I can't find the Friday rant thread, and I need to rant! My husband is gone for a month long Army pre-deployment training, and in the past couple of days we have received 2 ft of snow with another 2 ft forecasted. I was really hoping to be able to take my DS into daycare so I could get the house cleaned up a bit, but everything is closed and the roads are horrible. I have terrible food aversion and it has been very hard for me to make food for DS and myself. Last night I woke up at 1:30am and couldn't get back to sleep until 7:00. My DS ended up sleeping 13 hours last night so I guess there will be no nap time today. Would it be horrible if I just put on Disney Junior for awhile? Ugh, sorry for the long post.

I'm trying to pick a new OBGYN totally blind and there are two hospitals that seem to be good (one is a University hospital, so cutting edge, great place to be if anything goes wrong, the other is supposedly more mommy friendly). So I decided to make appointments with two docs then do hospital tours before the first appointment to see which I like better.

But, the University based practice wants me to have an u/s with their staff ASAP and its scheduled for Tuesday. I couldn't get in for the tour until the 20th so I may not even go with them, but I'll be 15+3 and I'm really hoping they'll be able to see the sex, so I agreed to the u/s. I'm probably crazy for thinking I have a chance at seeing anything but I'm still excited to see the baby again.

I'm finally feeling a little better today, but we dont really have any foods in the house appropriate for someone just getting over gastro illness. And I'm really missing Mtn Dew. My friend has therapy today so I'm going to see if she'll run for me later... And maybe bring me a bagel with yummy cream cheese and a Dew.

@sassycassieb‌ & @ahsile10‌, the best consolidation program I have found is in charge debt solutions. They are non profit and have really helped H and I consolidate all our credit cards and loans. They are super helpful and negotiate cutting down APR on your behalf so you pay less money in the end.

My arm looked so bad after my first blood draw. I had a four inch ugly bruise that lasted a week. My OB even commented on it when I went my next appointment. I hope I don't have the same nurse next time they had to draw my blood...

Disney Jr. is definitely allowed! Or Disney movies or PBS (or whatever really...). My motto with DH having been gone (took a new job out of state) is that whatever we have to do to survive works. DD has watched entirely too much TV and we've ordered pizza more times than I'd willingly admit but we're just fine.

It's -22 here today. But this is making DD extra cuddly, so I'm okay with this. She is currently up and dancing around the house to Taylor Swift, which is just adorable.

I think I've stumped my doctor's office. I woke up yesterday with my tongue stained yellow and I have no idea why. I haven't eaten anything strange! So I called to ask and they called me back. They said if I get any other symptoms to call back, but that they could look at it at my next appointment on the 20th. I have no idea if I should be concerned....

I am so glad it's Friday!! DH and I are going hiking tomorrow and on a double dinner date. And we are finally getting our new fence on Sunday! I swear if we would have had stronger winds it would have blown over.

My mil is a little coo coo in her head. Until recently she was a prepper getting ready for the end of the world - hard core stuff- gathering food, candles, even made a water purifying machine for herself. She used to go to meetings for the selected few, who had tickets to a spaceship that was going to take them into the space once the Planet X hit and destroyed the Earth. All this bs stopped recently, but picked up with a doubled force, as now she is convinced that the FDA is out to kill us all, but first make money off of us. She is currently making her own vitamins, and constantly does some cleansings for her body. She believes that an overdose on vitamins is the basic solution to any problems with health, ranging from runny nose to cancer. Also, her newest thing is curing her body with turpentine!! Yep- the substance used to dissolve oily paints, also commonly considered to be a poison. Apparently she soaks up towels in it, and puts it all over her body letting it soak in!! I don't feel safe near her any,ore, and once LO is here, there is no way in hell I am letting her stay unsupervised with my baby!!

Guise!! I decided to just put this here but I just heard my baby's heartbeat on the Doppler at the doctors, it was 168 bpm. My PGAL brain kept getting to me and I was worried. Feel a little weight lifted

She keeps telling me that she has her baby sister in her belly, and she keeps asking me when she can come out. It's so adorable. ETA: No, I don't know if we're team pink - that's just what she's saying.

OMG all the kids are so antsy today. I know it's snowing and we are watching silly movies about composers but can you just sit still for five seconds? Is it 2:30 yet?

It was so cute this morning, I was getting her changed and she told me to be careful, because her sister was in her belly and I can't be rough with her belly. I wonder where she got that from...

Yeah, it's just the coating. Just super weird. And no, no antibiotics. I've had a head cold, but I've only been eating cough drops for that and they were blue, so I'm at a loss.

There are several ways to address a yellow tongue, including improving oral hygiene, using medications to cut down on the bacteria in the mouth, or making diet and lifestyle changes.

Some common yellow tongue causes include: poor oral hygiene, certain medications, fever, dehydration, and mouth breathing. In addition to being coated in yellowish material, the tongue may look or feel hairy and bumpy.
Immediate treatment of yellow tongue can be as simple as brushing the tongue with atoothbrush or using a tongue scraper. Some people like to brush their tongues with a small amount of hydrogen peroxide to bring up the bacteria and remove the pigment, although this is not necessary.

I think it's from mouth breathing since I've been sick. But I tried brushing my tongue, gargling mouthwash, and brushing again. It just stays yellow! It's super strange. I'm hoping since I can actually breathe through my nose, it'll go away on it's own. We'll see. It's day 2 and it's still yellow.

This started to happen to DH about 4 weeks ago. It comes and goes and he can't figure out why. He is going to the dentist today anyway so he is going to ask about it.

It's 10:11am and I am on my THIRD (small) bowl of pasta salad since 9:45. I made up a HUGE batch last night and DH and I are supposed to have some for lunch. I just couldn't stand it staring at me in the fridge all morning... It is so, so, so goooood.

Tonight I'm going to a gathering of old friends. 2 of them are closer friends than the others (we all used to work together), and I'm ready to tell them about this baby. The others will find out in 2 weeks when we do our "big announcement" I'm just trying to figure out HOW to tell them without them squealing/freaking/drawing attention. LOL At the same time, I know I want to tell them in person and not via text, FB, etc. and I don't see them often anymore (maybe once a month).
