Im very happy im having a baby and everything. But im obsessing about my weight gain. Im 24 weeks and i gained around 7 kgs. My doctor told me it is a lot of weight to gain and encouraged me to watch it. All the weight is my ASS really. Is there a way to slow down the weight gain? Btw i dont eat junk food or sweets at all!
Re: Depressed about weight gain
PP's have a lot of good suggestions to help with weight gain. Just remember that your body is going to gain what it needs for your baby, which is different for everyone. As long as your eating healthy and exercising there's not much else you can do.
Bottom line, don't worry about weight if you're living a healthy life.
Weight gain is such a huge mind f@#$. I spent so long trying to lose it, that finding a Zen about gaining a few pounds is pretty hard to come by. Really, the best advice is to just keep relatively active and eat as best you can. Your body will gain what it needs to gain. And allow yourself a treat every now and again so you can keep your sanity!
Also, if you're goal oriented or pressure motivated get some kind of a fitness tracker that gives you a visual idea about how much you should be moving. You'll find creative ways to make sure you get in those steps! (and attaching it to your dog doesn't count. LOL)

As someone that has gained more than expected, I can say I've weighed myself twice that have caused me to cry.
Ps. I never actually focus on losing weight, I actually just focus on creating and implementing progressively difficult workouts to improve my strength and endurance, naturally the weight will drop off! In the past when I focused on "weightloss" I tended to gain weight!

I wish I could say that I'm on the same page. I'm the opposite. I get yelled at every appointment for not gaining enough weight. I lost 12 pounds in the first trimester and have only gained 2 pounds since. I'm 20 weeks and 2 days pregnant and every appointment I pray that I gained enough weight. I have talked to other mothers around me as to why I'm not putting weight on easily and it was pointed out to me that I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. They are what I crave and my go to snack.
While some moms might wish they were me, I wish I gained more! but your body will do what it needs to do to accommodate the baby!
Every time I go to her office she checks my bp. Its always on the high side. When the hospital checked it, it was much better. My husband is convinced its the scale that bugs me out and makes my bp leap up. They have even tried getting my bp before and after the weigh in and its still high.
I worry about my weight but I think about others that have gained more than myself with perfectly healthy babies. I try and keep that in mind.
