I have my A/S on January 14th. I know for sure that they will not tell me any health information and will also not tell me the sex. I have to wait until I see my doctor and with many clinics here you sign a release and they email you the results within 48 business hours. So frustrating they won't tell me the sex but I guess they want to have a doctor review the results to be sure. With my DD I was able to find out the sex at the scan and they showed me the parts and what they were looking for, it was such a special moment and I am a little disappointed that they don't do that here as my SO will not be able to be with me when I find out with my doctor.
@cnoelle92 you may want to edit your US pic to not include your name and other identifying info. Internet safety.
After I had posted it, I realized that I should have done that. I got a little too eager lol. Can you delete or edit posts after it's been posted to a thread? Never deleted a post on here before, so I have no idea.
I had my anatomy scan today. Everything looks good! They couldn't get all the angles of the heart and didnt get a good face shot so I have to go back in two weeks for that. Also, the tech said she couldn't confirm the sex of the baby because she couldn't get a good look. She didn't want to say either way and be wrong. With my first it was so obviously boy so I'm thinking it has to mean girl if she won't say for sure. Frustrating! What do you guys think? I'm so sad to hear this! I'm leaving for a week vacation to Scottsdale for some shopping and relaxation and planned to do some baby shopping as well. I already have enough gender neutral and of course boy clothes. I guess I won't be shopping for baby this trip Countdown to Jan 20 now to hopefully find out the sex!
I was told to do this once and when I got there, they told me I had drank too much water and to drink less the next time! Ugh!!! Like I wanted to be in pain?! Now I just drink normally no matter what they say.
Had our A/S today as well! So excited for a healthy baby BOY even though I was convinced it was a girl. All was well with baby medically but they have to monitor a marginal previa as the placenta is only 1 cm away from my cervix. Fingers crossed that it moves up!!
We had our anatomy scan at 17 weeks. Early b/c I have a hematoma they are watching. We found out we are having a girl!!! So excited!! We were shocked b/c I had taken the intelligender test and it said boy (it was previously correct when I had my son 5 years ago) so figured it would be right this time too. But it was wrong this time around! So excited for a girl! Now we will have 2 girls and a boy;)) in the sonogram the baby had a huge SMILE on her face!! We are naming her Makenna which means "happiness"!
Ecstatic to learn our baby BOY is healthy! Zachary James got his due date bumped to June 2 from June 5!!! All the parts looked good and he's got a big noggin, like his brother and sister!
Just had mine today! He's definitely a boy:) everything looks good so far but I have to come back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound. I measured at 18w2d so I guess they couldn't see everything? I'm not gonna stress over it though. I'm just glad he looks good so far. He was playing with his feet in there.
10 fingers and toes and measuring right on track! I just have a low lying placenta which has to be rechecked at 32 weeks but I don't care because the nugget looked great!

Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.
Just got done with my appt. Baby is measuring 2 days ahead! Everything looks healthy. Saving finding out the gender until we go out for dinner tonight. I can't wait!!!!!!
Got our scan today and tech said she couldn't get a good shot of the face to check for abnormalities so I have to go back in a few weeks. She said she wasn't able to see the nose or lips? Anyone have this happen? I made the mistake of googling other ultrasound photos and now I'm nervous something's wrong. Hope I'm over reacting..
Our girl was less cooperative than she was at 14 weeks... No good profile pics but all else looked great according to doc. We tried to shift her but she responded by giving middle finger (captured in photo). We knew sex from earlier bloodwork but the tech asked us not to tell him and he also said girl. Which is good, I had a bad dream he'd for some reason tell us something in opposition to test. Phew! Always reassuring to have an U/S.(Sorry guys, edited late to remove pic as it had some personal details!)
Had my anatomy scan today! Everything was measuring perfect. The sex was given to my mom in and envelope for the reveal party on Saturday. The baby was sitting Indian style and breech but she was able to spot the sex immediately (shes been doing her job for over 20 years). Im guessing a boy! (Though hoping for a girl)
It's a girl! The tech said from what she could see, everything looks good, but I have an appointment next Wednesday with my OB so I'll know for sure then. So happy!
OB appt tomorrow... I'll be 16.5 weeks, at this appt we will schedule the scan.... Hoping my OB will schedule it before 20 weeks.. Anxious to see that little man is doing well (materniT21 test at 11 weeks confirmed we are having a boy! First boy in the family either side, so excited!) is it common to do "20 week anomaly scan" before 20 weeks?
@saamb Our tech had the hardest time getting a picture of our baby's lips. It took a more senior tech to come in and work her magic (still hard because baby had his hands over his face).
I have to go back because my newbie tech didn't save a picture of my placenta and missed a shot of something else.
Don't worry! They are required to get a picture of it, so hopefully baby will be more cooperative when you go back!
Thank you. Hopefully I'm worrying about nothing!! Did they say if they would give you the results from the first scan before you go in for the second scan or after? The tech said they will probably wait a few weeks to rescan me but the results of this scan would be in next week and I don't want to have to wait until the second scan to ease my mind!
We just had our anatomy scan this morning. We knew from the harmony test that we are having a girl and everything looks good as far as parts and measurements. However, the doctor told me I have placenta previa and might need a c-section. I'm going back in 4 weeks to check if the placenta moved up. I know it's not a huge issue right now but I'm still worried. But anyway, despite Baby Norah's wiggling and uncooperative position, we got a good picture of her.
I had a sono at 13 weeks . I was told baby is girl based on three white lines! I was also told a it was a "guess". Anyone have the same experience? And if so was the "guess" right on!?! ( I am hoping for a girl already have a boy!)
I am 18w6d and my anatomy scan this morning showed our baby boy is measuring at 19w5d All went smoothly and we got this super cute picture of his little feet!
So exciting. I have my anatomy scan next Friday and I'll be 20 weeks. Do you guys recommend I drink a can of coke before? Or have a few candies? I want to make sure both babies are cruising so I can find out the sexes ( I know it's not just for the sex but I want to start shopping)
@Emilywooddesign, I always drink an orange juice before my scan. It's enough sugar to wake up the baby. You don't want them moving too much because then it's too hard to measure everything.
Congrats! I am new to the group. We had our anatomy scan today. We are a high risk pregnancy so they took a lot of time looking over everything. The good news is that she looks great! We have known for a few weeks that it is a girl! A blood test, which is new, told us the gender! How crazy is that! !??? I hope all of you with upcoming scans have great results!

I was told the same thing when I went in at 14w for an us as I am having twins. She said they both had the three white lines but she she said we will know for sure at the A/S. We have been calling them girls since then it will be funny if they both aren't girls! Good luck!
I will keep you posted, I have my scan next week the 15th. We will see if they are right. I am curious to find out if your baby will be a girl too because of the white lines.
We just had ours this morning.. All along I thought it was a boy but we got a beautiful healthy little girl.. She was moving around and kept her little legs wide opened for us... I think it maybe the half caf coffee I had
Had my A/S today and DH and I were thrilled to find out we're having a boy! We would have been happy either way but since we already have a DD we're happy to have a boy this time around
