@tla0623 - we feed a tiny bit (like 10-20 kernels of food) to our dog right before bedtime; he was spitting up like a baby in the mornings, and the Internet Vet claimed that sometimes their stomach acid can go into overdrive if they don't eat for long period of time.
This doesn't quite jive for me with the whole "dogs should really eat once a day" thing, but I never broke him of two meals a day so whatever.
So he gets most of his dinner when we get home from work, and then around 9:00 he gets the rest of it, right before his last potty break. It's worked - no more spit ups!
