I went there this weekend because I hadn't gone since I was about 35 wks and ran out of room for unlimited pancakes. Gotta warn you, it's some BS this time around. You can't even get all the yummy flavored pancakes. It costs extra per serving just to get fruit on top. Not cool, IHOP, not cool.
We just planned our first night out w/o lo for this weekend. I am very excited. Not sure what we are doing yet but can't wait for some time just me and dh.
I've had wine, beer, champagne and rum. I've pumped and dumped after the champagne and rum. I only had a small glass of wine and I hear a dark beer every once in awhile can be good for milk supply. A friend swore by it. I just have a Sam Adams like once a week.
This child.. she was so easy to handle but the last few days have been hard. She's 2 weeks 5 days today, and since 2 days ago has been wailing inconsolably unless she's nursing or sleeping, and she won't sleep much. DH just picked her up and kicked me out of the room because I was crying hard right along with her. My hope is that it's the 3 week growth spurt. My fear is colic.
Thanks ladies! Still at the hospital waiting to hear back from a nearby hospital that has all the specialist drs about the heart murmur. Also dealing with bilirubin levels that wont drop. We also apparently picked a horrible week to be in labor and delivery the floor is full and we got a roommate today of course they are loud and obnoxious.

@nedralynn - hang in there. Sending to best wishes.
@marsavary - I've had diarrhea PP. It sucks. TMI - twice I haven't mdd it to the bathroom in time. Dr. told me to start having metamucil every day. We'll see if it helps.
Weirdly excited that baby will be 2 weeks old tomorrow and will be able to take Tamiflu if needed. Hoping for all I'm worth that it will not be needed this season, but with the way flu is going around my town right now...ugh everyone is sick (MIL and FIL haven't even seen the baby yet due to illness).
Also - realized that the little drop spots on the wood floor by the couch are actually dried breastmilk, cuz I'm lactating on everything. Cute.
Omg... I just cried at the last episode of the first season of friends. Noooo... Not Ross & Julie! I want to fast forward through the next episodes. :-(
Yeah, I watched Ross and Rachel's first break up today and cried so hard! I've seen all the episodes but they still get to me.
I still laugh at them like it's the first time when really it's more like the 600th.
D14 November Siggy Challenge: The feels of 3rd trimester...
Haha I love that we are all at about the same spot in the series.
Friends check-in: season 3 episode 18.
Ross and Rachel were 'on a break' and Chandler is smoking again!
I've seen every single episode at least twice. While in college I watched the entire series on DVD twice. This week be my third time through! Like @leoandethansmom I still laugh (and cry) like it's the first time!
Friends check in: season 3 episode 23 (I think?) Ross has the thing on his butt.
It's almost 6 am and I'm still awake because LO is in the midst of her 3 week growth spurt and goes nuts if I put her down. I got to take a nap from 9-11am and 6:30-8pm yesterday. I never thought I could stay awake this long without drugs or excessive caffeine. I'm impressed with myself. And also see a headache in my near future.
@vcl2008 I plan on watching way too much tv today while I make lactation cookies, fold laundry, and cuddle with Chalupa. I think MH is just happy I don't make him watch Friends with me.
I'm on mobile, and the app will not update that I've had my baby. I get super angry everytime I open it and it says "you are 42 weeks pregnant!" no I'm not bump! I have a 3.5 week old! I think this we just got through the 3 week growth spurt. 3 days straight of basically nothing but eating. Last night she slept for 2 5 hour stretches. It felt like a miracle!
Thanks ladies for everything! We are getting discharged now with follow ups sunday and monday! Now just need to get our car functioning! Its one thing after another! But in a much better mood today!
I'm pretty sure my baby has conjutivitius. she has green gunk coming from her eye and it's all red. She has had a cough and been sneezing but no fever, but I thought it was just a cold. She is 3 weeks old and been to the doctor more times than me it feels like! I am hoping I'm just being a crazy paranoid ftm.
@heidig14 ask your doc, but my LO had a clogged tear duct. Green goop from the eye, but the eye wasn't red. Warm, wet cotton balls to clean the eye and it went away in a couple weeks. Hope it's something easy like that!

Research using breast milk on her eye! It's supposed to be a miracle cure according to one of my family members. She does it for her kids and herself and claims it cleared up the next day.

The doc said it is probably conjutivitius, but to just do compresses and it should clear up on it's own. I'm going to look into the breast milk thing too. Breast milk is so amazing!
Internet high-5s to all the other moms whose LOs got through the 3 week growth spurt. Ours began Tuesday morning and ended last night. She woke up from a nap around 8pm and was happy to just sit in the RnP while we talked to her.
She also passed her follow up hearing screening this morning, so it's just been a good day all around.
I became an old person today. I laid down on the floor and put LO on my stomach. When I tried to stand up, my back HURT. I had to move to the side and ease my way up.
katylou91 said: And the only anxiety I had was in he car.. My thought process in the car the entire time is "please don't cry, please don't cry". But other than that, I call today a mommy win!
Car crying is the worst!!!
I took Alaina out on my own on Saturday for newborn pictures. She screamed bloody murder in the car and I had to pull over four times to soothe her and myself. I felt horrible. HORRIBLE. I ended up crying along with her and apologizing over and over because I didn't know what to do to make her comfortable and stop crying.
Today's trip to the pediatrician was a win - no crying on the way there or back!
Married on October 20, 2012. Began trying in January 2013. RE appointment & testing December 2013 - February 2014= Unexplained IF, possible endometriosis IUI#1- March 22 (100mg clomid, 75 mg of Bravelle, Ovidrel trigger) = BFP!!!
I made a batch of lactation cookies and ate them all within a week. The recipe said to have 1-2 a day, do you think it was bad that I had 1-2 every few hours? They were so effing good.

oh man. I have them for breakfast every day, 1 or 2 after lunch and at least 1 more before bed. What recipe did you use? I did this one. They are fucking bomb, are they not?! I made mine 2 days ago and I'm already thinking about when I'll need to do my next batch.
ETA: yeah that recipe makes 4 dozen cookies. I am the resident oinker over here for sure.
I'm never going out with LO ever again. Or at least that's how I feel right now.
I was walking out of Kroger with LO happily snoozing in her Moby wrap (newborn hug hold is my new best friend) and this dumb college girl threw her car in reverse and nearly hit us. She ran over my cart and it scraped along the side of her car and she was still oblivious. When she saw me yelling she rolled down the window all confused and I yelled at her about how she had almost run over a freaking baby and all she said was "Oh dude I'm sorry, I was just trying to get your spot!" WTAF.
ETA: Aside from that, babywearing at the grocery store was pretty awesome. Free hands AND constant snuggles!
@RaeChay yes! That's what I use, I just add walnuts too. Do they count as Bon bons? Bc if so, I have totally been a SAHM eating Bon bons on the couch.
@stormygrace I have squirted LO in the face a few times.
Re: Hodor 2.0!!!
Haha, yep! I'll check to see if he's hungry or not by kissing either side of his mouth. If he tries to eat me, it's food time
Edit - QBF
Unlimited pancakes you say????
ETA: I still ate my weight in pancakes!
T&P with you and LO.
Cool
Ross is jealous of Mark right now. Why does Ross have to ruin things???!!!
