Re: shaving

  • I wasnt referring to up there... I was referring to the actual vagina part.

You should really use the "quote" button so we can see who you're replying to... Although that statement is pretty funny all on it's own :)

Did I do it right this time lol

@blu-eyedwife‌ and @asutherl‌ and @awheeler4311‌ ... Yes waxing is a bit more painful during pregnancy!!! (It was my very first clue that I might be pregnant as I've been waxing for about 15 years now and the pain has long gone away, it Suddenly hurt again one day.) it is also more sensitive during your period, but I feel like pregnancy takes it to a higher level. It is generally safe while pregnant, especially if done in a reputable establishment. That said, maybe an easygoing, sides of the bikini wax might be a good place to start if you've never waxed before. Because even with the pain, I love love love it much better than shaving. You could also see how your skin will react that way, too, without getting too close to more "sensitive"parts, because your skin may behave a little differently while pregnant as well. And @asutherl‌ I would definitely recommend a trial wax before the big trip! ETA: just make sure you get good references! Botched waxes suck badly enough when not in a more sensitive state! And words are hard lol
  • If you have a body mirror use that to shave down there!! I have one in my vanity area and it helps out a lot so I can see what I'm doing!!
  • I want to second the other nurses here: skin is skin is skin to us...we see so many sets of people's private junk that we don't remember what you looked like by the time we leave the room... HOWEVER if you don't shower, we will shudder and unwillingly remember what you smell like. Hygiene is important, but hair status? Not so much.
