No results for I was hoping for a girl too but doctor said it's likely boy , could see the pepe clearly. He just didn't want to confirm. Aww my baby sucking his thumb..
Gotta wait until the 21st. I'm a little bummed that we won't find out the important health stuff right away, but it probably should have occurred to me that the tech wouldn't do that (since they never give results on any other diagnostic test I've ever gotten). Think I got spoiled on those in-office ultrasounds with the OB right there.
We should get to find out the 20th!! Having my scan then and I'm a first timer so can someone explain to me what the scan is all about???
@bmillsap89 It's a lengthier scan where they check out and measure body parts to be sure everything is properly developed and there are no issues that need to be addressed immediately, before birth or right thereafter. If you're interested, they'll also try to identify the sex organs, as long as baby's position cooperates.

Honestly can't remember if I posted something already. Pregnancy brain Oofa..Anyway my anatomy scan is the 12th. I'll be 19+5. At 15/16 weeks they said they think it's a girl so I'm excited to get confirmation and to make sure she is healthy bc I am very anxious to see she's doing good in there
We find out the 21st. Should I drink a ton of water before this appointment? No one has really said if I need to or don't. I did for our last ultrasound and the tech giggled at how full my bladder was.

My little instruction sheet says j have to drink four glasses of water and then not pee, which sounds impossible. But apparently some places don't require/recommend that, so maybe ask your OB.
@tiffanyhowton at my OB they have very new machines and I don't have to drink any water before hand. It all depends on what kind of machines your office has.
@tiffanyhowton my ob office has me drink a lot if water. I hate it because I am so uncomfortable it is hard to even enjoy my ultrasound time! And I only drink 2/3 of what the instruction sheet said. I have my anatomy scan the 28th. I might try drinking a little less this time. Last ultrasound my baby moved so much they had trouble getting measurements. Tech said she'd never seen a baby move so much so who knows how long this next one will take.
I had mine on the 2nd (due June 4th). Very healthy baby BOY! My SO is beside himself he's so excited. I wanted a girl but I also love being able to call IT a HIM. Very reassuring to know all is well in there.
Anyone go for their scan to someone who is not their primary OB? I have mine the 16 (I'll be 20 weeks +2 days) and I'm worried they wont tell me boy/girl or if we have healthy development since it's not my regular doctor... I'd love to hear from someone that might have had a similar experience

Yes, my OB sends patients out to a maternal fetal medicine office (affiliated with the same hospital), I'm assuming because they have fancier US machines and specialize in the various screenings. They took a guess at sex at our NT scan, so assuming they will tell us for sure this time.
Also, when I called to ask how long the appointment would last, they mentioned an hour for the US and then 30 minutes for the doctor to review results and talk with us. So we will definitely get face time with doc to find out about health and how everything is measuring.
I'm going in this Friday the 9th, so I'll let you know for sure!
I go to a midwife and my scan was at a different hospital....
jmk729, They should definitely tell you the sex! They wouldn't tell me if everything was healthy or not (sent the results to my midwife instead), but they did show the sex at the end.
wormgerm, They told me my midwife would go over it at the next appt, or they would call me if there were any immediate concerns. I would assume you can call them to follow up sooner if you feel anxious!

For my first I went to the hospital for my ultrasound.. And they talked to me the whole time and told me what I was having. I even got to take home pictures and CD
Congrats! I did the Harmony Test which tests for chromosomal abnormalities. They were able to tell its a girl by her chromosomes. I found out at 13 weeks! I go for my 19 week ultrasound next week!! XOXOX to all you mommies!!
We had our a/s today. I'm 16w 6d but baby was a show off. We're having a little boy! It was amazing and reassuring to see him flip and roll. Apparently I have an anterior placenta so it will still be awhile before I get to feel anything.
We had ours today.. our third child and it's a third girl !
Me too!!
I have my anatomy scan on 1/19, but I had an ultrasound at 17 weeks and the baby had his/her legs crossed and the umbilical cord was running up the middle. It was impossible to see much of anything but in the doctor's words: "I'm not seeing evidence of a penis." I have a feeling this will be my third girl, too. I'll let you know after the 19th.
Minion was a little stinker during the ultrasound and did not want to get out of a super curled up position. But... It's a boy! Everything looked good on the a/s but I will need a follow-up a/s because the tech had a difficult time getting minion's heart and spine... Silly minion!

19 weeks and had the anatomy scan today! Perfect head to toe team green so no gender reveal. But baby had its dukes up for the camera haha got a boxer on my hands already!! Such a breath of fresh air to hear everything is ok!
Survey says BOY! DD and I will be officially outnumbered. Everything looked fine, although he wasn't too keen on showing his face, or spine, or anything but his equipment, lol. edit: tech said he's measuring about 3 days ahead... but I'll be crossing my legs May 29th and having DS's 4th birthday party!
My anatomy scan isn't til the 15th but was dying to know before anyone else everyone wants me to have a girl. So now I gotta play surprised I guess. Got what i wanted another boy
I had my A/S scan today and we're having a girl!!! It was cute to see how excited DH was, he kept singing "we're having a girl" all the way home from the hospital
Just had our anatomy ultrasound today at what we thought was 19w 3d. Turns out baby measured in at 18w 3d! We were a week off! lol Baby is a healthy little girl! Feeling very blessed as we have a sweet little 2 1/2 year old boy!! I've attached the ultrasound, with our first born being at the top! I think they look a like! lol
