Re: //Saturday Randoms\\

  • I started this because I have a question and didn't know where to put it. What do you guys think about infant swim classes? Any experience?

  • Laying in bed hungry but I am giving DH time with LO. He needs to get more confident in his ability to soothe her.
He doesn't get that she has changed and grown and her needs and comforts have changed too. Poor daddy.

@keelyd‌ I hope you feel better!

@MrsSarahRenee‌ I hope it goes well and he gets more comfortable with your LO. We just went through that and it was tough.
  • Just woke up to feed LO and can't breathe through my nose. DH said if I didn't feel better today, we would skip his Christmas party. I know it will be lame and I will just want to be back home, but I kind of want to go. It will be our first time out together alone and I was looking forward to it.

@keelyd‌ I hope you & LO feel better soon!

  • @FamousEa‌ that's a good idea. Thanks :)

  • I don't know if infant swim classes happen at my local pool for babies, but I want to take LO swimming as like he also loves the bath so I'm excited to see him in the pool! I remember taking my nephew when he was a small baby but I can't remember how many months he was. Does anyone know if there's a certain age that they have to be? Is it once they've had their injections?
  • Hope those feeling sick feel better soon, this time of year sucks :(
  • @apk4 I think swim lessons are a great idea! We've already looked into it here & they start in April @ 6 months!

@keelyd I hope you & DS are feeling better very soon! You've had a lot to handle lately & sure could use a break!

@GretchenWeiners‌ I hope your feeling well again soon!

  • Feel better, sick notches and sad boobs!

With all this talk of babies who don't poop for days, I'm thinking...wow, I get about 4-5 poops a day. Lucky me?

I'm too cold to think about swimming.

  • So yes yes yes to the baby swim lessons. DH and I were big swimmers. Since he used to lifeguard he taught swim lesson so he's going to teach DD. I told him I want to practice holding our breath in the tub instead of the community pool because :-& . I finally got DD to latch and easy it was like, midnight? So frustrating last night I just cried.

  • @crawford411‌ did your DH also add he deserves a reward?

It is icy in Austin this morning which means I have an excuse to go nowhere. I am not going to deal with a bunch of people who can't drive in winter weather.

Lol Austin people can't even drive when it's dry!
So every weekend I thingk DH will wake up and help with DS so I can sleep in but no, we've been up because the dog won't shut up, but it's to cold out to let her out.
Me and DS are congested since yesterday, this winter is no fun.
I would love to do baby swim with DS but can't really think about that right now it's too cold!

  • I have such a lady boner for Rob Dyrdek. He's not the most attractive guy, but I've always had a thing for skaters, and he makes me laugh SO hard.

Jason Ellis is my skater boy obsession.

  • And after that novel...

I am about to get ready to head to a museum because it is activity day with my little buddy. I feel bad for her because the baby has made me make myself less available to her and I feel like a terrible mentor.

It was as I feared... The onesie had to be pulled down the shoulders... All up his back... Time for a bath. He feels better though.

This Owen had a poosplosion this morning too. Just short of a bath, but the sleeper had to immediately go in the wash.

  • My kid started STTN this week. Like really STTN, which translates to me STTN. I didn't want to jinx it by acknowledging it, but I think it's safe now.

I signed up for mom & baby yoga. I go back to work in about 6 weeks and realized that if I wanted to do that, now would be the time otherwise I wouldn't be able to. Those classes are in the day and I can't swing that during the work week.

I am starting to think about going to work and I am really going to miss this time. I see how MH is when he leaves and I am not going to be much better. At least I will be home with her 2 days a week. We'll have a nanny, but I'll at least be in the house with her.

DH also goes on another deployment in March (not military, it's just what they call their field missions). He'll be gone for a month, followed by another month. He leaves right when I start work again. I hope DD will be fine with all of the changes.
