I can't stand nevaeh. It's just not right. And how it's pronounced it should be spelled neveah... which is NOT heaven spelled backwards. I also know of a real La-La (ladashla), and I have a hard time with names like Canyon Storm (first and middle).
I'm a high school teacher and I have seen some great ones.
1) Emotions but she went by Emotia 2) Benjamin T. Dover. Bless his parents heart. I don't think they ever heard the joke.At least he went by the middle name. It took his entire freshmen year for the front office to stop paging "Ben Dover." Facepalm. 3) This year I have the first of a long set of girls. Their mom's name is Breezy. She named them all weather related names. I have Stormy right now. There is also an Icey, Rainey, and a Sunny. I can't wait. 4) Donta. Pronounced Dante. It just annoys me.
I have a few: I worked with a girl who named her daughter Onnesty Justice! I briefly worked at Sears photo center, and the worst name I came across there was Thunder Raine! But the one I personally dislike the most is Nevaeh... Because "it's Heaven spelled backwards!" ugh. I hate this name lol!
When we were pregnant with my DD' my hubby was really set on naming her "Cobb" if she were a boy...like the salad. I told him it would make me hungry evey time I had to say his name. Also, I knew two sisters in high school named Winter and Storm. Oi
Some interesting names I have come across.... all actual people: Breezy Nickerious One Twenty Gennessee (named after a San Diego freeway exit, but spelled wrong) Crit Kaytchyn Dusty Rose Chayse (whhhhyyyy the 'y'???) Brantley Flossy Butts (she was a sweet old lady at my first dental office job. I was 16, and thought it was hilarious)

I just named our new puppy Cobb! It's short and simple and we Randall (sp?) Cobb from the Packers so it worked for us!
Okay, I have a name related question. My sister has a little boy named Lincoln. She calls him "Link" for short. But while texting I always call him Linc, since it's half his name.
Well she just called me out on it. And seems super offended that I won't call her kid the nickname she has given him.
I realize I'm being overly hormonal about this. Because it's her kids' name for crying out loud. But I just want to ask her why the hell she named him Lincoln if she was just going to refer to him as the Legend of Zelda character his whole life?
My brother in law used to be a teacher and had a student named Avonlady.
Also I used to be acquainted with brothers named Random (the elder) and Extra (the younger). I guess the parents were trying to be descriptive with their baby naming?
My friends husband wanted to name their son Leonitis. I don't know what's worse naming your kid after a 300 character or that it sounds like a disease. Thankfully they went with Logan instead!

Who's on her side?
I say.... Link with a k? Linc with a c? Who gives a damn. If it were my kid I wouldn't let it bother me. And if it were my sister I would know that if she were trying to get under my skin then not letting it bother me would drive her up the wall :-D
The school I teach at is right next to a Micmac Reservation, so some of the students who live there have really interesting names. They're not something I would name my own child, necessarily, but I like that the names have deep roots in their culture and they're really unique. Here are a few:
BOYS
Kahlil (kah-LIL)
Nagoozet (NAH-goo-zet)
GIRLS
Azibis (Ah-Z-bis)
Gesig (guess-ig)
Mishun (mees-hun)
August 2015 Siggy - Favorite Mean Girl(s) - Cinderella's step sisters
@MissAva387 (let me preface this with I'm a HUGE Seahawks fan) Do you dislike because of the name, or because he slept with Russell Wilson's ex wife and the Hawks chose the player that won them the Super Bowl instead of a classless a-hole?
Speaking of the Hawks, a few years back there was a player on the practice squad named Taco Wallace!
I use to baby sit some kids, Doug and Mary. Not so bad...but their full names were Douglas Fir Tree and Mary Christmas Tree! WTF!!
I think it's weird when people give the last name as the first name. I went to school with an Aaron Aaron. Or like Philip Phillips.
Yup. My husband has the exact same first and last name and it frustrates the shit out of him. People usually refuse to believe it's his real name, which is annoying. He also shares the same first name with my dad. Needless to say we will never be having a junior for that reason haha.
Re: Horrible names
I don't know if it's clever or stupid, but it's definitely the most interesting name I've come across.
