CPS should just put their offices in Walmart. It is so bad..
Shit. I just got home from Walmart where I made all 3 kids suffer through the return line.....its me, isn't it?!?!
Hahaha no...
The worst one that I saw today was at the subway in our Walmart. 6 or 7 year old boy was getting yelled at for not eating fast enough and he's crying because he's hungry and his dad said he needed to learn a fucking lesson and threw the boys sandwich in the trash.
Saturday is the worst day to go to Walmart.
This just makes me sad. A sandwich is a portable food item, if you've got somewhere to be, can't the kid eat it on the go?
I can't find the original post so I am responding to this one. Did the dad actually say "fucking lesson"? I want to TP him with a subway sandwich. Or stuff one down his throat because he didn't eat fast enough.
If he was hungry and still eating, why can't the sandwich come in the car? It's not like he was sitting there poking it and then once it was gone said he was hungry.
I wouldn't waste the sandwich to TP him. I'd take HIS sandwich, stick his hand in the fucking toaster oven and tell him he can eat a dick instead. What an absolute dickface.
Dadgum. I do not want to ever piss Sinner off. I agree that the dad is an assface.
I feel like such a bad mom today. M is super fussy which could be anything but I feel like it's being exacerbated by my stress level being through the roof. Even worse is my patience is lacking today because of all this also.
Please stop fussing and crying every single waking minute... I just CAN'T handle this today!

@SPurp13 you pay $30 a day for a full time one on one nanny? Wait is it your MIL? @TheOtherJacobsons I like that she said you must not be up for SPONSORING a college student. That sounds like she was expecting $$ for nothing.
It's my husband's cousin's wife. We don't pay MIL. But the lady we were going to before her also charged 30. That's the norm here. I mean. Pity me, but I don't make $29 an hour, so no nanny for me.
My mom today... "You're not raising her to be one of those kids that won't let you put them down are you?" Me: ... Glare... Mom: I'm not criticizing, I just want you to be a good parent.
This sounds like me and my MIL. Only she's the one that won't put her down. I know you can't hold a kid too much, but my kid needs a nap. She's had meltdowns in the evenings this week that I think are from being over stimulated and not napping during the day. But Thursday and Friday were better...so...there is hope?

Yes me and my mom had a similar conversation. Mom: why are you always holding him you are going to spoil him, what am I supposed to do when I take care of him? Me: hold him!
Then I had to remind her that he is her grandbaby and she may not be getting another one from us.
My husband brought APurp to my work Monday. Nothing will ever give me more joy than seeing my boss hold this baby out in front of him like a bomb, saying, "'ello...'ello" over and over (he's English).
Guise I haven't been on a computer in forEVAR. Finally got my siggy challenge updated. I hope someone else doesn't have the same one?! Anyway.. just bought an iPod touch. Treat yoself.
So…Noah fell asleep like a unicorn after I fed him at 8:30. I rock him to sleep, snuggle for a bit and then go to put him in the PnP beside our bed only to realize that it has no sheet bc I washed it and never put another one back on. I'm here by myself! I flounder for a bit and then decided to put him in the crib. Now I'm sitting here trying to decide whether to leave him there (rational thing to do) or move him bc I'm not ready for him to sleep in his crib (irrational). Talk me off the ledge!

Had a similar conversation with my MIL today we were at her house for the UK game and he fell asleep in my arms. She told me to put him in the crib. First of all I'm watching the game and don't wanna get up, second of all the crib at her house is FULL of stuffed animals and you can't possibly get them out while holding a sleeping baby.
Her: If you hold him while he's sleeping he'll only want to sleep while you're holding him. Me: I think I'll risk it. Her: Glare...go smoke a cigarette
I've been lugging around LO with me all day and he hasn't gotten more than a 15 min nap. He fell instantly asleep at 10 when we got home. Let's cross our fingers that tonight isn't horrendous.
Oh, one more thing. He was all dressed in this adorable tuxedo sweater and corduroy pants. And then he peed all over it. And his face.
Had a much better day today than yesterday. Spent time love titting and lurking.
I was so tired last night- working full time and not really sleeping when baby has a cold is killer. By 5:30a I crawled into bed, told Dh baby was dee but needed to be changed and seemed to be up for a while. He got up and took care of her for 2 hours and I got some rest! Then while dd took a long nap we DTD. He earned it with letting me sleep lol.
I feel like I have to defend the guy with the sandwich. Coming from someone whose child will not take a bite until it is time to leave the table...sometimes parents run out of patience for this behavior.
Eh, I get losing patience... But come on, swearing at your kid, trashing their sammich and dragging them away crying (all in a very public place) is a pretty crappy thing to defend. I'm assuming you meant empathize with him, not necessarily defend his actions, right?
Had I seen this guy I would've stopped him as he was walking out and said "hold up dude, stay here while I run into the Walmart bathroom and change into my judgey pants. Because I'm straight up judging you."
And then I would run away as he proceeded to flip me off and use some more choice swear words. Anyway...
ETA: this sounds dumber and dumber the more I read it. Going on night 6 of baby waking every two hours so I'll blame it on that. :grimacing:
Ok so the details make it sound way worse, but I'm just saying...sometimes we lose it on our kids. Maybe he was just having a shitty day. I dunno. I'm tempted to swear at my toddler twenty times a day.
Yeah, I feel you on that. My temper is through the roof lately. How do they drive us so crazy and yet we love them so much?!
The guy definitely was slightly out of line when he threw it away and dropped the f bomb on the crying kid.. but I totally get being so frustrated.. I swore at the five year old last night because he kept blowing a fucking whistle in the bath tub while the baby was screaming in her bath, the bathroom fan was on, and the dog was barking.. it was a sensory overload and I lost my shit.. I profusely apologized later and told him that mommy was just overwhelmed with all the noise and maybe next time he could stop blowing the whistle the FIRST time I asked (instead of the fourth or fifth) point is- we all lose our shit from time to time, luckily most if the time we dont do it with half of Wal-Mart watching and we can be thankful theres no one standing by wearing judgey pants (which I totally would have been wearing had I seen the same display) and move on from it
Just got back from me and DH first date alone since September! It was tough. Saw hunger games, it was good. Went to bjs before that and drank enough to get buzzed.
Then we banged in the car. Most uncomfortable thing ever. That was my first time doing that... 25 is too old for that I guess...
Well shit. If 25 is too old for sex in the car than 32 is fo sho too old.
Go for it! I'm just not flexible. And DH is much taller than me, which makes a lot of positions difficult. We stopped even trying shower sex because we don't line up properly
I'm 5'5" and DH is 6'4" if we tried to have shower sex someone would die.

Meh, I don't know anyone who doesn't lose it at home, but on the flip side, we all do a little better in public, so if this guy behaves like that in public, I'd hate to see what he's like in private.

Haha! You're so cute.

I'm feeling a little resentful and I know I shouldn't but ugh. I can't help it. I miss being normal and carefree.
But I once was a bunch of fun. A long time ago
Her: If you hold him while he's sleeping he'll only want to sleep while you're holding him.
Me: I think I'll risk it.
Her: Glare...go smoke a cigarette
