sandwich/smoothie place I have been telling DH I want to try for months. We drove past it last night and I pointed it out again. Just now he looks up from the article he's reading and says "I just read about this sandwich/smoothie place that's right in our neighborhood - we should go." The same place I've been mentioning for months. Honestly, it's in one ear out the other some times.
In other news my cousin knows the sex of her baby and is pretending on facebook that she doesn't. She is making people guess based on symptoms, how she is carrying etc. not sure how I feel about that! I just liked the bump pic and kept scrolling.

I sneezed at work today and peed myself, on a better note me and the other half have had date night and been for a nice meal, then on another bad note I've just been to toilet and flushed while my night coat was hanging inside don't know if I want to laugh or cry.
Except for the current laundry load in the dryer, all the housework is done and that is with an hour of "rest" time for DD. I'm rewarding myself with nachos.
Ugh. Just got a big EOB for my extra ultrasound (which confirmed no ectopic pregnancy, just a CLC, so obviously VERY necessary), but no actual bill or email from the medical imaging office yet. It's in service so in not terribly worried - I just think BCBS may need to confirm I am pregnant and I really did need it. They say "all pre- and post-natal care is fully covered" so hopefully this applies
I'm trying to spread baby purchases throughout this pregnancy and this would kill next paycheck's "fun baby purchase money." That being said I did luck out and find a winter edition ergo for $90! All the "winter" aspects are detachable so it can be used year round. We also bought the stradmon wingback chair from ikea for $279 and are turning it into a rocker. The crib is being gifted so that leaves a car seat and a stroller as far as really big purchases go! (Right?)
@bookitup that's my back up plan! They've been very good about "this is covered, this isn't" when discussing my options and possible tests so I'm assuming this is just question of clarification/need. I'm not stressed about because I think I would have received a bill from the imaging office by now - the appointment was over 5 weeks ago.
ETA: taking care of stuff early and keeping a list is making me feel a LOT better. Spreading it out is making it seem like a lot less. We'll have our major purchases done by April. I'm so thankful a few family members have said "we would like to purchase X for you, here is your budget, pick out whatever you want." It has made planning and budgeting so much easier.

That is a nice name. And it goes with Virginia ( We are doing a girl middle name after my grandmother )
