I guess I feel the most bizarre thing about sniffing that oil is that you are openly communicating that you are stressed.  If these women are supervisors, I can't say I think that's the best move.  Did I mention how much I love the smell of dry erase markers?  I hold back and only take a whiff every couple weeks, but I could totally whiff one all day long.

I have used target brand exclusively since size 2. I love them.
  • I have my daily work complaint and it's not even going to be interesting to read.

    1. Employee that was let go yesterday is texting me like nothing happened.  So, gotta deal with that.

    2.  I am helping someone get a process approved.  They asked for a statement explaining XYZ.  I told them they already had this and the information has not changed.  They said they needed an official statement.  Okay, I put XYZ on letterhead and made a few changes specific to their situation.  Their reply:  this looks a lot like what we already had but on letterhead.  GRRRR. EXACTLY, facts are facts, nothing has changed, JEEBUS.

I think I really want to buy the hemnes in blue...tell me it's easy to match furniture to it? and that it will match a blue/navy type color on the wall

That is what is in James room, but I don't like matchy matchy furniture sets. He had a white crib with dark wood accent and is getting an iron bed (currently just has a boxspring and mattress on the floor). His walls have been lighter colors (white now) but his carpet is berber blue and the dresser looks great on it. I wouldn't put the dresser against a dark blue wall but if it is on another wall, totally works. I posted the design board for his room earlier in this post with his blue dresser and an iron bed.

I have a email code for a b1g1free bundle from honest company. Not sure what I should get....i've never used their diapers before...or any of their products

I really like their body wash. And I've used the diapers too, they were good.

"Sad story" about my order from Honest.  I forgot to change my address with them and the bundle I ordered this month was sent to my old house.  :(
I have found their customer service to be amazing. I've never had my shipment to the wrong address but I have forgotten to size up and they sent me a return and told me pack up what I wanted to exchange and they would ship out a new one asap.

I don't like their powder laundry detergent but that is about it of the stuff I will not use again.

Ethan can pretty much use any diapers so I usually buy whatever is on sale.  I have found Target diapers to be just as good as Huggies or Pampers.  We just started with their overnights and those are working well too.

During the last couple weeks of my pregnancy, I randomly had horrible stomach issues like you described. It would last like 3 hours in the middle of the night and then I'd be fine, like nothing happened. It occurred a few times, once a week or so. I talked to the doctor about it and she said it was most likely a position a kid got themselves into and pushing on my insides. So, that's a possibility too.
That is interesting because she's most active around 11pm and when she's contorting around in there with bodybuilder strength, it kicks in the nausea.  When she stops moving and settles down, the nausea subsides.

  • @hmp1 seeing your prior post made me think of the blue dresser again. I love it and think it would look great as he grows as well. I think the crib will go against the blue wall and the dresser on another wall.

I think I'll do the diaper deal. Buy 1 bundle get one free sounds like a good deal.

I know I'm going to lose it anyway, so I'm not sure how that will work out.
If you have questions about this process reach out to me. Big piece of advice, do not move out early! After the auction, the agent will most likely offer you cash to move out so they don't have to do an eviction. And ask for more than they originally offer stating you are a single mom that has to pay movers and down payment on a rental. They won't just take it all away if you ask for more, they will either say that is the most they can do or will agree to $500 or so more.

Im staying here as long as I can. I mean, I'm sad and frustrated by the situation. I knew that I would eventually have to move, but not under these circumstances. The biggest anxiety I am having is actually packing and moving (I'm dreading this) and trying to figure out where the hell I'm going to go :( I'm sticking to my guns and not getting rid of the dogs but it's really going to complicate things for me :( I'm pretty pissed at my bank (BoA, surprise surprise) they have done nothing to help me the past 6 months to the point that it was more of a hassle than it was worth trying to get their assistance.

That's adorable. I'm about to pick her up, so we shall see how it went.

Our A squad is pig and bunny. They work as a team and they were both gross. She did keep saying they were 'yucky' and understood they needed a bath, but I'm not sure she realized that also meant that neither one could go to daycare.

One question and then I have to grade, but I'll be back later: Aria was doing pretty well with PT at home. She still doesn't communicate well, but DH and I do pretty well with her and we were down to 1 or no accidents a day. She won't talk at all at daycare (and hasn't ever), and then they put her in a new classroom on Tuesday. It was only her 2nd day wearing unders to school. She definitely won't talk to her new teachers so now she's having several accidents a day. I don't know what to do and I hate for her to get frustrated.

Maya was delayed in speech and started PTing before she had many words.  We taught her the sign language for "potty" and it worked pretty well.

Definitely try signing. If that doesn't work well, you can see if they'd have laminated picture of a potty that she can bring to a teacher as a symbol for needing to go.

I started teaching her the sign for potty and then stopped when I didn't need it. I will start using it again at home. The laminated card is a good idea too. I'm concerned that she won't even try to tell them in any way because she doesn't talk to them at all, even with phrases/words she uses all the time at home. She's just a watcher and does what the group is doing.

The speech therapist is going to start working with her at daycare 2/month to try and improve this, so hopefully that will help and they don't get frustrated with her before then.

  • Okay, can y'all tell me if I am overreacting?

Luci's car seat was in my mom's car when she totaled it. I asked a car seat expert and they said it needed to be replaced and shouldn't be used. It's been a week and a half since the accident and we haven't gotten a new one yet. Her good car seat is in my car and I was going to be late getting back to town tonight. DH was going to go get my car and go pick her up. DH lost his keys to my car and decided that he should use the accident car seat and go get her.

I think he acted irresponsibly by doing this. He argues it was 4 blocks and no big deal because he was careful. I could have gotten her and only been 10 minutes late.

Am I a bitch for thinking he was irresponsible?

On top of the -30 windchills today, it's now snowing.  It will only be about 3 inches or so, but it's going to be falling & blowing while everyone is trying to drive home today.

And of course, DH is out of town, so I have to do dual pick-up, take the dogs out in this weather and try to get dinner/bedtime all done at a reasonable time by myself.  I am not looking forward to tonight.

it will be hard but you can do it! Can you do the dog walk before you get the boys? Or run them around the back yard when the boys go to bed?

Thanks @Holly_1007‌! It was fine. The roads are miserable and Brody had a meltdown on the way home, but we survived the drive. :). Unfortunately I have to pick up the kids before getting home, so that didn't work for the dogs, but it's so cold, the dogs didn't want to stay out long anyway. And I totally realize I sound really whiny. I'm spoiled with help from DH.

Hi. I work in auto claims. Take a pic of the old seat, buy a new one and submit the receipt and pic of the old seat to the insurance company handling the claim, they will reimburse you. With regards to what your H did tonight I really don't think it was reckless, but I don't know the damage of the accident and the seat. I think best practice would be to get rid of it ASAP (remove all padding and cut straps) but sounds like he did the best he could in the situation at hand. Did he know you were only going to be 10 minutes late? Maybe he didn't want you rushing to try to get her on time and felt somewhat responsible since he lost his set of keys. I don't think I would be too hard on him, but I would have a discussion that it made you uncomfortable..

@willy_gert‌ I would be pissed at MH too if he did that. @Holly_1007‌ I keep forgetting to reply to your snaps! I'm sorry it's happening like this, but I think everyone knows those boys will not be leaving your side. Have you been able to have any contact with SD since the split?

Don't worry! The time zone messes with me! I usually open yours at like 5am haha! I bought SD an Alex and ani bracelet for Christmas and was able to give it to her on Christmas eve. H is relying very heavily on his mom to care for SD on his time (MIL does most pick ups and drop offs and SD usually spends one night of the weekend at MILs house) MIL and I are not on speaking terms at the moment, so no I really haven't had a chance to see her or Spend much time with her. She was at Keagans birthday party and she seemed to have a great time, but that definitely wasn't the time or place for an intense conversation.

I feel like my DH would do something like this, and how I feel about it would totally depend on the condition of the car seat.  I agree with the above, assuming the car seat did not have any apparent damage.  But keep in mind that I'm exhausted from constant carseat arguments and sometimes I don't want to have a balls out fight over it.

@hmp have you made a decision on James room yet?? This project has been in the works forever! I'm curious what your plans are?
Speaking of projects, melsax what are you up to girl?! I'm loving what I have seen so far for the boys room!!
I had decided on this bed, two twins. It is a PB knock off but I can't find it in a twin anymore (or maybe it was never available in a twin and I just wasn't paying attention). But will do something like this bed.
INSPIRE Q Giselle Antique Dark Bronze Graceful Lines Victorian Iron Metal King-sized Bed
The West Elm grey/white duvets are a steal at $30 right now so I think I am just going to do that.
Mod Stripe Duvet Cover, Twin, White/Dusty Navy
DH gave me a vintage double school desk for Christmas that I am going to re-stain and put between the beds.

I am going to hang the America rug that is currently on the floor up on the wall over his dresser. And get a solid rug to distract a bit from the blue berber carpet in his room.

And the main theme is Road Trip based on their favorite song by Ellis Paul. I am going to hang a picture from each scene mentioned in the song (Cadillac Graveyard, Dinosaur World, Golden Gate Bridge, Empire State Building...).

My goal is to have it all done by March. I'm just waiting to see how much my bonus is since I told DH I would use my bonus money to redo the room.

@hmp1 I just love this! Your taste is to die for!!
