I just thought about how much I love the name Hudson--but for a boy. I probably wouldn't go with it just because it starts with H, and DD's name starts with H. I don't want to commit to naming all of my children with H's...or have people think I want to do that.

A family at the school where I am a teacher has called their kids; Baby Girl, Princess and Daddy's Boy. No Joke - Those are the names on their Birth Certificates!! I find it impossible to keep a straight face in the classroom.

I've worked in the public school system off and on. Some of the more unique names I've come across are:

Lovends. He had two little brothers named Beloved and Welloved.

I also knew a kid named Kalel Anakin.

I currently live near a Cherokee Res. So
the names that come out of there are interesting:
Tahnanah
Awee
Abree
Tsalagi

But the last names are the best:
Walkingstick
Wildcat
Climbingbear
Bigmeat

My husband knows a guy named Johnson Bigmeat. No joke!

These are hilarious! One that really sticks out for me is a family friend who called her daughter: Melania. Melanie + Narnia is all i think about when i hear it... Along with 'why?'.

It amazes me how many nurses tell their friends names of their patients, that could be a major Hippa violation...lol .... Anyways I hate the name Isla , zeeke, and when people use last names for first names "Jensen, Rodgers, Wilson, Smith" it's like having 2 last names for one name lol

My cousin played baseball with a kid named Da'great. I thought that was interesting. And I had a little girl in one of my classes named Quinterreia. I wonder how long it took her to learn to spell that.

I really don't like when people name their kids after something that can't afford. You never see a lady driving a Bentley with a kid named Bentley.

Also, question. How would you pronounce the name Jad?? I know a couple who just named their little boy Jad but I have no clue how that would be pronounced. Like Jade (even though it's missing the 'e') or like Lad with a J?? Those are my guesses.

Haymish, why on earth? it's sounds like corned beef hash to me for some reason. Or Rainy River....I understand the quest to come up with unique names but it can get a little out of hand. My DS name is Wyatt Kaiden, my family was aghast at his middle name and at my DD which is Isabella Adriel, pronounced A-dree- el. They all said it was too weird and so on. I like kind of quirky unique names for middle names, but I love traditional old school names for first names.

Yup. My husband has the exact same first and last name and it frustrates the shit out of him. People usually refuse to believe it's his real name, which is annoying. He also shares the same first name with my dad. Needless to say we will never be having a junior for that reason haha.

Lemanjello (lah-mahn-ja-lo) and Oranjello (Or-on-ja-lo).

Last name thyme (pronounced time) twins first names: Justin so like just in time, and Indinicka (pronounced in-dee-nick-a) so like in the nick of time - no middle names. Who would do this to their child?
