I work in a hotel for a major brand. I cannot book a place until 90 days out but when I can it's a great deal. That's the earliest we can book my super rate.
Flights for me are $600. Plus I need to get a new passport. But- I want to make this happen so badly. So it is. I've decided. Something will happen to make it so I can go on this trip.
DS2 was confused as to why I didn't have computer lab on Fridays in 1st grade. I ended up showing him my typewriter (yes, I still have it) and he was so amused. He types stories on it all of the time now.
I am crazy awkward and have bad timing with most everything. But I don't want hubby to come because he gets may long as a boys weekend and I'm solo with the kids. I want him to be solo with the kids for a few days to see what it's like.
In all honesty, I'm not at all disappointed that social media wasn't around in high school/college. I can only imagine how many obnoxious selfies and pictures of my tits would be floating around.
I had Facebook in college but it had just started. UW Madison was one of the first schools added when it was limited to Universities. DH (my BF at time) went to a different state school and he couldn't join til much later. I can't even rember what it looked like except there were way fewer pictures and ads.

We're not 100% sure yet. DH wants to go this summer, but that won't work for me because of classes. I also don't want to be there in the summer because crowded and heat.
I'm trying to convince him of going around Thanksgiving or around Christmas. Plus, DS will be a little older and would, IMO, enjoy it more.
We went from January 3-7 in 2011 and that was the absolute best time to go. Hotels were at their cheapest rates (we stayed on site), we got the free meal plan, and it was not crowded at all. It was cooler (60s-low 70s) but we were coming from like 10-20 degrees so it was warm to us. DS was 2 months from turning 3 and he had an amazing time.
We went again in the middle of October 2014 when DD was almost 3. Crowds weren't terrible but definitely worse than January. weather was mostly 80s. Prices were decent but also not as good as January. I think I would despise going in summer.

Squeaker is teething and was just up for an hour. Now I can't fall back asleep.
