Had our A/S today and it is a perfectly healthy baby BOY! Measuring right on target at 18w2days. We were both shocked as we were convinced it was a girl, but beyond thrilled. He was very active today... So much so that there was one final picture the tech couldn't get... So I get to have another ultrasound at my next appointment. Yay!
We had our scan Jan 7 and everything looks great. Baby is doing and growing beautifully, nice strong heartbeat. I still can't believe that we stuck to our decision to wait until birth to find out the sex. I'm so excited but trying to enjoy every moment for this will our last baby. We are due June 3, I hope I make it all the way to the end. I'm never ready for it to be over.
Had our anatomy scan today. First off, very healthy baby. Huge relief from our ultrasounds with our daughter, when they kept having me come back to follow up on things. Baby is already breech, just like big sister was. And huge shocker (just against my gut feeling and it doesn't run in the family), it is a BOY!!! I honestly don't think I'll believe it until he is in my arms. Telling DD and family tonight. They won't believe it either!!! Feeling so fortunate. Best of luck to everyone else!!
Just got back from our appt. A/S looked normal. 11oz and measuring a couple days behind 19weeks which was my estimation 18wks 5days. They think I should be 20 weeks this weekend based on period.
Anyway, things look healthy and we weren't going to find out but the tech didn't ask and told us it was a boy! Oh well! I'm excited, it's still surprising!! Two boys will be so fun!
We found out Tuesday we are having our fourth BOY!! We knew it all along and are very excited. Our three boys were with us for the ultrasound and it was so cute seeing their faces as the tech was showing them everything. Our youngest will almost be seven when he comes so it's like we are starting completely over.
Got our scan today and tech said she couldn't get a good shot of the face to check for abnormalities so I have to go back in a few weeks. She said she wasn't able to see the nose or lips? Anyone have this happen? I made the mistake of googling other ultrasound photos and now I'm nervous something's wrong. Hope I'm over reacting..
Finally got ahold of my doctor today and she said all is good, baby is perfectly healthy!! We got the tech to write down the sex and seal it in an envelope because we weren't sure if we wanted to know, well we couldn't wait and 85% IT'S A GIRL! We were so positive it was a boy! At 85% not sure if we should go out and buy pink paint yet though! Just happy baby is healthy
Went on Wednesday Jan 7th for us. As the tech was trying to get a shot between the legs she could see a shadow and said she thought it was a boy. She no sooner got those words out of her mouth and the legs opened wide and we got a very clear definite view of his package. So for sure yes its a boy! We are very excited. I didnt care either way but bf was hoping for a boy. It's our first. He asked the tech if everything looks good, she said from her stand point everything looked healthy and he was very active. Fought us the whole time. Might of been the big gulp of orange juice I had before I walked into the hospital haha. Didn't get a good profile picture he wouldn't let us. But she did get a face on shot and didn't see anything out of place so we were happy to hear. Seeing ob on the 23rd.
I'm 19 weeks and found out we're having a baby girl!!! We already have a 21 month old boy so we are very excited to have one of each now. This scan was a lot more thorough than the one with my son so we got a lot more photos when we left the office which was nice!
Ours was yesterday, everything looking healthy and good. Baby weighing in on schedule at 10 oz. Unfortunately baby was facing down / away so we didn't get the great profile shot. Tech had a hard time finding pictures to print for us.
We had them seal up the sex in an envelope for us to open later at dinner. MH asked the doctor how sure they were of the sex and she said 99% and that it was pretty clear and obvious. His logic was, she must have seen a penis, it must be a boy. But when we opened the envelope... GIRL! He was shocked! Haha. I told him earlier, lack of penis is probably as obvious as seeing one, so don't make any assumptions.
Girl matches what our US tech told us at the 12 week NT scan (think she was using nub theory).
I'm one of two sisters, and my dad passed when I was young. I told DH, the relationship between a girl and her dad is so important (the first man in her life) and I never had a chance to experience that. I'm really excited for our daughter to have that special bond with him...
Had the anatomy scan and everything is looking good and healthy that we could see! Baby was laying right on the spine though so the tech didn't want to clear us for the spine and we come back in 3 weeks for another ultrasound excited because we were only supposed to get one ultrasound and now we get another!!! They think that baby is a girl and is pretty sure but the results weren't obviously clear cause she was tucked in there. So the doctor said not to go painting the nursery pink yet. So we go back when I'm 22 weeks! Glad everything was looking healthy on baby so far! Truly a blessing!
Congratulations to everyone! It's so fun to read all the excited updates as you guys find out the sex of your babies. We did ivf with genetic testing so we knew all along both the boy and the girl stuck. Super exciting for sure, but there was no surprise about it. It's fun to see the surprises :-)
So I had my anatomy scan yesterday, and I woke up this morning with a pain somewhat under my belly button. My husband said it looks black and blue a little bit. The ultrasound tech was pressing really hard like to the point where it looked like my stomach was deformed. My husband even asked the tech do you have to press that hard. Could it just be bruised from the pushing? I'm not bleeding or cramping or anything to concerning. Just sore to the touch or when I brush up against something. I do have a Drs appointment on Monday. Anybody else had this happen to them?
This was my scan at 13 weeks and the lady said it looked like a boy. What do you all think? Photo is bum angle, one leg bent (you can see the foot) and one leg back. I think it would be to early but she was pretty sure
Patiently waiting until the 21st... I'll be 20 weeks exactly. I've had my last 3 a/s at 18.5. The doctor is guessing complete placenta previa again, but just a guess and one doctor said posterior placenta and another said anterior... Uhhhh... Not to mention I'm really anxious to find out boy or girl just because my 6 and 4 year old are so excited to know. I told them I'd make them a cake to surprise them with pink or blue in the middle. They are super excited. Hubs is sad because this is the first time he won't make the anatomy scan. he works nights this month and will be right in the middle of his sleeping. There was no avoiding it... I feel so bad for him and want to make it special somehow still since he is sad about it too. He couldn't ever make most of my appointments but he always made the a/s and birth before... Any advice how to make it special for him? This is his favorite part because finding out the sex he says finally gets him excited and connected to baby in some way.

Can you have the tech put baby's sex in a sealed envelope and you two open it together?
Congratulations everyone!! So exciting and emotional reading everyone's experiences. I am scheduled for A/S on 1/21. I will be 19w6d. I cannot wait. We are hoping baby cooperates and the Tech can get a good look. We will have the Tech put the gender in a sealed envelope for our gender reveal. Hopefully everything goes well for us and all you mommas!
AndasKnits I think that's a great idea!!! I didn't even think about that. He told me well you should text message me right away or something but what's the point of a text message if he is sleeping... We could open it together and then let the kids find out the next day by cutting into cake... Thanks!!!
I should also say hubs is sad he can't go because he is always nervous something will be wrong wth baby and he wants to be there in case I get bad news... That is the point of the scan. His sister found out at her anatomy scan she was having twins and they both had died only a week before and they immediately had to go to labor and delivery and that was before our first kid was born so ever since then he gets way nervous for the anatomy scan. Ah. I love my hubs. He is too good to me and I just want to make things special for him too.
Im having an utrasound tomorrow at 16w2d just curious but did anyone have an internal us after the first appt? They didnt warn me or anything last time and it was really uncomfortable. Has anyone had to have one for the gender check before? I want to be prepared.

At 9 and 13 weeks I had a transvaginal ultrasound. I'll be 18w4d Wednesday at my anatomy scan and I have no idea how it's going to go down.

My OB wanted to have my cervix measured, so I had a transvaginal
US at my A/S as well as an external. This time the tech actually warned
me before inserting the wand, so it went way better than last time. The external is super easy. Gel on your abdomen, the tech rubs the wand on the gel, and mine kindly narrated. It went a lot faster than I thought it would, I guess LO was cooperating. Not so much on holding still for photos, but they seem to have gotten everything they need.
19+5 today and I had my scan. she's healthy and definitely a girl. The Dr did find a water filled cyst in her stomach so I need to go back in 4 weeks to see if it healed or still there. Dr said not to worry. So I'm trying not To. Also my little angel is very mobile in my belly lol she was wiggling and bouncing around the entire time
I just went in for my a/s to find out that my ob forgot to mark this appointment as an ultrasound so it was only a regular appointment. They had an opening for an ultrasound appointment 5 hours from now, so now I have to come back. I'm glad they had another appointment, but I am still really upset that I had to reschedule it. =(

I went in at 16 weeks and the umbilical cord was between the legs hard core! But my anatomy scan is at the end of the month when I'll be 20 weeks! Can't wait
I am getting so excited. It's great to see all the results posted! I am having my A/S this Friday. I still don't have a feeling of what we will be having So I am sure to be surprised.

Not internal. I think maybe for the first 3 months they do the internal one.
