@IndianaMommy08 - oh no!! I am praying for her, update us when you can!!
@mommymeg143 - haha! I'm loving the "cold weather" outfit! It was below zero here this morning! I think u need to visit you and get out of the stinky cold, it makes me nips hurt!
DH gave DD a bath today and he sang to her "I'm all about that bath, 'bout that bath, 'bouth that bath, no boubles" over and over. It cracked me up to hear and LO kept giggling too.
Calling for another 2-3 feet of lake effect here in the next 2 days. Hopefully we get snowed in. On another note, my LO sleeps great at night, but naps during the day do not happen unless she's on me. Don't get me wrong I love the snuggles but I need to shower and get ready for work! Anyone have tricks that would help?
LO is sleeping more lately which is great, but why do I feel more tired with more sleep? So strange!
Stay warm everyone!
This! I now get 6-8hrs of uninterrupted sleep now and I wake up tired every morning. When I was getting 2-3hr stretches I was not as tired. I'm confused!
@dmo1371 I have only visited Memphis but really like it
When I moved to the Cincinnati area almost 4 years ago, it was the first time I every lived more than 30 mins from home. I also had never lived in a larger city. I can say it's not that bad. there are nicer areas that you just have to look around and find where you like. I've met some good people /friends and found great doctors and jobs. It's scary if you decide to move away but it can be a lot of fun. Good luck on the decision!
@shaddox16 -thanks! We live close to a bigger city but there's really only one bad part of town. It's scary leaving not only your family but your job (and trying to find another I like), your docs, person that does your hair, the vet, etc. My husband really wants to move and it will be great for us financial especially in the long run so I'm sure we'll do it.

@IndianaMommy08 I'm relieved to hear it is not the flu and I'm sorry she has horrible reflux. Hoping the medicine (if you decide to go that route) helps her little tummy.
Mommy fail: ds1 leaked through his nap pull up and was out of back up pants. I had to pick him up early and poor kid was in his underwear...although he could care less
@heisenberg yes. It helps me mentally to have a bottle and a nursing cover and two pacifiers in case one drops. If I don't have enough supplies for every scenario I'll freak out.
I also had to learn to take everything half as fast as I normally go. You're allowed to be slow! Think of all the people who say fuckit and drive away when they see that the lady whose parking space they want has a kid with her. You are now that lady and you can take your sweet time.
Random question and I'm not sure where to post this... DH has the option of moving for work to Memphis. We've never been more than 2.5 hours from our hometown so leaving the familiar is scary. Even scarier are the crime rates in Memphis. I'm sure it's like any city where you're fine if you stay away from the bad parts of town but I was wondering if anyone here has lived or visited there. If so did you like it? It would only be for a couple years...
@dmo1371 I live in Nashville, which is different from the rest of the state. Since I've been here I have been to Memphis multiple times. It really does have a crime problem compared to here, as there are more poverty stricken areas and not as much newer infrastructure. I personally wouldn't want to live there as people still tend to "self-segregate" and for me, that makes me uncomfortable. Have you lived in the south? Where are you living now?
I grew up out west (CO) and have lived in NYC, Seattle and now Nashville, so I've moved quite a bit since college. I'd like to think I'm open minded, so I hope you know I'm just speaking openly since you asked. I had a hard transition moving to the south, but Nashville is not textbook "southern" like most areas are, either. I love it now but it's still an adjustment.
Edit for grammar
@kegcrc - yeah I was worried about what you described about Memphis. We're around Omaha NE now (have always lived in the Midwest). Would you not even want to live in a nicer suburb? Thank you for your honest opinion! It is very much appreciated. DH and I have a lot to talk about.

@dmo1371 I think anywhere is doable if you pick a nicer area. But then you're kind of stuck in that area. If it's temporary for work I think you could get through it. But yes, there are nicer suburbs. I could ask some friends for you if you want? (People who have lived there.)
@IndianaMommy08 - thank goodness!! That sounds terrifying! I'm sure she'll be fine for the GI test.
@sweetbabyrahe - haha!! I bet he thought it was pretty cool to run around in the undies!
@heisenberg - yes! I'm going month shopping tomorrow and am terrified! It's going to take awhile to get used to carrying around a little one!
I just made an adorable pair of slacks for Ronan, y'all!! They're tiny! We are going to a wedding this weekend, which will be fun, but freezing! It's supposed to be outside, under a pavilion, and the high is like 40.
I should feel guilty, but I don't... my husband comes home from work and makes dinner every night and cleans up, I'm usually feeding the baby and /or pumping while he does this. She naps while we eat and talk or watch tv. Even though I managed a 45 minute nap earlier today, i was exhausted after dinner. DH has the Bruins game on, and it was closing in on the time that LO was going to wake up for her next feeding. He suggests I take a nap...so I was a bad wife and didn't mention that LO would be up soon, i just passed out on the couch. I dozed on and off for 1.5 hrs while he fed & changed LO. I didn't even consider getting up to help. I pumped around 10pm and now I'm upstairs "sleeping" while he feeds her again and tries to get her to sleep. I needed the break, and I'm starting to think i should be napping at night more often! Otherwise i just do everything for LO if I'm up.
Re: Thursday Randoms

I got my pipe thawed but I'm afraid it's just going to freeze again with all this cold weather and crazy wind.
Also- I got the paperwork for Finn to start daycare next month and promptly began the ugly cry. I don't think that's a good sign.

How and when did you all get birth certificates? We received LO's ss card a few weeks ago, but haven't seen anything else.

@Snuffy007 I had to goto the health department to get a birth certificate - Missouri here.
@heisenberg I started out doing small outings. Only gone for 30mins, then an hour etc. longest has been 4hrs but my mom was with me.
Sending warm weather vibes to all of us coldies! Yesterday's high was 7F today it made it into the 20s, but the wind was killer.
