  I had my first day of classes junior year of college the day after my 21st birthday plus there was only one other friend who was already 21. I went to dinner with friends at the birthday bar where they give you a free mug and free beer on your birthday. I had a whopping 2 beers.

  Our local wine cellar will help customers find a new wine and let you taste a few different ones. (legally here they do have to charge per taste) It's not an official tasting event or anything. You just go down, try and buy.
  
  Do you have anything like that near you? It's not a celebration, but it's something you couldn't do before and hey, you can't go wrong tasting wine.

  I spent my 21st eating cheesecake and watching "Chicago" with my new male roommate who I had a giant crush on.  After the movie, we went to our separate rooms and went to bed.  No booze and no sex.  It was actually really nice.

  He didn't know that HR out 'maternity' as my reason for leaving. If they hadn't, I would have no recourse and be owed no money.
  But they did.
  He was not thrilled at the news.

  Canadian here, so turned legal at 19. My birthday was on prom weekend and after the prom we all went to the beach for the weekend. Lots of drinks consumed. Fun times!

  Forgive me, I just jumped right in and haven't read a fucking post in this thread. Hai! I'm drinking vodka and having some downtime while MH and DS are out running errands for my MIL. MH is pissed because it's taking way longer than expected, but I'm pretty happy bumping in a quiet house with my vodka.

  I've been to Time Warp @bunkinmama. It was a long, long time go though. I wonder if it's still open.
  
  edit: Still there and The Breakfast Club is playing tomorrow night. I love them! They're an 80s rock cover band. I wish I could listen to the band without needing to be out past 8pm and in a bar. lol

  Drunkest was 18 (alberta ftw), but 23 was the most memorable. I went to an AC/DC concert, and had to work at 6am the next morning. I didn't go to bed and puked multiple times on my way to work, and showed up in my new puked stained AC/DC shirt.

  Just joining in here, haven't read yet...but I'm sorry to hear about the job loss @jnerd. That fucking blows. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise though?
  
  I went to the grocery store alone (which was awesome btw)....I spent double what I normally spend. Here I was bitching about MH's spending. Oops.
  
  250 bucks worth of groceries (including some non grocery stuff like baby wipes, baby lotion, baby wash/shampoo, orajel for DS1)...fuck.
  
  Welp...we should hopefully be good on food for the next few weeks. I feel relieved to have stocked up before I have the baby though. Even though it definitely hurt our pocket right now (dh just got laid off and we're waiting on unemployment to come through).
